Jamie
"Good job Ivan! you almost made us all cry" Nate said while grinning.
"Hey! it was only a matter of time. Everyone was soo tense and distracted especially Jamie here. As for Coach, once he started going on and on about the games and scouts I knew something was up. He prefers to take a more "no pressure" approach, if you get what I mean". Ivan explained.
"Are you sure you aren't a therapist in disguise or something?" I asked him a little surprised but grateful for what he did.
"Ummm...no". He replied while Nate just watched amused before he piped in.
"Soo...I think the next thing for us to do is head to the party right? except for you Jamie".
"Yep". I replied.
"Still on this Sarah issue Jamie?". Ivan asked.
"Yep". I said again.
"So what are you going to be doing in the mean time?". Ivan asked while smiling. Infact almost laughing.
"I don't know". I just said. "Cooking, Cleaning, reading, sleeping, gaming, workout, maybe even hang out with the girls. Endless possibilities". I said with arms stretched towards the sky and the both of them snickered.
"Boredom is what I see in your future". Ivan said in the middle of his snickering. "You don't have to put your life on hold cause of some clingy girl". He said again this time with a scoff.
"I know, but that girl is crazy. All the rumours and plans she's made, I most definitely have to be careful". He nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders when I made my point.
"I see it as a popularity stunt though. She tried it with me, Nate, heck even some dudes from the basketball team, volleyball team and even the mathletes". Ivan was laughing while putting out that list and so was Nate.
"Yeah! I remember that, one of the few times she gave little Jamie a break". Nate chimed in.
"Stop mocking me". I said while laughing too, but it just seemed to make us laugh even more.
"Just be careful with her though". said Nate.
"and while being careful, don't put your life on hold and live in fear cause of her". Ivan added.
"Yes Uncle Nate and Uncle Ivan". I said while I rolled my eyes at them.
"Huh?"
"That's right my boy". They both said at the same time before we got to my car.
I unlocked it and got in the driver's seat.
"Wait, where are the girls?" Nate asked while Ivan looked at me all confused.
"Why are guys acting all weirded out that they aren't here? The three of us aren't tied to the hip, we have separate lives". I said matter of factly.
"Nah...it's just that it's always been you and the girls". Nate said.
"You guys make it look like we don't spend time together or i'm their dad or something".
"You might as well be". Ivan muttered and Nate laughed.
"Anyways, I told them to go without me cause I didn't know how long we'd be with coach".
They both "ohhhh"ed while I rolled my eyes. The topic changed and we talked about how we wanted the rest of the school year to be for us for majority of the ride.
