Today is a Tuesday I want to ask Travis for half day on Friday cause I am planning to home. I really can't keep Trevor's secret knowing my dad he will say I am condoning what he is doing so I want to save myself from being shouted. I am already at work. This week it's not busy. I walk to Mr Patton's office and knock
"Come in" He says. I walk in and find him standing on his schedule board.
"Good afternoon Mr Patton" I say and He chuckles.
"Cut the formalities babe" He says with his contagious smirk
"You are Mr Patton at work and my love/Travis outside work" I say
"And why is that?" He asks sitting down and I also take a seat opposite him
"Because it's professional, you don't want to hear Melody calling you Love cause she heard me calling you that" I explain.
"Fair enough but it kinda sounds wack now that I am too used to love, baby or Travis when I am reprimanded" He says with a smirk to the last part
"I never reprimand you" I say with a smile. I honestly love the connection between the two of us.
"Yes you do. How can I be of assistance to you my love?" He asks. Ow he loves making me blush. I suppress it with all the power I have
"May I please have a half day on Friday. I have family crisis that I need to sort out" I say
"What kind of family crisis" He asks removing his glasses.
He told me the reason behind them. He can see, he uses them when using Pc and other gadgets. I tell him about the reading am going home.
"Your little brother is a man" he says chuckling
"My dad is going to go crazy. Do you think I am wrong for making him be the one breaking the news to the family?" I ask
"No. It's actually a good thing. Like you said your family is close and supportive so there's no need for him to hide this. He needs to be scolded for his mistake" He says.
"Yeah so that's the reason I am going home" I say. It's been a minute since I've been home
"Okay. You may take the entire day. I'll also be going to Cape Town on Friday to drop Ariana at my mom's place for the holidays." He says
I even forgot about school holidays I am sure those rascals will want to come to my place. I have to ask Anita to bring her nanny with them cause I am planning on taking my brothers also.
"Yeah that he I am going to be crowded. They are coming to my place" I say.
"Don't tell Ariana that cause she will cancel going. She doesn't stop asking about when will they catch up again" He says. I giggle
"My lips are sealed. Does your mom ever come to your place"
"She last came last year June because Ari was sick she had a cold. She loves her place so it's hard to get her here not unless it's a blackmail from her granddaughter" He says chuckling
"Yeah Ari and blackmails I wonder where she learnt them from" I say looking at him firmly
"Definitely not me. Why are you looking me like I am a victim" He says smirking
"As charged my Lord" I say and he laughs. Oh the sweet laugh. I stand up to show that I am leaving. We never end talking with this one
"No nooo no no you are leaving already" he asks looking at his wrist watch
"Yeap or else I will never leave. We never stop talking" I say
"It's almost lunch so I don't see the need of you leaving and guess what?" He asks. I have no clue of what so I just ask 'what?'
"I cooked lunch for us" He says with a smile. I bust with laughter
"You cooking. Mr Dlomoyou are playing with me" I say in between the laugh
"Wow so you thought I don't know how to cook. Sit your arse down and taste my food" He says. I laugh more. Did he just say my arse at work? So unprofessional
"Let me go fetch my phone and close the door. I came here as someone who is leaving shortly" I say walking out and meeting Brian by the door
"Talitha" Brian says as he walks in. Ow today I am not Talili. I smile and greet him back.
I get into my office and pick my phone. I find three missed calls from a number I don't know. Wait is that some parcel. I walk to the table and open the paper bag. I find all my favourite junk food inside with a note 'Enjoy Cupcake'. This are definitely from Dan he's the only guy who knows me so much and also Calls me Cupcake.
I seriously need to see him so he can get the f**k out of my life. I pick the Pringles and walk to Travis's office, my phone rings just as I about to enter the door.
"Dan" I answer. I just have to say that because it's another number
"Hey. How are you" he asks
"I am good and how are you" I answer politely. I am standing by the pass-way.
"I am good I hope you received your goodies" He says
"Yeah I did thank you. Look I have to go I am at work" I say
"Okay but can you please tell me when are we going to meet?" He asks.
"I'll see you Friday, 10 a.m." I say
"Okay then enjoy the rest of your day" He says and hang up. Men men men!!!!!
