Days start flying past me like leaves on a windy October day. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced time running so fast. It feels like it’s slipping through my fingers like sand, without any way of stopping it. It might have something to do with our speed rate of solving murders. I don’t think I’ve ever worked in a team where all the investigations went so quickly. It might have something to do with Adrian’s ability to bring the truth out of people. I have no idea how he does it, but he manages to charm literally everyone. After of few weeks of successfully solving murder cases, people around the office start talking that we’re a little too lucky. I’m not even mad about it. When your success gets noticed by others, you know you’re doing something right. Adrian is still being his old self
