Chapter 1: The Gathering Storm
Ethan lies motionless in the hidden chamber beneath the temple, his breathing shallow. The symbols on the walls seem to pulse with an unnatural energy, and his body aches from the ritual he barely survived. He isn’t alone—Amelia is there, whispering frantically as she tries to wake him. “We don’t have much time,” she hisses. “Lucian knows you’re still alive.”
Above them, the commune is preparing for the next phase of the Eclipse prophecy. The air hums with tension, and an eerie excitement spreads among the followers. They believe the final sacrifice will grant them ascension. Ethan and Amelia know better—it’s only the beginning of something far worse.
Chapter 2: The Betrayal
Amelia leads Ethan through a secret passage, one that her brother had once told her about before he disappeared. They emerge in the dense forest, but freedom is an illusion—torches flicker in the distance, and the sound of footsteps closing in makes Ethan’s heart pound.
A figure steps out from the shadows. It’s Daniel, one of Lucian’s most trusted followers. He once seemed hesitant about the cult’s practices, but now his face is cold and resolute. “Lucian was right,” he says. “You were never meant to leave.”
Ethan and Amelia run, dodging through the trees, but the cultists know the land better. The chase is relentless, and just as they reach the outskirts of town, an unseen figure lunges from the darkness—grabbing Amelia and dragging her back into the forest. Her scream is cut short.
Chapter 3: Desperation
Ethan stumbles into town, his mind reeling. He bangs on the sheriff’s door, but the response is chilling. The sheriff, eyes vacant, simply says, “Go home, son. There’s nothing you can do.”
The entire town is in on it. The cult’s influence runs deeper than he imagined.
With no one left to trust, Ethan realizes he has one option—expose the Children of the Eclipse to the outside world. He heads to the motel to retrieve his notes, his recordings, anything that could prove the truth. But when he arrives, his room is ransacked. Every shred of evidence is gone.
A single note is left on his bed, written in an unfamiliar yet hauntingly familiar hand: “The Eclipse is eternal. So is your fate.”
Chapter 4: Into the Abyss
Ethan refuses to give up. He remembers an old radio station on the outskirts of town, abandoned but still functional. If he can broadcast the truth, someone will hear him. Someone has to.
As he makes his way there, the moon rises, casting an unnatural glow over the town. The Eclipse is near. The final ritual is about to begin. And Ethan is running out of time.
