Chapter 9

Chapter 09 | ST

He stared at me with his menacing eyes that could penetrate my soul. He stood up and he slowly walked towards my direction until I felt the cold wall behind my back. He enclosed me between his arms as he brought his lips to my earshell. I felt my heart was hammering beneath my chest.

"I'm okay, Kyla," he whispered. His hot breath fanned against my neck and it sent shivers down to my spine. "Are you worried about me?"

I slowly nodded my head. "Of course, I am your niece and it is alarming."

"I like to put some art on my wrist, okay?"

"What art?! It is not called art, Tito Cadence!"

"For me, I call it an art and it makes me feel good at the same time."

I cannot believe that he calls it an art! He is suicidal and I was shocked to even utter any words for him. At the same time, I felt disappointed in myself that I should've noticed it soon so I could help him too. He was always there to help me and makes me smile whenever I'm sad, pero mas kailangan niya 'yung help kaysa sa akin. May pinagdadaanan siya at alam ko naman 'yun kasi nararamdaman ko pero hindi siya pala kwento.

I pursed my lips but I tiptoed to pull him for a tight hug. I felt his whole body still when I gave him a hug. I just want him to know that I'm always here for him. And I care for him so much.

"I'm here for you, Tito Cadence. I always care for you," I muttered.

"I love you..."

I shut my eyes. "I love you too, Tito Cadence."

He exhaled sharply and broke our embrace. Hinawakan niya 'yung kamay ko at umupo kaming dalawa sa gilid ng higaan ko. Hindi ko matanggal ang tingin ko sa palapulsuhan niya dahil naawa ako.

"Will you please stop calling me Tito?" he said, softly. "I don't want you to call me Tito anymore. Please?"

"S-Sure. Ayaw mo pala na tinatawag ka no'n?" I replied. I bit my bottom lips when I realized that Kuya Kyle doesn't even call him Tito. "I'm sorry, Cadence."

The way I utter his name gives a sensation that rolls over to my tongue that makes him grin beside me. His hand slowly took my hand as he began to intertwine it. Until my heart began to beat every second as I felt his rough palm against mine.

"It feels so good to be with you. I feel like I'm home..."

My lips curved up. "Likewise. I feel home with you, Cadence."

Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa at naririnig ko 'yung pagtambol ng puso ko nung nagtama ang tingin namin. Damn, why do I feel this way towards him? Yes, I had a crush on him before but I realized that he is my uncle. He is my father's little brother. Why would I have a crush on my uncle?

Kapagkuwan ay napagdesisyon namin kumain na ng dinner sa resort na ito. He paid for our reservation. We are going to beachfront cottages and we're walking on the stepping stone. The salty air blew my hair as our skin grazed with each other.

"I still love the nature of the Philippines. I miss home," he began. Naglalakad na kami papunta sa cottage na nireserve niya for the both of us. "How about you? You never went home for 2 years."

"I am freaking homesick," I snickered.

The moment we entered a cottage that was full of woods and plants. It is so refreshing to watch the waves hit on the seashore. We both sat on the rattan beach chair and the wooden round table that had a scented candle and a vase of flowers. I was playing with my hair as I watched him playing with his thin lips.

"Most of the food I ordered is what you like," he started. He brushed his disheveled hair that almost covered his right eye. His defined jaw was clenching as he darted his menacing eyes on me. "Masaya ako na magkasama tayo kumain ng dinner."

I chortled. "I am happy to eat with you for dinner."

Until the waiter approached with food. Nilalagay na nila 'yung seafood platter sa table namin. I really love salmon and crabs while Cadence likes to eat shrimps and lobster. We were happy as we ate our food.

The sea was very calm as the sky painted with dark blue and dotted white on the sky. I think I almost eat everything on the plate. He was smirking when he figured out that I ate everything. I think I'm really hungry.

"Kamusta kayo ni Zora?" I asked.

"It's fine," he replied. He seemed bored about my question. "Why did you ask?"

"I don't know. I just want to know what's the score between you and Zora."

"Just a friend."

I arched my eyebrow. "Weh? Hindi mo siya nililigawan?"

"I will court the woman I love, is she my love? Apparently, no."

Matagal ako napatitig sa kaniya at napapaisip kung sino ba 'yung taong mahal niya. Honestly, wala talaga siya binabanggit sa akin kung sino 'yung babae na mahal niya. Siguro si Kuya Kyle ay kilala niya pero ako hindi. Wala ako maisip kung sino kasi alam kong may mga babae siyang dinedate.

Pagkatapos namin kumain ay pumunta kami sa buhangin para magpahangin at panoorin 'yung dagat. Hinahangin 'yung buhok ko at magkatabi kami ni Tito Cadence ngayon. Wala ni isa sa amin na nagsasalita pero pinapakinggan namin 'yung mahinang alon na tumatama sa buhangin.

"I was wondering how the moon handles being alone at midnight?"

I stared at the full moon. It was very beautiful. I just love how the moon is sometimes full or not. Even though many stars are surrounding the moon, it still shines alone.

"The moon is not alone, she was just waiting for the sun."

"I know that story. Sol dies everyday just to let her rise from the night."

I smiled. I hope my Sol would sacrifice himself for me if he really loves me at all. I don't want him to die but I want a man to die for me. We both stared at the luminous moon that shines above us. Hinilig ko 'yung ulo ko sa braso niya.

Kinabukasan ay nagising ako na nasa kama na ako. Naramdaman ko 'yung mabigat na nakapatong sa tiyan ko. Nang marealize ko na si Cadence lang pala 'yun na mahimbing na natutulog.

I felt him move a little bit. His hair was very messy. Tapos ang tangos talaga ng ilong niya at gusto ko hawakan 'yun pero baka magising si Cadence sa gagawin ko. Akmang tatayo na sana ako na maramdaman ko na humigpit 'yung hawak sa akin ni Cadence.

