HAZEL'S POV I paced my warm, luxurious office in our company's headquarters.My hair in a ponytail, I wore a blue business suit while my blue heels against the marble floor resonated in the silent room. I felt so proud of myself for signing this contract with one of the most difficult men in the world.My hard work had paid off,that made my day. I glanced at my watch again and released a shaky breath. Where was my sister Laurel?I couldn't wait to tell her the good news and let her know our hard work had paid off. Finally,sitting down at my working desk,I focused on my computer's screen, trying to work before my sister's arrival. I was cut short as laurel barged into the office in a blue business suit, her black high heels against the floor echoing into the room with her blonde hair floating. My name is Hazel Danielson; daughter of Harry and Haisley Danielson.I have a twin laurel Danielson. As the only heirs to our family's Empire, Laurel and I were trained from the moment we turned fifteen to take over dad's company as CSO and CEO respectively. We both finished high school last year and used this year to learn more about business. In a few weeks' time, I was going to be taking over dad's company “the Danielson tech"as CEO. “Oh my God! Hazel, you made it.I am so proud of your love."she beamed, hugging me. “Thanks lore.We made it laurel, not just me"I murmured, softly hugging her back. Laurel and I are identical twins but she had mom's blonde hair while I had dad's brown hair, then we both had dad's green eyes. “Do you know how proud of you we are?Dad just heard the news and he will be coming as soon as he lands"she continued with a large smile. OK, so Laurel was the talkative and I was the serious one (don't get me wrong, I am not that calm and could be a pain in the ass when needed), but that was just our differences and it didn't stop us from being best friends and loving each other. “I even forgot he had travelled lore.Come let's sit.So why did he not call me?"I was proud of myself, believe me, and I felt like bursting with joy, but I just did not know how to express my happiness about landing that contract. Smiling faintly,I sat at my working desk. She sat opposite me while I saved the file infront of me.Then I glared at her : “So when are we celebrating our victory?By the way, Axel called me since he couldn't reach you"she said, frowning. “I had a meeting with Laurel and he knows that.So why was he calling?If I remember well,I called him yesterday and we talked for a while." “But you know that being in a relationship is more than just calls haze.You could take a break,go out to have fun.Why not do that?" I lifted a brow when hearing the new nickname. “From where is the new nickname?"I asked, puzzled. “oh!haze?"she giggled before answering “I heard it from Axel and believe me sis,it's lovely" Axel Jayden was my best friend from kindergarten.We did everything together. When I turned seventeen, he finally had the courage to ask me out and I accepted. Dad, who has always been protective of us, shocked me when he welcomed Axel into the family and approved of him as a boyfriend. As my boyfriend, he always complained about how hard I worked or that I was still too young to become CEO. But with time,he realized he had to get used to that, since I wanted to make dad proud and to do that, I had to work hard. I loved my work ,no one was going to stop me from reaching my goals. “I will call him later and to answer your question, we will be going out for a horse race this weekend."I answered shortly. We both loved horse racing and, since we had a stable few meters from our villa,I planned to have fun then observe nature this weekend before taking over the company. “Are you serious?You will be free this weekend?" “Yeah.I will be submitting my assignment on Friday night since I have less work at the company on that day.I will leave early to study at home, then on Saturday,I'll be free to go out." She smiled, her eyes sparkling. “Glory be to the lord,I will finally spend some time with you.I still have an assignment to finish tonight.Since I have less work at the company today,I'll be leaving early to go do it." When we were asked to take over the company after high school, Laurel and I thought our level of education was low. We decided to have our degrees online since we were both busy at the company. Both of us had stable jobs and we were supposed to be grateful, but as dad usually said,“we were trained to be the best", so we refused to settle for average. I decided to study business as Laurel studied computer engineering. “So....what news do you have for the company?"I asked her. “Nothing serious for now.But I need to change the cameras, then tighten security. One never knows,"she answered seriously. As the CSO of the company, she was in charge of everything related to security. “OK.Do not bother about Axel,I'll call him later when I am free.I still have a lot of work to do for now." “I'll get going then, hun.See you later."she blew me a kiss then walked to the door, her exquisite perfume lingering behind. Focusing on my work, I forgot about time. Before I realized it,it was 8pm and places were all