“You didn’t tell me you were here,” Ethan muttered when he came down, I was seated with the kids at the table. He was dressed in a black suit, his hair gelled backwards, and his blue eyes stared at me coldly.
“You didn’t get my text or my calls either?”
“I didn’t see any messages.”
I scoffed.
“Is that so?”
“Is that why you brought her on the night of our anniversary?” I gestured my head backwards Symphony that was making its way down to us.
“We had a business meeting here, she’s leaving…” His face was held up in a frown. The kids jumped up from their seats when they saw her, they ran towards her, threw their hands around her waist.
“Mommy!”
I glared at Ethan. “Mommy?”
They had just referred to Symphony as mommy right in front of me.
“Business, does that involve her being in your bed, and you turn my kids against me!” I stood in front of him, and struck him in the face, hard.
Twice.
He held my wrist tightly the third time. “How dare you lay your filthy hands on me?”
“I gave you everything,” I stupidly thought. I could melt his cold heart towards me, carry those twins in my womb for ten months, and almost lose my life for them. I was miserable because I wanted to bear his pups.
I worked hard for the Pack, gave him my inheritance, when his pack faced a crisis, I gave him my pack too because my heart was burning in love with him.
This was all I got?
“You cheated on me!” I poke my finger on his chest, “…you hardly even make love to me and now…” I pointed a finger at my kids. “They hate me because of you!”
“The reason you sent me away was for you to have fun with your mistress for six months!”
His eyes stared daggers at me. “Because your presence disgusts me.”
I felt my eyes water at his words.
“How many times did you sleep with her while I was away? I’m sure you made love to her in our bedroom, I saw an earring that wasn’t mine, the bed reeked of s*x!”
He took a threatening step closer to me. “I don’t want to hear any more words from you.”
I watched, gut-punched as my kids were smiling at Symphony. “Will you come home with us, Mommy?”
“Come look at what I’ve drawn.”
They looked more pleased to see her than me, they didn’t have that excitement in their hands when I came.
I stormed out of the restaurant and got into a taxi. I wasn’t going to spend a night with him again.
Never.

“I’ve drafted out the divorce papers, Luna.”
I don’t want to be addressed as Luna anymore in that Pack, I was going to take back everything that I have given him, including my Pack.
He brought the divorce papers before me, and I read through them.
I had no intention of taking the kids with me, I don’t know how I was going to unpoison the thought about me in their minds.
I wondered what they thought I was to them, a temporary babysitter.
I signed the divorce papers, all I needed for us to go our separate ways was his signature.
“That’s all and you may call me Raven Winters,” I left the lawyer’s office, and I needed to stop at Ethan’s office.
I had barged into his office, and threw the papers in his face, the guards that came in backed down when Ethan raised a hand to stop them from intervening.
“Where did you spend the night?”
“I never knew you cared that much about me.”
“That’s the divorce papers.”
He adjusted his glasses and dropped the pen in his hands. He glanced at the papers and then at me. His jaw clenched tight, he adjusted in his seat.
“Sign it.”
“Over a misunderstanding?”
“A misunderstanding? Did you ever love me, Ethan?”
“All these years that I stayed with you, you couldn’t bring yourself to love me, like I was nothing by your side.” I blinked my eyes, the last thing I would do was to cry in front of him and let him know that he had crumpled me completely.
I don’t want to give him that chance to think that.
“All my effort for you to love me was nothing,” I wanted to show him that I was worthy of being loved by him, and our marriage wasn’t just because of an accidental night, and pressure from his grandfather.
“I wanted to come give you the divorce papers,” I muttered, and turned my back against him. “Make sure you sign them.”
I held the door.
I was going to walk out that door, I was walking out of his life as well, and I wouldn’t come back to him.
“You can not divorce Ethan.”
“I wanted you to be aware that I’m leaving, and I don’t think you can stop me from doing it. Grandpa.” I still had to show him some respect, it was his son that hurt me, and not him.
“I have given him the divorce papers, and I’m going to take back everything from him.”
“Raven.” His weak voice called from the other end.
“I wanted you to know in case you can't find me in the house anymore.
I hung up on the phone, I was done with them telling me what I should do and shouldn’t do.
This time I was putting myself first.
I took off my glasses and tossed them aside in the passenger seat. I had my luggage sent to me at the hotel.
I was ready to show Ethan Bankston the side of me he has never seen before.
