Last Day at High Tide.

Ezra~

I was very happy to see Frederick blessed with his mate, well, I should say mates. Good on him, two mates seem like a lot of work but I’m extremely happy for my friend. Fredrick has always felt like a brother to me and, our pups will be related.

We headed off to an empty room. As we walked through the door, I smacked my hands on his shoulder shaking him. “I’m so happy for you, Two mates I’m guessing you're going to be taking a two-week mate moon”. I said smiling at him.

“So all of my daughters have now found their mates. Today is a proud day for a man when his daughters find their other half. Not that it wasn’t a big day for you Adir, the girls are different.” Calian Eislyn’s dad stated.

I wrapped my arm around Eislyn’s waist. Proud to be hers.

He wrapped his arm around his Lunas waist, pulling her into him. “ And on behalf of me and my Luna I would like to welcome you both to the Yarrow clan. I made them tough, strong-willed, and capable and my Luna here made them, smart, confident, honest, and resilient. With those attributes, you have fine mates, strong, and wonderful women and I hope that you’ll protect them the way they deserve and more”. He continued.

“Daddy that was an awesome speech and I hope you remember it for Eislyn’s Luna Ceremony speech”. Said one of the twins, I haven’t quite figured out who is who.

“ How about we get back to the party and end this Summit with a bang, 'cause tomorrow I want to show my luna her pack”. I said.

We danced and ate, and danced some more. Eislyn looked gorgeous in her dress, I told her red was my favorite color but it’s never looked so good.

“ Are you having a good time sunshine? I hope you are excited to see the pack tomorrow”. I said

“Yes, I’m having such a good time. I’m excited to see your pack tomorrow.” She replied.

“No. Our pack, I corrected. You are my Luna and I can’t wait to show you our home.

We hung out for a little while longer then I walked her to her room. The ladies decided they would have a girls' night.

The next morning, I woke up a little groggy, we stayed up late talking about, Luna ceremonies and pups, even what to do during s*x. I was excited about it all. I just knew my ride wouldn’t be as smooth as Adir’s was with Maikiah and the twins with Frederick. Poor Frederick he was going to have his hands full.

I was all packed up, dressed, showered, and clean, and heading down to breakfast. I did a final sweep over the room. When a knock sounded at the door it was a bellhop ready to take out our bags.

When we got downstairs, I noticed a very upset Tonya.

I walked past her over to Ezra and Fredrick.

“What’s eating her, or do I not want to know.”

“She saw her bags going to a different car and questioned me about it. I told her she had her car and two warriors to accompany her back to the pack.”- Frederick replied Slightly annoyed

“Oh darn, must suck to be chauffeured, I said snidely. Who are the not-so-lucky warriors?” – I asked.

“ Ansel and Roger, he is another mated warrior and they are both desperate to get home to their mates. I also know they’re won’t be any funny business in my car”. Ezra replied.

“Well, we have a bit of a drive, let’s eat something”. I said quickly deciding I was over the temper tantrum.

We ate, we said goodbye to all the new people we met and made connections with. It was hard to see some people leave. I had met a few nice Lunas, all of whom told me they’d gladly come to my Luna ceremony if an invitation was extended. They wished my union well. We had all previously shared information. I was thrilled at the thought of seeing them again.

I got in the SUV with Frederick and the girls. Ezra, drove as we headed to High Tide for the last time as Yarrow sisters.

When we got home it was lunch time we ate with the pack, and mom announced, that her girls, found their mates. Introducing Alpha Ezra as my mate and the twins with Beta Fredrick. They all cheered.

I showed Ezra around the pack, we went to some of my favorite shops. the flower shop, and the art store, as well as the vintage record store. Old man Donny owned the record shop, he was a quirky guy, who knew everything about all types of music. He never mated, so I guess music was his life. He and Ezra talked for quite some time. Ezra also bought 4 new records he’d been looking for and placed an order for two others that Donny didn’t have but was sure he could get.

We walked around to my favorite beach cliff and hung out there till our stomachs started to growl. Then we headed back to the pack house.

.“You know Sunshine you were supposed to be packing, but it was nice seeing the places you love”. – Ezra said as he pulled me in closer to his body.

“ It’s ok, my mom had the Alpha floor Omegas do it, while she supervised, but the art supplies I’ll pack up, tomorrow morning before we go. Oh also I didn’t show you everything, I have to show you my favorite bakery before we leave tomorrow, they sell my favorite croissants”. I said in my best French accent.

When we got back pretty much everyone had turned in for the night. Ezra and I ate a light dinner. Before we could head to the Alpha floor, my mom stopped me.

“Oh, you can head up Alpha Ezra, I like a word with my Dream, She said lovingly

“ Oh alright, and it’s Ezra, just Ezra. I hope you see me as part of the family now. I know Eislyn isn’t marked yet but she’s mine and I’m hers.” He stated proudly.

