Memories are forever

Penelope Lindhurst was a successful nurse back in the day ... things were looking up she had a boyfriend who loved her and a boss who thought she was the best thing since sliced bread ... whatever happened to that girl, even Penelope couldn't work that one out ... Now here she was on the other side of the world, suitcase in hand and looking bleakly at the cafe with the help wanted sign stuck in the window ...  Please tell me that this isn't what I've ended up as, she sighed and looked heavenward hoping some for some divine intervention, but this time she didn't get an answer or even and indication as to where she should really be, there was just the silence .. always the silence when she least needed it !! Penelope shouldered her way through the door dragging the suitcase behind her and approached the serving counter - Hi can I help you - A young girl around her own age greeted her, and actually looked pleased to see her - shaking her head to clear the fog that was threatening to take over her mind Penelope smiled and said - "oh yes please I'm here to apply for the job Oh great, I'm Candy ... not been here long myself actually, hang on will call the boss to come see you .. with that Candy strutted out the door behind her and came back in a couple of minutes with a large bearded man who looked like he just stepped out of a mad max movie .. Hi, I'm Max, Cindy here tells me you're looking for a job ?? Ah yes, sorry i'm Jill and would like to fill that job request please - Penelope did not want this man to know of her real name, especially as someone may be coming to find her and more importantly kill her !!!
