Prologue: Legend of Thornhill - Jenny's Crown
1000 years ago in the western United Cities Republic. While they were still at war, used to be a rose field. The field was also used as a border between the 2 enemy tribes Stork and Laster.
Storks' leader had a daughter Jenny betrothed to his friends' son in eastern part of their land, Jernica. 7 days before going to Jernica Jenny fellt so lonely and sad so she went to the Rose Field and met Jake, the son of Laster's leader.
They fell in love. Their love consumed them. Even though their tribes had been at war for generations and they knew that if they would get caught they would probably be executed for treason. Yet their love for one another was stronger than the fear they had from their tribes.
On Jenny's last night before going to Jernica Jake didn't show up. She started to get worried about Jake. She waited and waited for hours, but Jake wouldn't come. She realised Jake will not show up and heartbroken she head back to the castle.
Every couple steps she turned around hopping to see Jake. When she saw a horse comming her way she jumped from joy, only to be heartbroken again when she found out the man riding the horse was not Jake. It was a man form Jakes' tribe that had come to give Jenny the message from Jake:
"Jakes' father learned about your affair in the Rose Field. Jake tried to explain to him that he loved you but that only made his father angrier which led to him beating his eldest son and locked him in the dungeons as a punishment for bringing shame to his tribe. He can never be seen with you again."-then he hopped on his horse and headed back.
Jenny didn't know what to do, she slowly sat on the ground and started crying. When the Sun rose she picked a flower and with its thorns she cut her wrist. One cut after the other and soon she didn't have the strength to cut or do anything else. Jenny fell down to the ground and quite soon she was covered in her blood.
From her blood all the roses died and their thorns grew bigger making a big wall between the tribes. Centuries of trying to cut the wall of thorns passed until one day the thorns slowly fell down and the two tribes decided to stop their useless, blood shedding war and finally join their houses like their ancestors once tried before them. They made a promise to each other that they will be together 'now and always' Later on they found Jenny's' golden crown which is now safe underground Thornhill.
