GENERAL POV “Is she upset because of the dream thingy?” Elise asked . Lucy shrugged. “She obviously is. I know that girl she is going to try conjuring up a spell without anyone knowing.” My aunts knew me too well. I was a whole ass witch and also a wolf. In fact I was a hybrid too. You did not get to see that everyday. So yes, I was going to go through the family spell book and look for a spell to answer my questions. What could possibly go wrong? Moreover the only problem I had, was with my aunts worrying too much about me. “Denver you have to be careful with what spells you use.” Aunt Lucy would say. “Yeah spells that aren’t made by well trained witches could have disastrous consequences.” Aunt Elise would conquer with her. But come one, if I was a hybrid then that meant that I was special. That had to count didn’t it? Then I ran down the stairs and got out of the house. I put the key in my car and drove down to the avenue. “Denver you are an ass kicking hybrid.” I told myself as I drove down the road. “And you are not going to worry about some boy who you are kissing in some lousy s**t ass dream.” “Your boyfriend Jack is your mate. No one else.” I told myself. I drove on further till I reached Jack’s family house. Their house was fifty times bigger than mine. It was a large family mansion and according to rumours it was owned by the founding fathers who happened to be Jack’s ancestors. Moreover the town was named after the Brook family. Brookville. The first time and last time I had come to this house was when I had just recently moved into town and we had been invited to a house party. It had turned out to be a rollercoaster of events, as we eventually ended up encountering with a vampire who killed a teenage girl. It was the first time we found out that Himari was a demon and that our town was haunted with Wolves, vampires, Banshees, vampire hunters, witches and everything magically. You name it. It was the beginning of all our troubles and realisation that my twin brother and I were not just normal human beings. Seeing the place, just gave me shivers. As I drove to the front of the house, I parked and a valet came to open my door for me and take my car away. “Welcome to Brook mansion.” He smiled at me as he opened the door for me and helped me out “Thank you.” I smiled and then he got in and drove away. I walked to the frontage and held my breath before I finally stepped in. I was aware of the eyes staring at me, but I held my head high and went on in. “Oh my God, Denver you look amazing.” London and Rhea said in unison. I jumped and then when I saw it was them, I calmed down. “Hi, guys.” I said with a smile. “Thanks. You two look equally great.” “But not as you.” Rhea said with a smile. They were so nice. “Thanks a lot.” I nodded my head. “You came alone?” London asked looking behind me. “Uhmmm yeah.” I said. “I kinda did. I just left my family members at home and decided to come ahead. They are coming back later though.” “Is your brother coming?” Rhea asked me. “Uhmmm no, he isn’t.” I said. “He had some work out of town with my grandparents.” “Awwwwwn, that’s really sad.” They said in unison. Yup, them saying things together was totally creepy. I smiled awkwardly. “Well when he gets back, tell him we said hi.” London said. “Sure, definitely.” I said with a smile. The Brook twins had a huge crush on my brother and they did not even bother hiding it. “Where is your brother?” I asked. “Oh Jack?” London said. “He went out to get somethings, but he would be back.” “Alright thanks.” I said. “Well, I think I am just going to look around.” “Alright dear.” They said in unison and then they pecked me and left. I turned and walked through the number of people in the mansion. I looked up and saw a woman with long black hair up at the stairway talking to some people. She looked classy and rich. She looked stuck up like a boss woman that you did not want to mess with. I saw the face well from where I stood and I saw the resemblance. “Oh my God.” I said to myself. This was Jack’s mother. The infamous Angela Brook. I started to feel my stomach turn in knots and then I decided that I didn’t want her to see me, neither did I want to see her. I was terrified of her even though we hadn’t met yet so I picked up a glass of wine and walked out towards the back. When I hit the back, I was able to take some cool fresh air. There was no one in sight, just me and the cool blue swimming pool. Just seeing the back of the mansion brought back memories of the last time I had been here. It felt odd because Ron had been here too. It was really sad that it was dead. Sometimes I did not want to even think of it. Maybe there was this guilt in me. Guilt that I could have done something to save his life. Then I felt a presence and I turned. Right before me was the boy in my dreams. The boy I had been dreaming of and the boy I had been kissing.
