Dear Kayden, I know you're probably wondering why I have been avoiding you recently, well it's because I kept a secret. Yes, we agreed not to keep secrets from each other but this particular secret will ruin our friendship if I ever tell you. Do you remember that time we went to visit your Nan for the summer back in seventh grade. Do you remember the promise we made to each other at the old tree house? Well I broke that promise and I am extremely sorry. I swear I didn't plan for it to happen, it just did and now everything's a mess. I am so sorry Kay. I went and ruined things for us even though I promised that I wouldn't. I know you're never going to read this letter because I don't plan on you ever seeing it but I just want you to know that I never meant for this to happen.
