Gyiah’s POV
My excitement was overwhelming. At long last, I found the right house. I took the day off just to meet William.
It’s been three days since I arrived in NAIA and the first thing I did was to contact my father. William’s father was one of my father’s closest friends and as far as I knew, Mr. Tan owned a pretty decent number of shares which gave him a seat in every board meetings. The Tan’s were one of the owners of their bank.
I remembered back in my younger years, me and William attended the same parties. There’s even this one time wherein both of our mothers hosted a charity event.
We used to hang out together, me, William and his siblings. But now, only our elders maintained the closeness. We grew apart and aside from the fact my relationship with him didn’t end so well.
His insecurity got in the way.
He made a big fuss about me calling him a certain nickname. I was surprised that he ditched me. Every time I recalled that night, I felt humiliated.
Imagine a guy wearing a shrinking suit refused to listen and left me unescorted on the night of her graduation ball.
“William!” I shouted while I chased after him.
When I heard his corny speech of breaking up with me over the intercom, I immediately flew down the stairs. I didn’t bother to wear footwear. I ran after him barefooted.
“William! Stop! My gown will be ruined.” I whined.
He listened to my plea, he stopped and faced me.
“What do you want me to do then, your majesty?” William said in a very annoying and sarcastic way.
I placed both of my hands on my waist.
“What are you saying that we’re through? Don’t tell me you’re breaking up with me?”
“Oh I forgot!” William smacked his head. “I should have said it in English. Her royal highness has a difficulty understanding our local language. Lucas, could you please interpret the things I said to her just now.”
“Stop the mockery. I perfectly understood what you’ve said. I won’t be chasing you if I don’t.” My eyes widened. “What did you just said? Lucas was here? Where?”
I panicked. A couple of rollers were still on my hair. I couldn’t be seen by Lucas in this state of unpreparedness.
“Lucas is with me. You didn’t notice? He’s there standing at your back.”
I stood straight, put my hands down and became tense. I hated William more. If only he didn’t have any qualms about what I said, I’d still be upstairs.
The stylist was not yet done with my hair.
“What happened?” William continued to annoy me. “Lost your tongue? Don’t tell me you were star struck too just like your nanny?”
“Lucas, could you please leave us alone.” I asked nicely.
“Hintayin na lang kita sa kotse Will.” Lucas said to William.
He walked from my left side and when I was passed by him, I smelled his manly scent. I closed her eyes to suppress the excitement of being that close to him. What more if later he’d ask me to have a dance with him?
Could I bear the ‘kilig’?
“Hei, wake up!” William interrupted my thoughts.
I placed my hands back on my waist. “Why are you ruining my night? You knew how much I wanted to attend this ball.”
He didn’t say any word. He just stood there with his protruding tummy.
“Okay, I know you are mad. I’m sorry.” I sincerely apologized. “I’m selfish, I just think of myself. I should have bought you a new suit as well. That thing looked ridiculous on you.”
I saw his face reddened and when he stepped forward, I got scared. I wanted to run but it was too late. He grabbed both of my arms.
“Ouch, William. You’re hurting me.” I protested.
“I, I, I! I’m so tired of hearing those words from you.” William said angrily.
It felt like I am being held by a different person. He’s no longer the gentle, quiet bear I knew. There’s hatred on his eyes.
“Bakit hindi ko napansin kung gaano kasama ang ugali mo?”
“Let go of me!” I tried to free myself, but he was taller and way, way bigger than me. “You have no right to insult me, you’re the one who courted me and instead of being angry, you should be thankful I even entertained you. I actually said ‘Yes’ to you, you ungrateful pig!”
While I am saying those hurtful words, I was looking at his eyes. So imagine my shocked, when I could no longer saw anything.
His face was so closed to mine and his lips were hurting me. Indeed this guy in front of him was taking advantage of my lips. He was kissing me hurtfully.
William was kissing me?
I wanted to cry.
How could he!
I tried to push him away but his strong big left hand pulled my waist and I was imprisoned in his arms. I also tried to move my faced away but his other hand held my face. He kissed me for eternity and I felt he had no plan of letting my lips go.
I stopped squirming and endured the agony of being close to him.
When he sensed I no longer resisted, he changed his way of kissing. He sucked my lower lip in a most tingling way. His tongue helped in the process of sucking the sweetness off my lower lips.
I opened my mouth voluntarily.
He took advantage of it and his tongue entered my mouth, more unexpected things happened. I was thrilled by the way he teased my tongue, I tilted my head to give him more access to my lips and I put my hands behind his head, pulling him closer.
I lost my sanity.
I tried to mimic the way his lips was moving and I followed his tongue back to his mouth. As if mine found a new playmate I didn’t want to let go, yet.
But the playtime ended.
He stopped kissing me and slowly he moved away. I opened her eyes and saw the triumphant look on his face. I swallowed hard to prepare myself from his words of humiliation.
Unexpectedly, he just walked away, leaving me with an open mouth.
“William!” I called him. “Where are you going? Don’t leave me. You just kiss me you pig!” I saw him going to his car. “You’re my first kiss you moron! Be grateful and bring me to the ball!”
He didn’t stop and he rode his car. Soon enough, his car was gone.
And so was he.
I cried for two days and a night while cursing him non-stop. I hated him so much for so many things. So much I couldn’t bear to see his face again so I decided to continue my graduate studies abroad.
When I saw him again, all the hatred I felt for him resurfaced. I would make him drool over me and kiss my feet. Then this time I’ll be the one who would do the ditching.
After I looked at my reflection on the rear mirror, I got off my car. I could almost see him weep like a baby. I walked to the gate and pressed the doorbell. While waiting, I secretly giggled and whispered.
“Tabaching-ching I’m coming!”