"Stay there..." he said, hoarsely.

"It's 11:30 in the morning," I replied.

He groaned. "Let me hug my little brat, please?"

Kinagat ko 'yung ibabang labi ko para pigilan ko hindi mapangiti sa kaniyang sinasabi. Sometimes he is very sweet and clingy to me. Tiningnan ko 'yung schedule ko ngayon ay kailangan ko samahan si Miss La Farell at Mrs. Hamilton for another meeting. Hanggang sa napaisip ako na parehas ng apelyido si Cadence at si Mrs. Hamilton.

I shrugged my shoulders. Hinayaan ko lang na yakapin ako ni Cadence sa kama at tiningnan ko 'yung phone ko. Bj flooded me with his messages again. Nakaramdam na naman ako ng inis na mabasa ko 'yung mensahe niya.

Sorry, babe. I really forgot to update you. I was very busy. Can I call?

Where are you exactly?

I saw your IG post. Kasama mo ba si Zora?

I'm really sorry, babe. Can you forgive me? :)

I huffed. Napatingin ako kay Cadence na payapang natutulog. Nakaunan siya sa tiyan ko habang yakap-yakap niya ako ng mahigpit. I put my hand on his disheveled hair and I begin to finger-combed it. I just hope that he is feeling okay by my side. I really want to know why he is cutting himself?

Ilang minuto na lumipas ay bumangon na kaming dalawa ni Cadence. Nauna na ako maligo at mag-ayos para kitain sina Miss La Farell mamaya. Nakaupo lang ako sa vanity chair habang naglalagay ako ng lipgloss.

"Do you want to eat?" Cadence offered.

I shook my head. "Baka kumain kami ng lunch."

"But... I've prepared you a sandwich."

I couldn't help but not smile when he showed me a plate of sandwich. Hanggang sa ininyayahan niya ako kumain ng kasama siya. Para alam niya na nandito lang ako sa tabi niya at hindi niya na isipin ulit maglaslas. Kailangan ko malaman ano ba ang problema niya o pinagdadaanan niya mamayang gabi.

Nang makarating na ako sa meeting ay naabutan ko na sila kumakain. I was a little bit late. As usual, napag-uusapan na 'yung gagamitin para sa itatayo na infrastructure. Kausap ni Miss La Farell 'yung engineer sa Pilipinas at pag-usapan 'yung mga plano nila.

"Okay, I know I can count on you, Engineer Valderama," si Mrs. Hamilton. "I'll go home after a couple of days to meet you in person."

Pagtapos ng meeting namin lahat ay pumunta na ulit ako sa suite ko kasi gusto ko naman sulitin 'yung staycation ko. Naabutan ko si Cadence na nagp-push up sa sahig at umangat 'yung ulo niya. He blows the strands of his wet hair that is covering his eye. Umiigting ang kaniyang panga habang may tumutulo na pawis sa kaniyang noo.

I felt my throat begin to dry. What the hell am I seeing right now?

Tumayo siya sa harapan ko, bahagyang lumaki 'yung ulo ko nung nagstretch ang kaniyang ulo at tiningnan niya ako ng diretsyo sa mata. Parang binabasa kung ano 'yung tumatakbo sa isipan ko.

He licked his lips. "I miss you, brat."

"Nag work out ka lang dito?" I asked. Iniwas ko 'yung tingin ko para hindi ako madistract sa nakabalandra niyang pawisan katawan sa harap ko. "Bakit hindi ka magpunta sa gym? Para may equipments din ikaw gamitin."

"I was waiting for you. I got bored so I did some push up," he replied in a husky tone.

Kumuha siya ng bimpo at pinunasan niya 'yung basa niyang katawan. I feel like I am having a sin by just watching his sweaty ripped body. It was glistening with his hot sweat that made him hot even further. His biceps were flexing and looked so hard.

Lumapit siya sa akin at pakiramdam ko ay manlalambot 'yung tuhod ko sa ginagawa niya. Hanggang sa naramdaman ko 'yung malamig na pader sa likod ko. Ang isang kamay niya ay nasa tabi ng ulo ko habang nakayuko siya para magpantay ang mukha niya. His eyes can turn my legs into jelly.

"Did you miss me? Hmm?" lumapit 'yung mukha niya sa leeg ko. Naramdaman ko 'yung matangos niyang ilong sa leeg ko. He was sniffing my neck as if he is my alpha. "Answer me, you little brat, do you miss me?"

I was gone for 4 hours dahil ang daming pinag-uusapan sa meeting at plano. Nakailang beses na ako lumunok dahil hindi ko na kinakaya 'yung nararamdaman ko. I feel like he is starting to light up the little fire that I tried to blow it many times. I was burning with the sinful temptation.

His fingers traced my neck which sent shivers down to my spine. Nakita ko kung paano siya ngumisi nang makita niya ang naging reaksyon ko. His touch is making me crazy and I want to cling my arms around his neck.

He lifted up my chin with his index finger. Ilang beses niya na binasa 'yung labi niya kaya sobrang moist na nito at namumula. I could smell his usual perfume with his oozing sweat.

"I-I miss you, Cadence," I whispered.

He grinned. "I like it when you call my name without a tito. Call my name again, please?"

"Cadence..."

Napapikit siya at nakita ko na kumuyom 'yung kamay niya na nasa pader. He looks like an angry beast in front of me who wants to tame me right now. Naglandas 'yung kamay niya sa leeg ko at pakiramdam ko ay binalot ng mahahaba niyang daliri 'yung leeg ko. He was slightly choking me.

"You are making me crazy, Kyla Adrianna."
