THE TERRIFIED MATE

Chapter 2

Alex's POV

"Let's go!" I commanded my members as we dashed into the wood to kill the Intruders.

"They're Robert's men boss", Oliver, my Omega, reported to me.

"Spare none of them". I ordered

" I think we'll invade their kingdom soon, Robert is daring me."

" Ahhhhh....I scrowled loudly and my voice could be heard throughout the wood. I knew that must have scared them off because I was the last person they were expecting to fight them, as everywhere grew silent"

" Rrr rrrr I scrowled silently, sniffing around to get their scent, but it was faint, meaning they'd ran away. "

" I know that the next time they are coming, Robert will be coming with them. Well, he will see that as an opportunity to take me down, which is not possible, especially when I have a mate now."

" My alpha wolf roared angrily at the thought, she should be awake now.......He said to me and I growled" I'm responding."

" Let's go guys", I commanded them and we left the wood.

" I ran as fast as my legs could carry me so that I'd get to see my Mate"

" Oh yes, I know that I did wrong by slapping her but I couldn't control my wolf and I actually regret it now!"

" Is she awake? " I asked Peter, my beta, as soon as I entered my chamber, changing into my human form.

"He bowed and stepped aside without uttering any word''

" My anger took control over me as soon as I saw the scene happening in front of me "

""*Ahhh rrrr'......I roared angrily and dashed forward.

Selena's POV

" I woke up with a throbbing headache. Yes it was as a result of the injury I sustained when the guards threw me in the cell, though the wound has healed up, I feel some pains."

" Where am I?" I suddenly asked myself when I realized that I wasn't in prison again.

"Wait what......am I hallucinating as a result of the injury? " I looked around to be sure of where I was and I realized I was in a room.

"Did someone rescue me from Alex?" I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer.

"Hey witch!" Someone called me, jolting me out of my world, and I turned back to see who it was.

" Oh yes! Your thoughts are as good as mine. It was no other person other than the lady who asked me if I was Selena. She was with The Man then."

" Thinking of the man now, I felt my heart skip a beat when I remembered how he slapped me.....it hurts my heart and I don't know the reason, it had better not be what I'm thinking"

"A sounding slap brought me back to reality......are you not going to talk?.........are you going to continue to keep quiet........huh.....what the hell do you think you are.......do you have any idea of when I've been waiting for the moon goddess to confirm me as Alex's mate but you came in and spoilt everything.........if you think you can have Alex then you're wrong cos I'm going to kill you" she shouted with so much hatred and anger visible in her voice

Before I could know what was happening.....she had changed into her wolf form. What surprised me most is that she's an Alpha!

" I dare not fight an Alpha because I could lose my life while fighting,my soul is weak and I need my Mate's kiss to strengthen me and I can't even get my power if I don't love my mate before kissing him."

" So yes! I'm powerless right now."

" Before I could say Jack,she jumped on me, scratching me everywhere......she held my throat and was about to rip it off when Alex entered and all my body shook!"

" MATE MATE MATE!!!!!!" My wolf growled.

" Mate?" I mouthed before looking at the woman who was about to kill me.

" Is this what she means?" Alex is my mate but who's she ?

" Just when I thought she would rip my throat off, Alex charged at her and changed too.

" The scene was so bloody but I passed out, so I didn't know who won."

" WHY IS LIFE SO UNFAIR TO ME?"

Adrianna's POV

" I can't believe the demented witch is Alex's mate and not me?"

I grew so jealous of her that the only thing I want right now is to kill her.

" I can't believe Alex stood up against me for her". I can see the desire to mark her, but I'll prevent it even if it means charming Alex.

" I'm his mate and not anyone else. I plan to execute my plan as soon as Alex leaves the palace..... I'd kill her with no hindrance but I was disappointed when Alex entered in the middle of the execution......I was about to rip her throat off when he entered and he changed and charged towards me immediately"

" I had to let her go to face Alex. Alex scratched my face, not minding we're lovers, and threw me outside.......even though we're both Alphas ,he was stronger than me..

I had to run to avoid being killed."

" I'll surely be back Alex....." I screamed before running off.

" I need to hide because I know Alex won't let me go easily like that and my wounds will take a while to heal "

" Well,well,well, look who's here!" I heard behind me and growled, hoping to startle whoever it was, but my jaw dropped when I saw who it was.

