Once rejected now accepted

Lashley school

With my half full bag I stand at the door to the school thinking about what alpha Jonathan had said on the way here.

“ Midnight I know you are special, any child who survived through all that you have is stronger than they know. Keep that in mind and you will make it farther than anyone in the pack will ever expect, My son is truly a fool for rejecting you...”

my mind is running at the speed of lightning, “ Wait how... how did you know about that did he tell you, did he expect you to pour salt in my open wounds?” I say thinking back knowing that he wouldn’t do that to the alpha was the only one in the pack who did not hate me.

” No Midnight, he didn’t have to tell me. I am the alpha and I know how mates look at one another for the first time.” He shakes his head in disapproval at his sons behavior. “ My son will regret his choice when you come back stronger than anyone in the pack, don’t do but that you will be back and don’t forget what they did never let that happen to you again. And when you do get your wolf make them all regret what they have done.” I don’t understand how he doesn’t know that I have shifted already.

” A-alpha I have to tell you something, if you are able to pull over.” Not thinking he will listen or care knowing that I will ask him to take me back to the pack, but that’s not my plan at all I plan to show him my wolf.

when the car is stoped I step out and walk into the cover of the trees the alpha hot on my heals, not wanting to waist his time I turn to him. “ Alpha I have already changed, I can prove it but I do not wish to go back to the pack if I show you my wolf you will probably understand more than I do.” He looks shocked at what I’m saying, he did not expect this not from me.

” Ok Midnight” a smile appeared on his face ready for me to show my wolf. With that I thought of all the things that make me angry, the abuse the taunting, the starving, and my brother having betrayed me on the highest level. My body shook with anger my bones snapping and stretching as I shifted into my wolf the pain was so much worse than my first shift causing me to howl in pain.

The alphas eyes are stuck on my fur knowing lighting his face as he reaches out to touch my fur. “ Midnight this is very rare your fur is silver, and your eyes there like glowing emeralds” The shock lining his face makes him look older and more wise than anyone who I have ever seen. As I shift back with my clothes on his jaw drops. I know he didn’t expect me to have clothing on after shifting back, but more than that his face scrunches in shock as he notices that my cent has still not changed.

” We have to go back to the car now Midnight, we’ll talk more in the car.” And with that he turned and walked away heading swiftly for the car. Once we’re back on the road he looks at me and than back at the road. “ Midnight do you know what you are?” I shake my head no. It’s hard for me to know what I am when I can’t even understand the expressions running across his face. “ Midnight you are what they would call a predestined Luna hybrid, now according to record there have only been three in our history, but keep in mind that you should not go around freely throwing this information out, once the world knows what you are they will all try and take you to have your abilities to themselves... Midnight while you are at this school you need to find people you trust and only tell them what you are.” He pauses to look over at me to see that I’m still listening to him. “ find friends even if that means joining a small pack created at school by the students, and only trust them with this, get strong and when you are finished at this school I will be more than happy for you to come back to the pack.”

With that final statement we had arrived at the school and I was on my way out of the car. Standing at the front door frightened of what was eating for me I hesitate hand on the door. Knowing I can’t wait forever I push the door open surprised at what I see in front of me.

My heart is pounding this place is beautiful with white floor tiles lining the halls, the office placed conveniently at the front of the building, I head in as I approach the front desk I’m awe struck by a smile on the face of the receptionist. “ hello dear, you must be a new student can I have your name please?” She was so sweet I was just shocked.

” M-midnight Star mama.” I said with a stutter probably looking like the most confused pup on earth.

”ok hon here’s your schedule and your room assignment, I’ll call for someone to show you around and since the day is almost over you won’t start classes until Tuesday, good luck hon and have fun.” She said this like she meant it so all I could do was smile at her and go to wait for my guid to show me around.

My guide showed up about ten minutes later sporting a man bun and lip ring he was buff standing at about 6’6” with a smile on his face.

” Hey I’m Drake, but all my friends call me Dra, what’s your name?”

”Ummm, Midnight ... Midnight star if you want you can just call me star.” I think I sound confident enough that I might have just made a new friend by saying that.

” Ok, Star I think we should start by showing you to your room so you can drop off your stuff before lunch.”

With that he turned and started walking I almost had to jog to keep up with him. “ Hey what’s your room number star? The rooms are coed so I might know your roommate.” My face flushed at sharing a place with a guy, that’s new I haven't shared a room with anyone since my sister was assumed dead even though they never found my brother or sisters bodies. Dra stops and looks at me waiting for my room number.

“ Oh, right.” I look at the paper the lady in the office gave me, “ ummm, room 316 is what the paper seas.” Dra starts laughing at my response and for the life of me I can’t figure out why, but it’s a calming sound almost like a lullaby.

” Cool, I do know your roommate, he’s pretty cool in my opinion.” With that he starts walking again and I just follow curiosity catching me in it clutches, when we reach the room Dra takes my key from me and unlocks the door. Before I know it he’s flopping down on a couch in what looks to be a living room, pointing down the hall. “ Door on the left is yours , your roommate should be back any minute.”

with that I walk down the hall and go through the door on the left kinda happy to be able to set my small amount of stuff down. After checking out my room I go sit on the couch with Dra to wait.
