CHARLOTTE’S POV
When Charlotte got home, it was already four.
She parked her car and then got her stuff out, locked it before going up the stairs.
She opened the door.
Her mum was inside.
“Hey sweetie.” Mum said. “Welcome back home.”
She smiled. “Thanks. I got your missed call. Sorry, I was with Denver when you called and I missed it.”
Mum shrugged. “Oh don’t worry it was nothing serious. I just wanted you to help me pick out an extra gallon of milk when you were coming back. But it’s cool. Your dad would get it when he gets back from the Bakery.”
Her parents owned a bakery where they made cookies, cupcakes and everything Pastry.
It was necessary for every member of the family to know hot to bake. It was in their blood and so Charlotte herself had gotten used to it.
“So how was school?” Her mum asked her.
Charlotte walked to the couch and slumped on it and took in a very deep breath.
“It was stressful.” Charlotte said. “I just really want to sleep.”
Then she looked around.
“Where is everyone else?” Charlotte asked when she noticed that none of her siblings were in plain sight. Usually they would be around fighting over something.
“Oh they were fighting over the TV remote so I sent them to the bakery.” She told her.
Charlotte grinned. She knew it.
“Isn’t that a bit too harsh?” Charlotte asked. “You know how much Lola can’t stand doing any chore.”
“She was the main cause of the whole thing to start with in the first place.” Her mum told her. “I’m pretty sure they would all love to strangle her for getting them all into that big trouble.”
“Why are you home?” Charlotte asked. “Aren’t you supposed to be at the bakery?”
“Yes I am.” Her mum replied. “But as you have all forgotten today is your dad and I’s anniversary.”
“Ouchhhh.” Charlotte said. “I am so sorry. I had completely forgotten about that. Happy Anniversary mum.”
“It’s alright.” Her mum said with a shrug. “I mean it’s okay for you to forget it, but not your dad.”
“He forgot it too didn’t he huh?” Charlotte asked.
Her mum nodded. “Uh huh and he is going to be in a whole lot of trouble if he doesn’t remember it before the end of today.” Her mum said returning back to the kitchen.
Charlotte laughed and then she got up from the couch.
“I’m gonna go up to my room. I have assignments to do.” Charlotte said.
“Alright dear. You can come down when Dinner is ready.” She heard her mum say. “I made pasta your favourite.”
“Okay mum.” Charlotte shouted back.
Then she ran up the stairs and into her room. Once she was in her room, she shut the door behind her and locked it and then she flung her bag on the bed.
She took of her jacket and hung it.
Then she walked to one of her drawers and looked for the secret compartment and pulled it out where she picked out a picture.
She walked to her bed and sat down and looked at it closely. It was a picture of Himari.
She smiled at the picture and then she looked right into it and soon the picture began to burn into flames.
Charlotte watched as the picture turned into bright red and blue flames.
“You’re going to pay.” She promised as she spoke into the burning picture and watched it burn into nothingness.
Then she smiled devilishly. Oh they were all going to pay.

HIMARI’S POV
Himari had been awake for a while now. Jacquelyn was standing over her with her followers.
"When I get out of here, I will f*****g kill you." Jacquelyn said.
Jacquelyn laughed.
"Oh but you wouldn't." Jacquelyn said. "That thing securing you down is a very powerful magic. With ever single instant that you try to resist it, you will be tied down further. The more you do it, the more you will be tied. If you aren't careful if could break your bones and kill you before I get to."
Jacquelyn was right. The ropes around her were from very old magic and she had actually tried to free herself, but if had just tightened her the more.
"So you're a demon after all." Jacquelyn said. "My daughter said she wanted revenge from a human, but then she didn't know you were a supernatural creature. I intact, did not know that you were that same pest that had interfered in our plans back in India."
"Your daughter?" Himari said lost.
"Oh yes. I have a daughter. You offended her in a very terrible way and you offending her, means you offending me." Jacquelyn said. "You will be dead very soon oui?"
Himari was lost for words. Her daughter? Who the f**k was her daughter? And when had she even offended her so called daughter. Jacquelyn had been asleep for years, so when had she had the opportunity to have a child. And not just that.
Vampires didn't have children did they? What was going on here?
"I don't know who your f*****g daughter is." Himari said and spat at Jacquelyn's face
Jacquelyn's face turned into thunder and then she smiled. She gently cleaned her face with a hankie. Then she slapped Himari with such force she heard her neck crack.
Himari coughed out a large amount of blood.
"I don't like pests and you are one." Jacquelyn said. "Do you want to know how I will kill you?"
Himari didn't answer her.
"Well because you asked I will tell you." Jacquelyn smiled sarcastically. "Have you heard of the old Viking exorcist? They are quite rare and if you know. You know what they do."
The door opened and Himari saw a buff man come in.
"The Viking exorcists are the natural enemies of demons. It's their job to cast the demon out of their own body. The most painful and excruciating death a demon can ever succumb to."
Jacquelyn smiled and the man came to stand beside Himari.
As she approached Himari watched as a dagger was pulled out and just as they were about to plunge it into her chest, she screamed and woke up.
Himari took in heavy breaths as she took into her surroundings. When she was sure that she was safe in her home she started to breathe softly.
Then she heard a rap at her window and she jumped and picked up her demon sword and flung it.
It was Denis and he had just dodged by a few inches.
“What the hell?” She hissed at him quietly. “I could have killed you.”
“Sorry.” He apologised as he looked at the sword on the wall and bent down.
Himari got up from her bed and walked round to his side and she looked at him in annoyance and then she pulled the sword out from the wall.
“That was close.” He said trying to make it turn to a joke.
She returned it back to its place and sat down on her bed.
“Want to tell me why you’re at my window?” She asked him.
He smiled at her. “Just checking up on you.”
He said as he kissed her forehead.
“You were having a nightmare.” He said with a frown on his face. “Are you okay?”
She smiled. “Yeah I am, Just a Little Dream that’s all.”
“Is it still the night of the fight?” He asked her.
She nodded reluctantly.
Then she opened up. “I still can’t put my head around it. I have never met Jacquelyn or come across her in any of my lives. So why would she want to kill me?”
“She said that I had hurt her daughter and that was why I was getting punished.” Himari said. “All this doesn’t make sense. I don’t even know how to feel about all this. You think I’m crazy right?”
He pulled her to him and kissed her forehand. “Of course I do. That’s why I’m madly in love with you.”
She smiled in the comfort of his embrace.
“Thanks for being here.” She said to him through his chest. “Even though it’s really creepy that you’re here in my bed by one in the morning.”
He laughed and then he let her go.
Then he adjusted himself on the bed and held her close to him and she snuggled into him.
Then she closed her eyes and slept her forgot her troubles for a while.
