SHE HAD HER REASONS

Years later, Kelly was already 22 years and was already a graduate but had no male or other female friends except from Mercy, she grew up in a peaceful, loving family and she has grown up to be a really good girl aside from her fighting those who wants to harm her. Some even compared her to an untainted snow, well and pure but some mocked her, calling her little Miss Priss.

As she was growing up, Kelly had gotten used to most people mocking her but her grandparents always encouraged and advised her not to let the words of people break her down. She had been trained not to keep negative mindset and she her self has decided that there was no way she would let those people break her down.

She had her reason of why she had never had any male friend even now that she is already 22 years. When she was 17 she realized that she had developed a trauma, she never wanted to become use to any male friend because she didn’t want any one to Miss her when she was gone.

Kelly had witnessed how her grandparents missed her parents every day, she understood what it meant to loose the ones we love. She witnessed her grandparents crying countless times at night without them noticing it. It pained her when ever her grandparents cry, holding her parents picture . It was so unbearable for her, that’s why she wouldn’t want any one to get so attached to her. Seeing Mercy makes her cry because she knew how lonely her friend would be without her presence.

She also over heard her grandmother saying that the world was meaningless to her, that she would prefer death to torture. That was when she realized that she was the reason her grandparents were still living but what about when she is gone???

Years later after her parents died, Kelly was diagnosed with the same illness that killed her mother, it was said that she had inherited same sickness. Her father died by accident after hearing and couldn’t believe the death of his wife so he went out to drink but the result was negative.

Ever since she knew about her illness, she had been battling with it. She was just 17 + that time and she knew that just like her mother, she just have 5 more years to live. It was so painful that her mother died very early that she had just little or no memory of her mother or her father

Knowing that she would not live long, she decided to stay far from boys. She never wanted to get married not because she does not wish to, but because she just doesn’t want to make any one pass through what her grandparents are passing through. Because of that, when ever any male friend approach her, all she could say was “sorry, i am not interested”. She did all she could to avoid boys that was why she some times dresses off and also love beating up boys that crosses her path.

How ever, as years passes by, Kelly began to question her self.

The desire that she had been suppressing all this while was getting out of control. she had been dreaming of wanting to express how it feels to love someone. Though, she was loved by her grandparents, Mercy and the children at the orphanage where she normally goes when ever she is bored and when ever Mercy wasn’t there to keep her company.

Kelly wanted to experience how it feels to have butter flies in one’s belly and how it would feel to spend some time with that particular person you cherish.

She had read so many kinds of books that has to do with love, so she could not help it but to wish she could experience the so called love before she dies.

That was her only wish, to have someone she could love even not being loved back. At least in that way, she wouldn’t make any one miss her when she is gone.

But she was torn, and worried sick, she didn’t want to leave any one behind to suffer when she was gone. She didn’t want anyone to experience the lost and pain her grandparents were going through till now.

For years, she had been thinking about it and she thought she had already accepted her fate but now that her due date was getting closer, the desire in her heart only kept on getting stronger. So she decided to be brave and try her best to make her wish come true with the little time she had left.

the only way she could fulfill her wish was to look for a man who she will fall in love with but would never fall in love with her. Maybe she was looking for a statue. She had read and heard about one sided love, she also heard that those kind of love was very painful, she never thought of that aspect but she still needed it. If this was the only way to experience falling in love, she would gladly throw her self in it no matter what it takes. She thought that not been loved back in return was something she could handle on her own and she would prefer it that way rather than not even experiencing what love really mean. she had remembered a book she ones read that has a quote on it which says " it is better to have love and lost, than never to have love at all.

Kelly decided to share her situation on line as an anonymous but here is what someone said concerning her situation.

“Since you don’t want any one to fall in love with you, why not just pick a random bad guy? i mean there are lot of jerk and heartless i***t out there who only know how to break hearts "

when she read it, she decided to try it but her fear was what if that heartless i***t fall for her at the end?

She had just a year now and she was doing just fine. Everyone around her never knew about her illness not even Mercy except from her grandparents.

Kelly knew that her illness will worsen in the 5th year. Kelly also knew that she was running out of time, still yet she had never seen that one heartless guy.
