THE TERRIFIED MATE

Selena POV " Selena!!! Come out! Come out right now or you won't like what I'm gonna do to you b***h if I come for you" My dad yelled, sending a cold sensation down my spine. I know I'm in for it again, there's no one to save me from his wrath today. Well, no one has saved me before, so I'm used to the abuse. Dad had tagged me as a witch who killed my mother. Well, my mother died while giving birth to me, so he thought I had killed my mother and had started abusing me from day one of my life. Oh well, let me introduce myself to you; my name is Selena, I'm a 20-year-old nerd who the pack has always abused. Oh well! I'm not a human, so don't get confused when I say pack. I'm a werewolf and my dad leads the pack, so that makes him an alpha. I overheard my dad telling his beta last night, as I was not allowed to leave my room except if he wanted to abuse me, that Alex wants them to sacrifice a wolf for him to save our pack wanted, and I overheard my dad telling Harry, his beta, that they're gonna be releasing me to him. I remembered I had to use my hand to cover my mouth to prevent me from shouting. Of course! Mr. Harry was shocked, but who was he to interfere in my dad's business? I had to cry myself to sleep wondering how my life would change! Asking questions without getting answers, who's Alex, is he going to kill me or make me a prisoner? Wondering how my life would take a turn, I've never been out of our Cafe because Dad doesn't allow me to. Back to reality, dad's bang on the door jolted me from my thoughts and I jumped. "Holy s**t! I'm dead. I should have gone down to answer him and he was visibly furious. But when I thought he would start hitting me as he did before, I was surprised he talked to me". "Pack your stuff, you're going with the Alex pack"....he said gently. "And oh yes! That was the first f*****g time dad had spoken to me in a gentle voice". " Be fast"....he shouted and my wolf growled silently, impatiently waiting to be freed, even though I had no idea of what was gonna be happening outside my abused pack. " I hope it favors me," I thought, and started packing my stuff. ..."Life is really so unfair, when it offers you something,you have to sacrifice another for it." " When life offers you death and agony, which one will you choose? That makes you the one in the middle of a deep sea and the devil chuckles, you just have to pick one." " I took the last look at where I grew up, the cafe which I've never been out of before, as the men who came to take me dragged me mercilessly.I wonder where they're taking me to and why dad had to sacrifice me when we had thousands of slaves. He could easily give out to save his pack, but just when I had thought dad was through messing with my life,he held up his hand in the air and then men halted, making me stop too." " Tell Alex she's in his favor and he can do whatever he wants to with her,since you're no longer part of this pack which you've never been. I, Derek, hereby, denounce you Selena, as my daughter." Dad spoke with so much authority as he held his head up proudly. "I took a closer look at his face for the first time and I could see he had gray eyes unlike me, whose eyes are deep green and his face held an emotionless expression," " Must you be this cruel..... denouncing me as your daughter" I whispered as tears threatened to fall all the time. " Have you ever been in a situation where people treat you wrong but you still don't want to leave them? "Yeah......yeah.... exactly.....that feeling.......that's how I feel right now" " I tried to speak but a sigh escaped from my mouth, I couldn't hold it anymore. I burst into fresh tears." " Oh! This is it! You've never for once treated me like your daughter, but I think you've gone too far denouncing me as your daughter........ you'll live to regret ever giving me out for the rest of your life Father!!! "I screamed at him, my voice filled with so many emotions, and his face held an expression I couldn't fathom." " Take her now " he commanded, and entered the cave back hurriedly, and of course his pack followed him. "No, ooo you can't do this to me... Father, I know you don't see me as your daughter......you think I killed my mom but I swear I didn't…… But that doesn't matter.........I prefer to be abused by you and your pack than follow them ......... Father, please save me....give me another chance......... I'll be your servant for the rest of my life........ I'll never scream nor cry again when you wipe me ....... Father!!!!! Father!!! Please save me...... Father........." I screamed with sobs while Alex's men dragged me vigorously. "I was in pain but it was not up to the pain I was feeling in my heart......I thought I could bear it, I thought it would be easy leaving them when I overheard him talking to his beta the previous day......I thought I would be happy leaving him finally after all the years of suffering but I was all wrong........even if they insulted me,abused me....I think I will be able to live like that, I don't even know if Alex will kill me.......... hahahaha" I sobbed as I kept shouting. " Father............"I screamed for the last time before I was thrown in the car and everything went blank. " And that was the last thing I saw before I was driven to an unknown location." " All my body aches but it's not up to the ache in my heart" The car pulled over and I heard the guards (Alex's men) open the boot and drag me down. I was already feeling dizzy. I thought I'd die any moment from now. " I stepped down and the bright sun was the first thing that hit my face. I staggered and I thought I'd fall, but the guards' strong arms wouldn't allow that, of course." " I felt a strong scent hit my nose and I looked up to see where and who it was coming from. I became mute immediately I got my answer." " Of course it's from Alex(lol