Raven
I tried to think of the message I got from Alpha Stone, I tried not to let those words bother me and move on with my life.
Alpha Musky offered the Pack a bit more of what I expected, and if I do ally with him, every other Pack was going to know. The meeting with him had gone well, and it got me thinking if there was something I should do.
I would have to risk it if that was it, knowing that I was going to have someone like him on my side of the pack.
I have not been able to contact the kids since the divorce, and they must have been aware of the divorce. I wondered what Ethan must’ve told them, what lies he was feeding them about me now.
When I decided to track down Alpha Stone because of the work of Kaid, I had to cross my mind out of some thoughts about him and the kiss that he had called a mistake, I guess I had to leave it at that.
I tried tracking him down but I couldn’t find anything on him. There were a lot of blank pages. Each time I tried to hack into his system and find things about him.
I needed to get through his server, but there was nothing still.
I left the computers a bit frustrated, I couldn’t get anything on him, I wonder why it was like that, even the phone he used to call me couldn’t be tracked.
I had to check on the last and recent one, the one that he asked me to save. I hesitated before I took out the number. I was able to use that to track his current location. I knew where he was, and it happened to be somewhere close as if he was in the Pack.
I needed more than just this to get what I wanted from him, he was the only one I couldn’t read through, the one I couldn’t just understand.
He gave me mixed feelings and got me confused each time I was around him. I didn’t want it to be that way, I wanted everything to be clear and concise but with him, it was different.
His location showed that he was around the Pack, he was somewhere in here.
I closed up when I couldn’t get anything else, wondering if he was here at the Pack because of me. I stood up from the chair and moved down to the bed with a contemplative finger over my jawline.
I didn’t want to go back to my computer to look at the exact place that he was, I was tempted to, so I went back to it, sat down, turned the computers back on, and started working again.
His location had moved, he wasn’t where he was some minutes ago, and for some reason, it felt closer now.
I stared at the exact location on the screen, and he was coming down to my house!
I was startled when I found out, pushed my chair backward, and stood up, he was coming down here after he claimed that the kiss was a mistake?
What else does he want?
Say it to my face that he shouldn’t have done it? How much did he regret doing that?
I was going to say that I felt the same, I wasn’t going to make him think he was anything special, because he clearly wasn’t.
I closed the computers this time, and walked out of my workspace, closing the door behind me.
I walked down to my room, my phone was on the bed, there wasn’t any missed call from him or text, but I knew he was heading this way.
I went to the balcony which was a straight door from my room, I opened it and glanced around to see if there was anything in sight.
I saw the car driving towards the direction of the house, it slowed when it got closer and I took my gaze away, had my gaze over at something else, it came closer, and I tried not to watch, acting like I had no clue that he was right there.
Why was he here?
What did he come here for?
To see how I was going to take all that he said to me? Is that the reason he was here?
He stopped the car close to the gate and at the building opposite the house, I could tell he was watching me from there, and I just had to keep pretending that I didn’t know he was there. I leaned over the railing and stayed for a minute, his car was still there.
I stared at my phone.
If he was going to call or send a text but he didn’t.
Then, why was he here?
He started to drive out just the way he came, I stared in pure dismay.
There was something about him, he wasn’t like the other Alphas that came from me, and that was what was unsettling.
That was the fact I hated so much, that I couldn’t get through to him.
I spent the whole night wondering why he came, what for? Just to watch me and leave?
Was that the reason he came?
On my way to work in the morning, I had been bothered by thoughts and barely noticed the look that I got from the workers.
The moment I got to my office, I heard them whispering around me, my name on their lips, and they didn’t hide that they were staring at me, and talking about me. I was confused.
“What’s going on?” I asked my secretary.
She stared at me and was hesitant in her movement before she approached me.
“You haven’t heard.”
“Heard what?”
“Nothing at all?”
“What’s going on, did something happen?”
“Something did happen.” She said with a lot of resistance, her voice had toned down, she glanced sideways, I was at the front door of my office, about to step in but I could see them staring at me from every corner.
“What happened?”
How come something happened, and I had no idea about it, I wanted to know, I took out my phone from the bag and turned it on, it started to beep with several messages.
She looked down at my phone, and at me. “That’s what’s happening.”
“How does that explain anything?”
“Someone came out, and said you stole from her.”
I fluttered my eyes a bit. “What?”
“That’s what she said, she had evidence, that she is the real tech designer, and you’re not the one, you stole her identity, and she brought out proof, she has the…” She sighed.
“Where did you hear that?”
“It’s everywhere, it’s crying out for justice for what you did, that she made those designs and it was never you,”
“How?”
“Who is she?”
“The lady who was here the other day, she said she came here to negotiate with you and talked to you about it but instead you turned her down, and sent her out of the office.”
My heart started to pound, messages blowing up my phone.
“Symphony.”
