As time went by, little Alison grew older and more beautiful. At one and a half years old, she took her first steps. That was when the Alpha and Luna realized that the baby was limping. Alpha Joshua mind-linked Tina, the pack's doctor, to ask her to visit the packhouse and check on Alison.
After a thorough examination, Tina said, "the baby is fine. I can think of the only reason that very complicated labour has caused the baby's limping situation. We need to wait and see the outcome shortly."
Alpha Joshua picked Alison up, and she gave him a big hug, smiling and babbling at him. "No matter what, you are still our precious gift given to us by our Moon Goddess," said the Luna as she stepped near them and gave them a warm hug. Alison looked at her mother's face and smiled happily. She then raised her little hands for Luna Alison to take her in her arms. Alpha Joshua did not want to give her up, so he held her, not giving her to his mate.
A knock on the door announced Beta Justin's arrival. " What's up, little monkey?" he said to Alison, and she smiled sweetly at him, still lying in Alpha's arms.
She was an adorable and obedient little girl, and everyone in the Yellow Moon pack loved her. She was one of the luckiest orphans ever. She was treated fairly by the rest of the children and loved dearly by all the grown-ups. Her future in the Yellow Moon pack would be bright and happy. She was the Alpha's adopted child, which meant the pack members respected and loved her like they respected and loved their Alpha and Luna.
Beta Justin was Tina's mate, and they had a boy pup named Don. He was a year older than Alison and treated her like his younger sister. Since Beta's family was very close to Alpha and Luna's family, the children's encounters were frequent, and they learned to love and support each other.
They all hoped Don would be Alison's mate in the future. They wanted her to find a mate that would love her the way they did and protect her with his life if needed.