how do I know it's Alex? Don't mind me. I later found out he's Alex) "In front of me was a young man probably in his late twenties staring deep in my eyes and I could feel his gaze on my body immediately he took his eyes off me." " You're Selena, the unwanted child, right, the witch who killed her mother, right? A woman probably in her early twenties asked me, staring at me disgustingly, and everything I could do was to stare back at her." " A slap in the face brought me back and I was completely dumbfounded, tears gathered, threatening to fall on anything as I felt the impact of the pain on my face. The mistake I made was not answering again and immediately another slap jolted me back from my thoughts and I flinched. " Twas the young Man whose scent filled up my nose earlier that slapped me." " Oh, I think she's dumb" the woman said and took the man's hand, caressing it. " Lock her up" the man commanded and the guards dragged me inside, even though I was not facing them, I knew the man was looking at me. "Oh, less I forget,let me describe what the place I was taken to looks like. It's very beautiful, more of a palace. Of course it's a palace and I'll be taken into a prison." " I think I'll have to spare the description, I was dragged and thrown into the prison and I hit my head in the process, blood started gushing out and I felt like life was being squeezed out of me ..........very soon I drifted into an unknown land .........I became unconscious......... Alex's POV "I felt alerted immediately. They drove in and I became tense....my wolf growled silently and impatiently and I wondered what was wrong with me." " The guards dragged her down ..... Selene, or what's her name, her father, had handed her over to save his pack........,, well, the story behind the sacrifice of Selena was because one of the wolves in her dad's pack killed one of my men, and I threatened to, kill all of them if they didnt provide an hybrid and of course silly, them didn't know the reason I had requested for one so Charles promised to release his daughter as she's the only hybrid they have in there cafe" " The only reason I asked for a hybrid was to use the hybrid to strengthen my pack....... that's a story for another day" " Let me introduce myself to you...... I'm Alex Walter.......the strongest Alpha alive and sometimes I grow sad because I've not been given a mate....." " MATE MATE MATE.........my wolf screamed, trying to break through, but I had to control myself as Adrianna was with me. I looked deep into her eyes and she looked lost ...I doubt if she knew I was her mate. " "My wolf grew angry at the thought and I calmed down again." " Adrianna asked her if she was the unwanted child but all she did was to stare and I grew angry immediately." " Why can't she see that I'm her mate?.......she was so lost staring at Adrianna and that got me angrier, I couldn't control myself.......I slapped her........she looked shocked and I saw her flinched in pain,tho it hurts me,I only wanted to make her see that I'm her mate but she couldn't see again, I got angry and slapped her hard again" " Take her away", I ordered the guards and they dragged her inside. I turned back and saw that she couldn't even walk properly......I needed to clear my head, I thought, and walked away, leaving Adrianna alone. But she followed me. I thought of going into the woods to clear my head but instead I found myself following the guards........I saw them throw her into the prison and she became unconscious and that angered my wolf as it broke free. "I howled and charged towards them ,it didn't take me about a minute before I ripped their heart off." " MATE MATE MATE......I screamed, not minding if Adrianna was there or not.....I returned to my human form and carried her gently to my chamber." " I laid her gently on the bed and used the duvet to cover her, heal fast Mate I whispered as I stared at her beautiful face.......I gently removed the hair that covered her face, preventing me from seeing her clearly.......she looks afraid even in her sleep " " Alex!!!! Adrianna yelled and my wolf growled.....how come ....just within five minutes I didn't care about Adrianna again....I had always thought she would be my mate but I'm waiting for the moon goddess to confirm it for us" " Reject her.......... she's broken" she yelled and that provoked my alpha wolf, I held her neck and dragged her out of the room so that we wouldn't wake Selena up. "No one!!! No one insults or hurts her" I yelled and Adrianna flinched....."I know she was shocked because I've never gotten angry at her before, but I didn't care. I dropped her loudly on the floor and dashed to my chamber........I need to know her better" " I'm so gonna kill those who made you like this" I said with full determination and my wolf growled in approval. " Please Father......I don't want to go with them....I don't care if you wipe me all day.......I swear I won't cry or scream but don't let me go with them" she mumbled, obviously scared. " Father nooooo" she shouted and jumped....I held her against my chest, preventing her from running off because I knew she must be having a bad nightmare. " It's okay Selena.... it's okay Mate" I whispered softly as I caressed her hair and she slept off in no time. The urge to mark her was really strong, but I don't want to do anything against her will, especially when she's traumatized. I want us to enjoy it. I placed her down gently and my wolf growled when it noticed the presence of an intruder. " They're here" my beta said, but I gave him a reply. Instead, I dashed out of my chamber, changing my way. Of course, he didn't need anyone to tell him, I was ready for war ..... " No ...you watch over Selena" ..I said and he bowed . "Let's go", I commanded the other members and we dashed out into the bush ready to kill the Intruders.
