Rhett Rotten fish and ash filled my mouth. I smacked my lips, trying to get rid of the taste. But the foul liquid coated the inside of my mouth. No matter where I moved my tongue, it was there. Hushed whispers surrounded me, and I blinked my eyes open. The light was too bright, even as I squinted. My throat vibrated as I groaned, closing my eyes again.
