The whole day, I felt off, not sick but not quite myself, Hamel my wolf was pacing in my mind. He was agitated. I had been receiving a text from some she-wolves whom I had dated in the past, nothing serious, who wanted me to escort them tonight.

The funny thing is they didn’t even want to be there with me. The Summit is one of the only times a year all of the Alpha's from around the world are in one place at the same time. There is the Summer Summit and the Winter, only one is mandatory but most choose the Summer because the Winter takes place either right before Winter Solstice or after and either one is a headache to attend. Since the Summit's creation only twice have all Alpha and Betas been required to attend both Summits.

I was oddly irritated by their sudden need to try and use me to get into a Summit with so many young eligible young Alpha’s.

Being a Beta, sometimes came with the job, sorting through the women who wanted you for you and the ones who wanted to get closer to my Alpha.

What most she wolves didn’t understand was that my Alpha doesn’t share. If they so much as look at me he won’t pay them any attention. The same for me. I refuse to be second fiddle, yes I’m a Beta but I’m a person and I deserve respect,

Hamel however was extra irritated by these women today. I might have told them all off so badly that I’m blocked now.

But that wasn’t it, no matter what he wouldn’t settle. At the summit, we’re not allowed to shift so I couldn’t run. So I worked out, and I sparred with Ezra and a few other Betas and Gammas, I was tired by the end of it but nothing would help.

“ Ok buddy what’s going on you are driving me insane”- I asked him

“I Feel like something is changing like someone is coming. You know?” -Hamel said to me

“Not really, can you be more specific”- I replied in confusion.

Hamel was a very intuitive wolf naturally, most wolves were but it was almost like a superpower for him. We mostly never had issues, when it came to me listening to him. Other than me bedding she wolves and the occasional human. He wasn’t fond of that but he retreated into my mind. He also was a good judge of character so I rarely had Tonya-like issues.

We did however come, to an agreement, and I haven’t touched any woman since I was asked to be Ezra's Beta. It’s been tough but seeing this crap Ezra is dealing with is making me glad I’m beyond single. Even these women in my phone today are users who don’t want me, and truthfully the feeling is mutual. I’m more than ready to meet my mate and start a family.

“Frederick, I think we should be prepared”- He said and retreated into the back of my mind.

“ For what? HELLO, FOR WHAT?”- I yelled back

No response, way to leave a guy hanging. I’m not too worried, he’s a very, you’ll know when you need to know, kind of wolf. I know he wouldn’t hold out if it was dangerous.

So I went to my room showered and took a nap. Tonight was the ball, I had all my duties done. I arranged a separate car for Tonya. I also took her off the access list to the Alpha floor and changed the codes. I had all the staff notified of the change and that, Luna was found and all traces of her were to be removed from sight in the pack house.

A while later, I headed to the bathroom to get ready, I wanted to get down to the Ballroom early to secure our table and make sure, she, who must not be named wasn’t at our table.

I opted for a black tux with a peak lapel, a crisp white shirt, and for some flare, I chose a velvet black bow tie and I topped it off with a black waistcoat. With patent leather oxfords, Dapper Fred is what they should call me.

I headed down to the ballroom, everything was so nice lots of creams and gold, I found our tables they were labeled by the crest. We were right next to Adir’s pack as I read the names at his table. I noticed two names I hadn’t heard before. Anneis and Andalee reading those names gave me shivers. They were pretty names different but beautiful, they must be Eislyn and Adir’s sisters, I think I remember something about twins. I lingered on the names for a bit longer then shook the feeling off.

Unfortunately, Tonya was at our table but I was able to move her to the warrior's table. I moved Eislyn next to the Alpha, I added Ansel to Adir’s table next to his daughter. And for some reason, I wanted to put the twins at our table. I thought better of it and finished rearranging seats.

I looked up and I noticed more people had started to enter the hall. High-ranked wolves in their finest attire, beautiful Lunas who have been getting ready all day, Beta females, and lady friends who’ve done the same.

Then it hit me, a coconut and Vanilla scent, or coconut and brown sugar, like a warm cookie. Hamel rose to the front of my mind. He was going insane, pacing back and forth left and right. What the hell is the insanely amazing smell? It’s tantalizing, I sniffed the smell got stronger towards the door.

I saw Ezra and Eislyn I know for damn sure it isn’t them. I saw Maikiah and an older beautiful woman with her. But behind them were two goddesses with Ginger brown skin, the golden beauties both of them had their hair back, giving a full view of their beautiful faces. I have two mates. I headed towards them I needed to touch them, smell them, be with them. I walked right past Ezra and Eislyn.
