Blood and Rejection.

ELIZABETH "Shift!" He glared at me before releasing a menacing growl. His demeanor was consumed with a dark hostility. It was almost as if he already had doubts about me for a while and he was only waiting for me to reveal them so that he would confirm his doubts. A thought entered my head about hypnotizing him. But that was also a very risky move. It could backfire on me and the consequences could be more drastic for us both if I did not get it right. So I decided to take a subtle approach. Maybe I could talk him into dropping the entire act. "Jameson. . .we don't have to fight about this. I feel weak, way too weak to transform. I just need a peaceful picnic that is less hectic," I pleaded with him hoping that it would get to him. Yet his eyes further darkened. Jameson did not say a word as he began to approach me. He stopped some inches away from me and snarled. "I asked you to shift and you have refused to do that! Are you messing with me, Elizabeth? Do you think me as your play thing? Do you think I'm a weakling that you can just disrespect and manipulate?!" He roared. I stared back at him, surprised at how fast things were escalating. I was about to speak when he suddenly unleashed his blue wolf upon me. I staggered back in shock as I stared at him. Why did he release his wolf? Was he trying to kill me? "But Jameson? It has not gotten to this. We can talk about how you're feeling peacefully. After all, we are both adults," I stated in desperation as my voice trembled. He suddenly roared in my face and the realization of my life being in danger caused my vampire to come alive. The crimson glow of my eyes became visible. I snarled back at Jameson and a shocked expression washed over his face. In a flash, he came forward and attacked me. I tried to fight back by swiping at him with my claws. Blood spilled and stained the earth as we fought. I would have been able to protect myself had he not been an Alpha and had I not been a new vampire. Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to get any of those. So he eventually bit my neck and I cried out. The sudden pain was so great that it woke my werewolf side and my body underwent the transformation at the same time; my lower body became a wolf and my upper body stayed a vampire. Jameson staggered back for a split second, frozen in time on what I had become, before charging at me and giving me a hard strike to my stomach with his claws. My stomach began bleeding immediately and I morphed back into my human form. The smell of my own blood sickened me but there was nothing I could do. I felt life begin to sip out of my body as Jameson shifted back into his human form. He stood over me naked and with a disgusted expression. "You are an abomination, Elizabeth! You allowed those cold slimy blood sucking lowlifes to get to you. You should have chosen death but no— you became one of them! I am disgusted by your entire existence! I want to undo all the nights I spent with you!" He roared. My heart skipped before sinking again and I could feel how fragile it had become. One last blow and I was going to feel it shatter. I struggled to speak and try to defend myself but I was too weak. The true battle I was having was between staying alive and dying at that moment. Jameson exhaled sharply before shooting me a cold glare. "I hereby reject you as my mate and Luna! From this day, I sever all ties with you and I hope you die very slow and painfully," he concluded. I gasped as I felt a strange thread within me break off and the one held on to Jameson faded away; as if he never existed before. "Please. . . don't do this," I managed to say but it was pointless. Jameson had already turned his back on me and was walking away. I tried to get up and go after him but I could barely move. I tried calling to him but it was futile. I tried searching for my phone but I could not find it either. I must have lost it when I shifted. I could barely breathe now. My vision was getting blurry and my heart began to burn. It felt as if someone had set me on fire. The pain of rejection was unbearable and I believed that I was going to die. Sooner or later, if I did not die from this huge and deep injury, then I would die from a broken heart. I felt as if my only life support, my way of survival and my oxygen had been taken away from me. I slowly crawled to a nearby tree and lay there waiting for death to take me as I wheezed in pain. The fire from my wolf had completely died down and only coldness reigned within me. I felt completely dead inside and I could see darkness slowly creeping upon my vision. "Help. . .someone. . ." I stuttered painfully. Just when I was beginning to give up, a strange scent filled my nose. It was a mixture of coconut and jasmine. It calmed my burning soul and gave me a sense of safety. I slowly opened my eyes to see the most beautiful man I had ever seen my entire life. Even Darius did not stand a chance. He had long blond hair, with eyes as blue as the sky. His lips were full and they looked like he knew his way around kisses. My wolf and vampire suddenly came alive and they wanted him. I felt very weak and starved. The warm blood pumping through his veins looked inviting and tantalizing. To top it up, he was a werewolf. A werewolf's blood was the best thing I needed to heal faster. Yet I tried to resist it but the way his eyes bored into my soul caused electric shudders to run up and down my spine. "Who did this to you?" He demanded in the sweetest voice. That was all I needed to snap. I lost control and I launched at him with all the energy I had left. Then I sank my fangs into his neck.