dark. Where was my secretary?I called her desk and got no answer.She must have left, but why not warn me?Standing up, I carefully classified the files on my desk, then put off the computer. Carrying my handbag, I turned to leave. I was stopped on my track by a fresh Axel standing in a grey suit with his hands deep in his pockets.He smiled when our eyes met: “My lady, are you going somewhere?Permit me to be your guardian angel for tonight." I frowned“how did he enter so easily?and why did I not hear him come in?" “How did you enter? You coming to meet me at the office this way is creepy and one day I may really hurt you.By the way, I told Laurel I was going to call,so why are you here?" His smile faded. “Sorry, Hazel.I can't explain why I am good at tip-toeing, but I will try not to frighten you next time. I thought coming to take you home was better and we could talk at home.Since when can the mighty Hazel be frightened?"he asked, smirking. His shiny black hair and his sparkling blue eyes were shining. Ignoring him, I turned for the door.He followed me closely in silence, my heels now echoing into the silent, desert hallway. “I am sorry, Haze.Please forgive me.Do not ignore me because I am your only boyfriend", he pouted.My heart melted seeing how cute he was. “Reason why I should cook and eat you!"I shot back. He paled and just like that my anger vanished.Seeing his pale face made me smile,too tired to continue teasing him, I held out my hand to him. He was the only person who could make me smile even during hardships and that made him special in my life. Smiling back,he took my hand and we left the company in his new Tesla. We drove in silence, the beautiful scenery of the night through the window helped me relax as we made our way through the busy town to reach home. DANIEL'S POV I stood there, hands in my grey pants pockets as a gentle breeze passed through my brown hair. Tomorrow was my 19th birthday.The idea made me crazy as I thought of the attention I'd be receiving for a whole afternoon. Tired of remaining indoors, I went out to release my wolf for a while. Stripping off my clothes, I allowed myself to gradually shift.As my senses heightened,the cracking of bones began, then I shifted into a huge white wolf. Now standing on fours,my gaze swept around taking in my environment.I carefully took a step forward, admiring the beauty of Autumn as the dry leaves under my paws made a crushing sound. I was about to take off for hunting as usual when scents of were tigers invaded the air, putting me on alert. I had little time to think before three of them jumped in front of me, halting me,clearly ready to fight with me on my territory. Anger raised in me , I felt outrage at this display of defiance. My name is Daniel Anderson Lupe.My parents, Denzel and Aella Anderson Lupe, are alpha and luna to the “Golden eagle pack". I have four siblings: Declan,heaven and Neveh, the twins, then finally Cruz. Just like my siblings, I was trained to become Alpha from a young age and, in the end, one of us will become alpha as chosen by the goddess Luna. I became an army general at 17 and won numerous wars, making me my pack's pride, but deep inside me I still feel lonely and restless. Sometimes not even theirs mattered. The battlefield changed me and brought out the darker side of me.With time, I started enjoying being a warrior and killing shape-shifters. These strangers had asked for death on my territory and I was going to give it to them, painfully. One of the three shape shifters landed on me,his claws digging into my back. We rolled together and I stood first. Having the upper hand,I aimed for his unprotected stomach.Using my claws, I penetrated his belly, exposing his intestine. To finish, I destroyed his ribs.His struggling hands slowly stilled as life left him. Turning to the others, I smelled their fear in the air.They slowly tilted their heads down to indicate they were submitting to me. I smirked internally. Even though all shape shifters were in conflict, it was a law respected by all except me. I never respected that law.Every time I enter a battlefield,only one person must leave alive at the end. Understanding I wasn't going to spare their lives, they opted for running away to save their lives.Not giving them enough time,I halted them, then killed each of them by snapping their throats, leaving jets of blood oozing out rapidly. Feeling satisfied with my work,I turned away from them. Running around the forest for a while, I calmed my beast, with whom I couldn't talk.Contrary to other werewolves who spoke to their wolf as soon as they shifted,mine remained silent, no one could explain why.Not even the pack's strongest witch. Communication between us was still not possible, causing a regular fight for dominance just like now. I felt his reluctance to allow me to take control,but it was time to go home.After a moment of exerting dominance, I finally won the silent battle. Walking to where my clothes were lying on the floor,I shifted slowly,there I stood naked with my brown hair tousled. Rapidly wearing my dirty clothes, I headed for the pack house feeling less restless and frustrated than before.
