** EVA’S POV **
I was leaning my head back on to the wall behind me, my thoughts were occupied by Dan and that little phone call I got to make ‘Has been looking for me? Did he miss me? How are my kids doing? Is Dan taking care of them? Will he know where I am? Is he going to come for me?’ I felt tears rolling down my cheeks and a whimper escaped my lips as I sobbed. I heard a rustling sound near what seems to be like a window but it was more of a 1 by 1 opening that was guarded by iron bars and a thick opaque plastic sheet and I could not even get my hand to fit in the gap between the iron bars.
I stood up on the bed trying to listen and see if there was anyone out there but it was quiet, absolute silence blanketing the surroundings save for the sounds coming from the insects outside. I
