Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Scar town is in great jubilation when their new pack leader is announced, the whole people of Scar town have known Jason to be a great, humble, and handsome warrior.
So, this didn't come as a surprise, they needed someone like him to lead and fight for them, he is bold and intelligent enough.
"So proud of you son," Grace pulled Jason into a hug. Jason smiled embracing his mother tightly.
"I'm always happy when you're proud of me," he teased his mother, releasing from the hug.
Jason glared at his sister, remembering how they managed to escape from the town of Craine.
"That was an incredibly insane thing to do," he scoffs.
"Whatever Jason. You're the leader of pack Foon now, we're going to go back and fight them," Wine sighed, walking into the house, Jason follows her.
"Who do you think was that guy?" He asked, sitting down on the chair across from his sister who was seated on her bed.
She lay down facing up with her head facing the old-fashioned ceiling.
"I don't know. But whoever he is he doesn't want us dead," she explained with a glance at Jason who is combing his hair with his fingers with a thoughtful expression like his sister Wine.
"I'll go talk to Colleen," he announced before leaving the room without sparing his sister another glance.
Nicholas groans in anger, how the two strangers escaped their town is still a mystery to him.
He reached the secret entrance after he received information that the strangers have been held hostage, when he got there and didn't find them, he makes him feel uneasy.
"How did these people escape?" He asked his second in command, Peterson.
"They were harmless Nich. They didn't escape, I let them go," Peterson explained, beholding Nicholas's face. He knows better than anyone how to handle him when he's in such a mood.
Nicholas is a very curious person, he doesn't believe things easily, if Peterson is serious in convincing him then he must put in all his best to appear as innocent and convincing as ever.
"Which town are they from?" Nicholas asked, looking at Peterson's face suspiciously. Standing up from his chair, he makes a slow move to where Peterson stood, he lowers his head and whispers into his ears.
"If this is your doing, I swear Peter..."
"Don't Nich! Let's focus on Scar town for now, you know we have an important mission there. This topic is nothing to waste our energy on," He answered with a fake smile, showing his upper jaw.
Nicholas is calm after Peterson's reminder, he smirks before walking away. He is not sure while the two strangers he saw in the market are in his thoughts but like always, his instincts never lie.
Making his way down the left turn of the hallway down to the sitting room, he walks with his head held high.
Down in the sitting room is Mr. Brooks sitting in his favorite part of the sitting room with a newspaper in his hand, he has a pair of glasses covering his eyes.
Ana Brooks walks into the dining arena from the kitchen with a plate of food in her hands. She smiles when she spots Nicholas.
Nicholas walked over to the dining arena and gave his stepmother a peck on both cheeks.
"You look so handsome today. What's special?" She asked with a smile, dropping the plates in her hands and arranging them properly.
"Nothing Mum, just annoyed at something trivia and also very excited about some plans," he explained.
"What are the plans?" Graham Brooks, Nicholas's father questioned from his seat, diverting Nicholas and Ana's attention to him.
"Dinner is ready, why don't you come over let's discuss it here?" Ana beckons.
At the dining table sat Graham, Ana beside him, Nicholas at the other end of the table while Albert sat opposite Nicholas.
"I'm so glad to hear about this son. Finally, you're about to fulfill my dreams. I'm proud of you," Graham Brooks spoke with pride as he smiles at Nicholas who is also smiling hard at his father's words.
"I will send Peterson and some other members of the pack to town Scar, they will incite the war and return successfully," Nicholas added.
"Why don't you go there?" Albert interject, glaring at Nicholas.
"Everything is planned out dear brother, it's not a war yet," Nicholas responded with a chuckle.
"Why don't you ever learn from your elder brother, Albert?" Graham questioned in disdain.
Albert spits the food out of his mouth and cleans his mouth before standing up from his chair.
"I can't continue doing this," he hit the table with his fist before walking away from them.
"I didn't mean to do that," Graham apologize, looking at Ana who is up and running after Albert.
Jason woke up with a loud tap and screams from the outside, he yarned before opening his eyes to behold the person in his room.
"They have double-crossed us. We need to act fast!" Colleen announced, giving Jason no room to process his current environment.
"Who and what's going on?" Jason inquired standing up from his bed.
"The devil himself, Jason!" Colleen snarled pacing the room.
"Calm down and tell me exactly what's going on out there," Jason rushed to Colleen with his hands on his shoulder.
The room burst open revealing Wine who is equally in confusion as she rushed to his brother and Colleen whose attention is on her.
"It's quite a mess outside there Jay," she cried out, running to her brother's arms. Jason held her tightly as she sobs gently on his shoulder.
"It's going to be okay Wine. We are werewolves, we are pack Foons, we're Scar town, we're going to fight our enemies without backing down," Jason assured holding his sister's hand as she nods in agreement.
"Colleen, go get the pack ready. Inform everyone that we're going to fight back," Jason commanded and Colleen obeys before rushing out of the room.
"Follow me Wine!"
Wine runs behind Jason as they both make their way into the town. She heard loud and disturbing voices, she couldn't hold it any longer, the last thing she heard before passing out is a cry of a young wolf boy whose mother has been killed by the attack.
"Wine. e.e.e..." Jason cried out with his sister in his arms.