Robert's POV

" I dashed into the woods immediately. My men told me Alex followed his pack to pursue them and I knew that was my chance to get rid of him, but I was disappointed when I didn't meet him there. "

" I had always hated him, even though he's my younger brother, and my hatred for him grew when Arianna chose him over me"

" He was born an Alpha but I had to kill an Alpha to become one...so you should know our strength won't be the same"

" I was about to turn back when I perceived a familiar scent

Wow , Adrianna??

Well well well, look who's here, I said, clapping my hand, but my hands dropped as soon as I saw her hands."

" Who did this to you" I asked, growling angrily.

" Alex! " She said, crying, and I grew weak immediately. Her tears have so much of an effect on me."

" I had to pull her closer and hug her, my body melted against hers and for the first time I inhaled her scent closer"

" What happened" I asked, obviously enjoying the sensation,the way my body was reacting to her touch

" Alex has a mate now!" She explained.

" It's okay....." I said, cutting her short with a kiss and I was surprised she didn't push me away, but she didn't reciprocate.

" Of course, yes, I didn't expect that but I was surprised she allowed me to kiss her considering the amount of love she had for Alex. It doesn't matter anyway."

" You're mine now " I whispered in her mouth, devouring her lips...........

Adrianna's POV

"I growled, hoping to startle whoever it was, but my jaw dropped when I saw it was Robert."

" I'd always known he had a crush on me and I'm going to use that against him to help me fight Alex and Selena, even though he hates Alex more than anyone, but I have to be very careful so that he won't know that I'm using him"

" I felt irritated when Robert kissed me but I had to hide it so I didn't reciprocate. I was grateful he released him."

" Adrianna be mine" he whispered against my mouth, caressing my cheeks and I could feel love in his voice.

" You must be out of your mind, Adrianna" my inner voice yelled at him.

" It's Alex you want, not Robert!" She cautioned me again.

" Hell no, I'm not in love with Robert or anything, but I am just somehow bad cos I'll be using him often because it seems he's sincere."

" Do you want to have Alex to yourself?" He asked, jolting me out of my world.

" Hell no, I just want to get revenge on him, I want to show him I'm not the type of girl he can use and dump anytime", I answered hoping I'd not say anything wrong and to my surprise I saw a satisfactory look on his face, but it only lasted for a second.

" After that?" He asked, looking at me lustfully

Even though it means me giving him my body to have Alex with me, I will.

" Then...... We can be together" I replied, walking closer to him seductively, closing the gap between us and he grinned.

" Let's go" he said and put his hand on my wrist, taking me to his palace.

Robert's POV

" Even though she didn't kiss me back, I really enjoyed the kiss, her lips tasted so more delicious than the bitches I'd kissed in the past."

" Be mine" I whispered against her mouth, but it seemed she was lost in her thought as her face held no emotion

" Do you want to have Alex to yourself?" I asked her.

" Hell no, I just want to take revenge on him, I want to show him I'm not the type of girl he can use and dump." she replied and I was satisfied with her answer. I thought she wanted to take revenge on Alex using me

"After that?" I asked her again to be sure of her feelings. I mean she just allowed me to kiss her. Does that mean she wants us?

" Then we can be together" she answered brilliantly and walked closer to me, tempting me with her hot body. Hmmm I moaned softly..we need to calm down, I thought.

" Let's go" I said, and held her waist and led her to my castle.

Of course, since I killed an Alpha because I was jealous of Alex, dad had banned me from his palace before he died, so I had to build a new castle for myself with the help of my pack.

"Welcome your Majesty" everyone chorused and bowed as soon as I entered with Adrianna.

I could hear a lot of murmurs and I was ready to declare Adrianna as my wife. That's the only way I can trap Adrianna and be sure she won't betray me.

No , don't blame me, I know she's really in love with Alex, so I doubt if she is actually planning to hurt Alex or his mate, so I need to wed her"

" Listen attentively everyone,as many of you have known that this is Adrianna Alex's ex-lover. Yes! She's an ex-lover now because she's no longer with Alex '' I announced, raising my hand .

" I hereby announce to you with happiness that we'll be getting married in three days' time and the preparations will be starting now" I announced, and looking at Adrianna and I could see she was shocked, but she was trying to compose herself.

" Well, I can't lose two things. I can afford to lose to Alex, but I can't afford to lose Adrianna. I don't even care about Alex again as long as Adrianna remains my wife."

" We need to talk," she said sharply, and walked out.

I watched her in excitement as she swayed her ass as she moved out. I stood up from my throne and followed her.
