Chapter 27
XII. Saturday March 5th 1836, Ryland wakes up to a horse l*****g his face. It is daylight and Ryland on his back and without his armor. He tries to reactivate it but a sharp pain in his neck prevents him from doing so. Ryland reaches for his neck and find a device lodged in his cybernetic implants. He has no idea how to remove it, but it’s not going anywhere. He tries to remove it but this causes more pain. He struggles with it until the pain is unbearable then says, “I am going to need help with this.” Ryland reaches for his Temporal Gauntlet only to find only his bare-wrist, “Where is it?” He ponders aloud then looks around wondering what day it is and where everyone is. Ryland finds his dagger and spear on the ground and hides the dagger in his pocket and sneaks into the ch