“ That’s wonderful to hear, Ezra, she said nodding her head. And if that’s the case, I’m glad to call you son, you and Frederick both. Now run along I need to have a quick girl chat”.

He headed off I hope he can find my room, I thought.

“ He’ll be fine my Dream, come on.” She said hurriedly.

We got to her office and there were four big pink bags. I looked inside and pulled out the tiniest piece of fabric I had ever seen. Now don’t get me wrong, I own nice underwear, though I’m partial to the lady boxer. But this, whatever I’m holding wasn’t going to hold anything in.

“Mom, I screeched, where’s the rest of it”? I pulled out something else this time a negligee, that wasn’t so bad. It was small and probably wouldn’t cover my butt, it was silky and black. There were a lot of matching bra and panties sets. Even a fringe thong bodysuit, I’m not sure what this fringe was supposed to cover. I put my hand on my head. I looked at my mom she was so proud of herself.

“ While packing today I noticed you severely lacked these items. So me and Maikiah, thought it would be good if we prepared you, granted you’ll have to keep up our efforts. He’ll likely rip half of this to shreds”. She said rummaging through the bags, pleased with herself.

“ I’m not sure any of these things are required Mom I’ll be basically naked in half of it what’s wrong with my lady boxers”?

“oh, Nothing darling we got a bag of practical things too. But this stuff is fun” she said holding up the fringe boob bodysuit. – she said enjoying my horrified face.

“Did you do this for the twins”? I asked making sure I wasn’t the only one bombarded.

“Surprisingly they’ve been stocking up on their own so I just bought them a few things from this season”. – she said proudly

My mouth just hung open. Once I recovered I went to grab the bags.

“No. no she said swatting my hands away. I’m going to pack these away. She pointed to the pink suitcase In the corner. We want them to be a surprise”.

I made my way up to my room. To my surprise, Ezra was already asleep. So I quickly went into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and wrapped my hair. I got dressed in a T-shirt and shorts. I climbed over him and looked around my room. Please goddess let this work, I recited allowing myself to drift off to sleep.

The next morning Ezra was holding me so tight. I was able to unhook myself and head to the bathroom to do my business. When I stepped out he was still sleeping so I threw on some sweatpants. I linked the am Omega to bring boxes to my studio. When I got to my studio, young Jacoby was there he’s 15 and out of school he works with his parents during the summer to earn money.

“Ms. Eislyn, I’m going to miss you I heard the news about you moving packs, to be with your mate as well as the twins”.

“I’m going to miss you too young Jacoby. I want you to keep working hard in school and I will be getting updates from the future Luna. I said, now run along before your mom misses you I’ll link if I need help”.

I packed up a few unfinished pieces, including the Luna ceremony portraits. I packed all my unused canvases, my paints, chalk, oils, and even some sculpting clay I needed, and All my brushes. I put my favorite easel and chair by the door to take, I also packed away three pallets. And all my sketchbooks, used and unused. Along with my speaker and smocks, this was a task, I never realized how much stuff I had.

I headed back to the room after packing and having it moved to the truck. Ezra was gone but his scent lingered. I sat on my bed and just stared. 21 years I spent in this room. But I’m a Luna now, or we’ll see in four weeks.

A knock sounded at the door, it was Ezra and he came in bearing gifts in the form of a breakfast burrito. Jodi said this was for you. A lone tear fell down my cheek.

“ Hey, baby, are you crying.? He asked worriedly.

“No, not really, I’m just letting it all set in. I need to get used to a new life, I’m happy, but I’m sad to say goodbye”. I said and he kissed the top of my head.

“ I’m going to leave you to it, so you can get dressed, I believe you still owe me a trip to an awesome bakery”. He said with a small smile trying to cheer me up.

I ate and enjoyed Jodi’s breakfast burrito special. Then I hopped in the shower and washed thoroughly. I dried off, oiled up, and brushed my teeth. My hair was still straight so I pulled it back into a ponytail. What to wear on your first day as Future Luna? I thought, luckily mom didn’t pack everything. It’s summer, how am I supposed to be sophisticated, myself, but not too revealing for the first meeting, like Mom always said?

I found an asymmetrical camisole with spaghetti straps in a champagne color. I paired it with some light-washed khaki-colored denim pants and a muted pointed-toe green sling-back heel. I kept my accessories simple wearing a white gold cuff and simple diamond earrings.

The whole family and I met up in front of the pack house. Many of the pack members wished us well. We said our goodbyes, and Mom cried a little, which in turn made Maikiah cry she blamed the hormones. Everyone promised to come over in a week once we’ve settled. And before we left the pack completely we stopped at the bakery and then we were off.
