Previously on Awakening Drew

After dinner, I told them about what happened at school and mom told him how I was in pain and it broke me to see my parents angry, sad and heartbroken. I went and hugged them and told them what Lene and Selene told me about how they already knew that this would happen.

Mayllyn’s pov

" So dad, who is coming because Selene and Lene are going crazy in my head and I have this headache.” I tell my parents and they are looking at me with worried eyes. " Hey baby girl, come down please. The guest is called Damien and we have to protect and train him. We will have to keep him a secret for a while and you, my May, will help him with cloaking his scent and aura."

Dad says and we look at him like he lost it, but I got lost at Damien and Selene is purring at the name, but I just ignore her. I suddenly got excited.

There is a bang on the door and it gets louder. Dad runs to the door and a boy falls in front of him. The last word I had from him was 'help me' . Mom and dad help the boy to the couch and lay him there.

He is so thin and he looks so familiar, what had me push my dad was his scent "MATE". Selene and Lene shouted. I gasp, this can't be. Another mate but he is so thin. My goddess, what did he go through? I am lost in his body and his long black silky hair. He is handsome.

"Okay, I have masked his scent and aura. Oh and the walls are up, now we can talk." Dad says, and I turn to him, " He is my mate, my second chance at happiness, but what happened to him? Who is he father!" Dad sighs and says " he is the crown prince Damien Drew Walker and I have been expecting him since the last guardian called to say he failed to protect him."

We are shocked at the revelation and I am angry at the so-called guardian. I want to reap their throats out. " Who was his guardian?" I asked, Selene taking over, we want blood. " Hades took care of him so don't worry the goddess is with Damien here." Dad says smiling and is that a tear I see!

Mom finally spoke up, " by the goddess he is alive. That night I ran with him. The moon goddess told me to leave him at their boarder. Why would she tell me to put the prince in danger?" " What are you talking about love?" Dad asks mom. She looks back at her mate and starts to cry. Dad just holds her, rubbing his thumbs on her back.

After a while, mom tells us how she was hired by the late queen to help protect the prince and she took the job. She wasn't sure where to take him but the moon goddess appeared to her and showed her the way. She gave specific orders and mom followed them to the latter. She never told anyone because the goddess promised her that they would meet again when he was all grown up and a guardian and her were supposed to protect and train him.

" He is the next Alpha King of all kings after the dragon's alpha king steps down." Dad says, and we all let the information sink in. We have to protect him, " and we can't tell the king until the goddess tells us to." Dad says and we all nod and we promised to keep dad's secret about him being a guardian. He had to tell us because we are all connected to Damien in one way or the other.

Drew's pov

We have been running for hours. I don't know where to go, but apparently Apollo is leading the way. I trust him with my life. I met with a group of rogue vampires and some rogue werewolves. They didn't attack, they just bowed and let me pass.

This made me run faster to wherever I was going. I reached a pack boarder and crossed it without hesitation. The guards were not pleased with my boldness. I could hear them chasing after me and then they passed me, still chasing after nothing. I stood there shocked," What just happened, Apollo?"

He didn't answer me, he just took over and ran towards the woods and straight into someone's compound. It was like he knew where to go, so we banged the door. A man came to open and Apollo let me take over. Help me was the last thing I said to him before exhaustion took over .

I woke up in a really soft bed and that amazing scent of jasmine and pine. Apollo seemed happy he was chanting something, but I wasn't paying attention. I was so hooked on that scent.

I had to see where the smell came from, so I opened my eyes, gradually adjusting to the bright lights. I was in a room larger than the one I had back in Wollet's pack. It was all grey, the furniture plus the linen.

Then I saw her, sitting on one of the love seats. She was beautiful. It's like the goddess took her time with this one, her green orbs staring deep in my soul searching for something. I couldn't figure out the look she was giving me.

She had waist-length silver hair, a perfect body with curves in all the right places. By the goddess! Give me strength, the sweet scent is coming from her. But can it be, two mates on the same day?

I cleared my throat to gain her attention. It's like she is lost in her own world. Well I hope I am there with her. " Uuum......ah where exactly is this place?" I asked her, rubbing the back of my neck, not sure what to ask her, for goddess sake she is my mate! I am overwhelmed and strong emotions are all over the place.

" Hey I.... I'm Mayllyn and this is my house, I mean I.....I kinda live with my parents. I am an only child, so don't feel like you are a burden and you......you are my mate after all, so you staying here is okay, I won't mind." She rambles on and I smile at her trying as much to show how much I appreciate.

" It's okay, I will stay as long as your parents agree. Maybe I can help with the house chores to earn my stay for a while before I move out and get a place of my own." I saw disappointment, hurt and fear in her eyes. Why is she hurting?

" Our mate is hurting because she thinks we will reject her." Apollo says, whimpering. I can't reject such a goddess. I bet she is amazing on the inside too. I looked in her eyes and said, " Love, I do not plan on rejecting you. You are my second chance at happiness. I can't and won't throw it away, not even for the world."

I see relief wash over her and I am glad she's happy. Apollo is howling with joy in my head, loving the feeling we brought to our mate.

Our silent bonding is interrupted by her parents, I assume, because they look like my mate. My body tenses when I feel their auras, they are powerful and something else mixed into it.

" We're glad you are awake, you made us so worried, and especially my little May. She hasn't left your side for two days, she won't let any of us near you." The man I assume is my mate's dad says with a smile on his face.

" I'm Mayllyn's mom Llinet and this is my loving mate Drago, welcome to the family. I know you have questions and we will answer all of them, but know that you are safe with us and we will take care of you until you are of age." She says, giving a sweet smile. I just nodded for luck of words but I said a thankful prayer to the goddess for leading Apollo and me here.

So I brace myself for everything they've got and after hours of me asking questions and them answering where they can. To say I was shocked by all the revelations is an understatement, I was beyond almost going into a panic attack. My mate held my hand at some point, but it didn't work so she kissed me!

She freaking KISSED me! To calm down, my erratic breathing was necessary. After a few minutes, I calmed down but Apollo was livid he wanted blood for being separated from his mother and for the person that murdered her.

"You have to calm your wolf down. You can't shift now. It's too early, talk to him or he will kill you during a forced shifting process. Please calm down son." Drago said, looking worried. I looked at him with admiration, did he just call me son!

Wow! That made Apollo calm down a bit and I subconsciously dipped my head in my mate's neck and sniffed her scent and it automatically calmed Apollo. Yes! He was so drunk on her scent and fell asleep and I saw everyone calm down.

"Thank you so much for helping me. I will forever be in your debt, especially for raising such an amazing daughter. I am so happy you are mine." I say, looking at May and holding her hands tightly. " Finally, NEW BEGINNINGS!" My beautiful mate says with a smile on her angelic face.
