DENVER’S POV
I looked at myself in the mirror, I had never been so styled before.
I had my mass of red hair styled up in ringlets above my hair. My dress was a low neck dress revealing my cleavage. It was a silver dress and it had a high slit. Courtesy of Lucy.
I had never worn a dress so fabulous and also so revealing.
“Wow you look amazing.” Lucy gawked at me. “You are really my niece. Take a good look at yourself.”
Then she started to wave her hands over her eyes.
“I am so proud I think I am going to cry.” Lucy said.
Elise rolled her eyes. “Ignore you aunt. But she is right. You look stunning.”
I smiled at her and said. “Thank you.”
Tonight was my first ever wolf ceremony. I had never attended a wolf ceremony this was going to be my first and I was both excited and anxious.
It was Jack’s pre coronation ceremony as the next Alpha.
“What do they actually do?” I asked my aunts curious as they got dressed too.
“Nothing much. Just eat. Hang around and know each other. This isn’t the main coronation ceremony.” Elise said.
Then I bit my lip. Something had been bothering for a while.
“Uhmmm can I ask something ?“ I asked them.
“Sure sweetie.”
I sighed. “Is it normal to have recurring dreams? Like you just keep having one particular dream.”
They both turned to look at me.
“What kind of dream?” They Choruses together.
“Wow you two doing that together was so creepy. Even much more creepier than when London and Rhea are doing it.” I said, I was talking about Jack’s twin sisters. I shook my head. “Anyways do not judge me ok? And moreover I do not think it is a really serious dream.”
“What is it?” They chorused together again.
“Okay fine.” I said. “I have been dreaming of this boy. I have never ever seen him before in my life but it seemed so real.”
“What was happening in the dream?” Lucy asked me.
I started to blush really hard at that point. “Uhmmm we were kissing.”
My two aunts gasped at me and started laughing.
“A whole new level of sexiness.” Lucy said tapping me playfully. “Look at you Kissing men in your dreams huh.”
I rolled my eyes. “I knew you two were going to say these.”
“Okay we are not going to laugh anymore.” Lucy said. “Sorry.”
“Okay ok look.” Elise said. “Dreams can tell different things ok? It depends. It is hard to say. I am not really good at predicting dreams but I could try to do that for you.”
“How exactly are we going to do that?” I asked.
“Alright how my dream interpretation works is that uhmmm I connect with people before they dream.” Elise said. “It is a spell I can easily make. We do the spell, and basically I get into your dreams. So the next time you have a dream, I am going to be there and figure it out for you.”
“Okay?” I said uncomfortably.
I was not so sure I wanted my aunts in my dreaming watching me kiss a boy I had never known before.
“You know what? Maybe this is a well, totally bad idea.” I jumped up.
“What is?” Lucy asked.
“You two getting into my dream.” I said. “I don’t think so.”
“Are you being shy?” Elise asked me.
“Did you do two do more than just kissing?” Lucy asked me with a demonic smile.
Jesus Christ what I was even avoiding was already happening to me.
“Heaven no. God please, no. I don’t even know who this guy is.” I explained exasperated. “You know what it’s pointless. This whole thing is pointless. Moreover, it is not like I am cheating on Jack or anything.”
No one said anything.
“Am I?” I had to ask myself again.
My aunts looked at each other.
“No, not really. I don’t think it counts.” They said.
I gawked at them.
“Oh my God, you two are lying to me!” I said in shock.
I got up from my bed and started pacing the room up and down.
“Oh my God she is doing it again.” Lucy said to Elise.
“You need to really calm down and stop overthinking.” Elise told me.
“You are going to ruin your hair, dress and make up with all this your pacing.” Lucy said running around after me.
I sighed and sat down on a chair.
It was true for the past few weeks, I had been dreaming of a boy with dark hair and green eyes. It was like we knew each other.
It was like it was not the first time we were meeting and whenever I was dreaming about him, it was like I was seeing right through him and like he could see me too.
I took in a deep breath. “You know what? It is just a freaking dream and nothing more.”
“It is not like he is going to be my soul mate or anything.” I laughed.
My aunts looked at each other.
“Because Jack is my mate duh.” I said to reassure them.
“Look honey. You might not want to hear this, but sometimes it is possible that we get confused with who our mate is.” Lucy told me.
I started at her blankly.
“I am not confused about anything.” I said. “Jack is my mate. Not this random person I just happy to be dreaming about.”
My aunts shrugged.
I sighed. “You know what? I am going to the event ahead of everyone and on my own.”
“You sure about that?” Lucy asked me with a brow raised up. “We were thinking of going as a whole ass badass family kind of stuff. Have every heads in the town turning.”
I smiled and grabbed my jacket and keys. “I think I will pass this one.”
Then I walked out of the room.
