The bath was as short as it was relaxing, and my heart was pounding throughout as I grabbed a towl and made my way out. An attendant directed me straight towards the large dresser, and I took a seat, my eyes looking up to my reflection in the mirror. The attendant removed the towel on my hair, and another one came towards me, pulling with her a small trolley of things that looked like nail accessories. I turned slightly, examining the different colours of nail accessories spread across the mini trolley, ad I took in a deep breath. "Can I please have a minute?" An attendant behind us said, and I turned as the others let go of me. She was standing next to a large rack of clothes. The dresses spanned the entire expanse, and they were at least, fifteen of them. "Please choose one so we can know the appropriate make up and hair do to go with it." I nodded and slowly stood up, my fists clen hing hard as I walked towards it. The first was a hot pink strapless dress that fell down in large tulles to my feet. Beautiful, but when I remembered I was going to be beside possibly the most powerful man ever in the history of werewolves, I shook my head at it. The next few were different colours ranging from a red that I really wanted to wear just to spite that bastard and my sister, and a few that just didn't seem to make the cut. That was until the second to the last caught my eye. It was a regal pitch black dress with a slit that went up mid thigh, yet managed to look extremely poised and elegant. I sucked in a sharp breath as I looked up to the attendant, and she immediately smiled. "Good choice." I smiled back, and was immediately whisked back to the dresser. In less than fifteen minutes, my hair had been turned into this beautifully done messy bun with waves in it, a few strands falling down to tease my shoulders and neck. My nails were a very beautiful white that complimented the silver jewellery I had settled on, and soon after, the make up was done too. I looked up to get a glimpse of my face, and instead of joy or glee, all I felt was a deep sadness. My eyes were big, beautiful, and the makeup highlighted the green orbs. I looked like one of those high class women I had always envied, and yet.... yet.... "Let's fit the dress, ma'am." I swallowed the tears that had started to rise up my throat, and immediately stood up, letting them fit the dress around me. It had a beautiful bejewelled line of beads at the back, and the sleeves were made of sheer chantilly. The shoes were luckily, block heels, as I still don't know how to walk in stilettos or any of the thinner heels. "You look absolutely beautiful," the attendant said as I turned to the mirror. I caught the approving looks on the faces of the others, and it made me swell a bit. "We should go," I said, and the main attendant immediately followed me out, while the others stayed back, possibly to clean up. I made my way down to King Raegan's room, my chest heaving as I looked down at myself. I looked okay, but was it up to his standards? I looked okay, but was it okay enough for it to be only me? I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. I was about to knock yet again when I heard the sound of a man clearing his throat. I turned, and a suited man was standing a little distance away from me, his smile polite. "His majesty has asked me to bring you." I nodded, then followed him, the attendant still sticking by me throughout. He led us straight to a smaller room close to the banquet hall from last night, and I could hear some sort of instrumental playing from the banquet hall, and a few murmurs. He opened the door and ushered me in, and I walked into the room. My heart thumped hard in my chest at the thought of being left alone with King Raegan, but it didn't seem like I had much of a choice. I closed the door behind me and stepped in, my lips slightly parted as I caught my breath. I expected to see King Raegan sitting there, but once I turned, my heart immediately sank. Alpha Kyle and Delilah were sitting on two seats that was opposite one other, and King Raegan was nowhere to be found. I stopped walking, my eyes wide as I stood there, everything coming back to me in a flash like it had happened just yesterday. All the promises, the lies, everything. Delilah gave a small snicker. "Look who is all dressed up. Being an imposter seems to be your hobby, step sis." I blinked, then turned and started to leave the room, my heart unable to take it. "Where are you going?" I froze as I turned, my chest heaving. King Raegan was now in the room with us, his eyes thin, his hands leisurely resting behind him. "Your Majesty." He cleared his throat and took the only seat available, before turning to me. "Aren't you going to sit?" I looked around. There was no other seat in the room, apart from the three that they were occupying. "Your Majesty," I said, keeping my eyes on him and no one else. A lump had risen in my throat, and I could barely even breathe. "Come here," he said, adjusting his sitting position. He was already incredibly dominant in his seat, but once he adjusted, his legs spreading out a little, and his hand tapping on his lap, it felt like the world would bow at his feet. "Surely, A man like His Majesty would not bechon to am omega to sit on his lap, would you?" Delilah's voice was laced with hate and venom, and it only pushed me to take slow steps towards His Majesty. I got to his seat, but couldn't bring myself to lean to him. I just stood there, taking in his raven black hair, the power he exuded. With a small sigh, he wrapped his right hand around my waist, then pulled me down to his lap. I let out a small yelp, my hand immediately resting on the s.all edge between his shoulder and his neck, my eyes meeting his. He looked at me like this was real, like any of this could be real. "Your Majesty probably has very low standards, then," Delilah said again, despite Alpha Kyle's low protests. "She is nothing but an omega. You are the King of..." "I could have your potty little tongue resting in my next dish of caviar, sweetheart," King Raegan said, his eyes holding mine for a long minute before he looked down at her. "And the spineless man next to you still wouldn't be able to talk to me about standards."