I walk in the office without knocking and find him with Brian talking and they stop as soon as they see me. Fishy!! I put the Pringles and my phone on the table, pick the lunch boxes and walk to the kitchen for warming up. After I am done I walk back and find Brian leaving.
"What's with the connection with the two of you" I ask as I sit down.
"He's my brother from another mother" He says picking up the lunchbox with the fork. We are having mince and macaroni
"As in like same father??" I ask. It can't be. No actually it can they have some little resemblance but I just thought it's possible
"Yeah. My dad married their mom after divorcing with mine. He actually cheated. I was like 10 and never saw him again until before he was dying. Umh he left us the business with divisions. I only got shares hence we added the Law Firm, it was just Patton Holdings." He explains.
"What? And here I am thinking you are friends" I say. "So even the Accounting and Public Relations guys are your brothers?" I add
"Yeap. They are my blood brothers. I am the elder one" He says.
"Wow okay. It's great that you guys are running the Patton legacy" I say shoving food on my mouth
"Yea but it was tough at first because the will had so many demands. They couldn't access anything until I was found and that made things worse with the family. My mom and I were called all sorts of names and what not. I decided to be the bigger person and give to them. I wanted to sell my shares but Brian advised me otherwise. He was the one who got me. The others we recently got along" He says and digs in his food
"I can imagine family" I say.
"Yeah it's tough but we conquered. I grew up pretty bad. My mom was fending for me to be able to go to school. There were times whereby we would sleep without eating. She would go the bins and pick up things there" He says and stop. It must be tough. He exhale loudly
"Wow babe and there is no sign of how you grew up. Honestly you look like the silver platter kind" I say
"Yeah I know it's because I fought my way out of poverty. It's not a nice feeling. Do you know when I graduated my mother gave me a box of shoes that was filled with receipts of the 10 rands she used to send me. Standard bank back then was still allowing for deposit of 10 rands" He says.
Yoh indeed never judge a book by its own cover. This guy looks like he had it all together from a tender age but also the way he is humble shows that he knows where he comes from. I am speechless
"We made it. That's all I can and God's plants fulfilled" He says
"Indeed. Where is Primrose I haven't seen her on a while" I ask. She's the girl I kept on finding him with. His face changes
"I don't know she's somewhere in life" He says
"Owh okay. Trouble in paradise?" I ask. The answer I got no one prepared me for it. It was "There was none to begin with"
"where are your wipes?" He asks. Change of topic
"I left them in the office" I say
"How can you leave them what are we suppose to use" He says. Mxm this one thinks am his sister or mother
"Gosh I don't know. I'll bring them to stay in here" I state
"And the day I eat in your office?" He asks.
"I don't know you'll carry them" I say
"No so much work" He says. Then whose work must it be?
"You do t even sponsor to buy one that will stay in one of the office" I say. He chuckles
"No ways. You are the lady to carry those so sponsor us" He says laughing
"You are abusive you know" I state and he laughs more.
"Yeah to you I am. You are the bigger version of my sister" he says with a smirk
"You are crazy" I say
"You are the one who makes me crazy" He says . Okay !!!
"You know I was a good man until you came with your craziness and now I am just over" He says with a smirk
"Love!! Don'tsay that" I say. I stand up lunch I over.
I get to my office and continue with my work. I call my and ask him to bring his two rascals over on Friday. I just can't wait to have time with them.

Brain walks in to Travis's office and find him busy on his Pc. He walks to the chair and sit down
"Bro" Brain says as he can see Travis didn't notice him
"Ohh brother when did you get in" He asks
"I have 10 minutes. What's up? You look stressed and don't tell me it's work" Brian states to Travis
"Bro it's Litha. How do I tell her that I am into her? I feel like our space will turn out different. What if she doesn't feel the same way about me.?" Travis says rubbing his head roughly
"Just tell her bro just like I did with Melody and if she cuts you off then so be it" He says.
"I feel with you and Melody it's different. She works in a different department and me and Litha are stuck here together" he states
"Yeah right. What is she doing to you?" Brian asks
"I don't know Brother but there's something that she does that not even my wife managed to do" He says and continues telling him about how he feels and also about the massage that she gave him and how it left him
"Damn it's deep" Brian states
"I know Bro and to think that not even s*x is between" Travis says
"Or maybe there's that s****l tension" Brian says chuckling
"you are getting drunk now" Travis says. Brian chuckles
