Meets and Greet

Everyone sat in awkward silence just staring directly at Alpha Marcus who had a smug look on his face. Sitting comfortably on the chair provided for him with his legs crossed. He cleared his throat and finally spoke up. “It's nice to see us all sitting together and staring at each other" He smiled

Alpha Wolverson turned his attention to Liam who was still standing, leaning against the wall. “Give us the room Liam. This is wolf business" He said to him.

Liam scoffed silently, wondering why he too was still standing there knowing how it was gonna end. “Of course, I wouldn't want to interfere with my family matters" He quipped before exiting the room.

“And that must be the human son of yours" Alpha Marcus chipped in after observing the scene.

“Why are you here Marcus?" The Alpha asked abruptly

“Alright..." Marcus started “Truthfully, I'm just here for introductions. I'm the new Alpha of Nightmoon pack after my brother"

“Yeah I heard....tell me again what happened to your brother?"

“That's not the issue here right now. I just thought it would be respectful for us to meet formally...that is, before the claiming ceremony of course" Alpha Marcus replied

“Yes you're right" Alpha Wolverson agreed

Bobbing his head slowly as though contemplating what to say next, Alpha Marcus sighed and shrugged, standing up from his seat. “Well, that's my only reason for coming" He smiled

“Well thank you for your visit" Alpha Wolverson stood up, extending an handshake.

“Of course. And thank you for your hospitality. I hope we only see next at the claiming ceremony....oh! And before I forget, I found my Luna. She's from your pack. I thought you should know" He stated, accepting the handshake.

“Really? And who's she?" Noah asked curiously

“You'll have to wait till the Claiming ceremony to see her. I'll be claiming her then. Until then, stay safe. You look ravishing Luna" He concluded as he began heading toward the door with his Betas.

As soon as she heard the door close following their exit, Katherine swiftly turned to face the Alpha. “Do you think he knows we have something to do with his brother's death?" She questioned

“I don't think he does yet" He replied

“If he finds out, we are gonna have a war on our hands. He seems worse than his brother" Noah added

“Yeah he is"

“You are not suppose to just say yes immediately! I mean this is huge. You don't even know if that is what you want" Karen quarrelled, pushing a lock of her blonde hair away from her eyes and continued staring Intently at Emma who sat across from her in the booth.

“How do you know what I don't want?"

“I don't, but do you?" She questioned

“I know I love him" Emma replied with a mouthful of milkshake

“Alright, you might love him but I still think you shouldn't just rush things with him" Karen pointed out

“Yeah I know. The Claiming is gonna happen at the Claiming ceremony anyway, so there's still enough time to understand what I want" She shrugged

“I guess so" Karen agreed. “And that his brother you were talking about on the phone. He sounded hot" She added, sounding excited with a wide grin on her face.

“Yeah, I have to admit, when i saw him, he wasn't what I was expecting at all. He isn't the Liam I remembered. Not physically at least" Emma replied

“I have to see him...you're making it sound good" Karen smiled

“...oh I think you just might..." She stated, staring intently at the door of the diner behind Karen. “He just walked into the diner" She pointed out

Karen turned, looking over her shoulder and easily spotted what Emma was talking about. “Is that him? Oh my God" She whispered and just then Liam spotted them and began walking toward them. “Oh God he's coming" She turned facing Emma swiftly.

They both sat in awkward silence, trying to communicate with their eyes as they waited for him to get to where they were. “Hello ladies!" Liam greeted with a warm smile on approaching their table.

“Hey! Liam!" Emma replied with a high pitched tone as though she was surprised to see him. “What are you doing here?" She questioned with a smile that was getting more creepy with every passing second she maintains it.

“Hummm...I'm gonna say I'm here to get some food. Which is what they serve here, is it not?" He quipped accompanied with a grin.

“Yeah, sorry...that was a dumb question" Emma replied now feeling embarrassed.

“It's fine" He laughed

“Hi, I'm..."

“Karen..." He completed her statement “It's good to see you" He added, shaking hands with her gently.

“I didn't think you would remember me"

“Of course I remember you. I wouldn't forget a face like yours. I pretty much know every member of my father's pack"

“Really?" Emma chipped in

“Yeah I'm kinda good with faces that way" He shrugged

“Well welcome back home" Said Emma

“It's good to be back. You know we should all hang out sometime. You ladies, Noah and I and catch up with each other's lives" He suggested

“Yeah that would be nice" Karen agreed

“Yeah it will" Said Emma

“Lovely...now let me let you get back to your day. Bye" He concluded, walking away.

“Oh...my...God" Emma mouthed, burying her face in her palms.

“Wow! You were right. He's nothing like the Liam I remember. He's definitely gotten sexier and more built. I mean you can see his hardened pecs even with his shirt covering them" Karen explained with a curious look.

“I know"

“Are you sure he's still human?"

“Yeah. Maybe it runs in the family"

“Yeah you're probably right. Noah has gotten sexier recently. He's cute too....and what are you doing talking about Liam's body with me? You're with Noah remember?" Karen questioned jokingly

“Yeah I know. It's just surprising that's all. Not like I'm gonna do anything with Liam. I love his brother and I don't see him that way. But you can go for him if you want. I mean you do need a man anyway, not like you've seen your mate" Emma smiled

“Believe me I would love to go but he's human and I hope to find myself a mate on the night of the claiming ceremony" She replied “But I guess it doesn't stop me from having any fun though"

“Huh! Quit being a slut" Emma rolled her eyes

“Not everyone has the opportunity of being with the Alpha's son. I mean you have secured your mate. Your life's basically planned out. Speaking of which, I thought you were seeing him today?"

“Yeah we are hanging out later today. Until then I have some time to kill" Emma replied and resumed with her milkshake.

Liam knocked softly on the door, clutching the takeout bag with his left hand tighter. He knocked two more times and when he didn't get any response also, he proceeded to turning the doorknob and as expected it was unlocked.

He pushed the door open, walking inside slowly and eye searching to avoid being caught by surprise. “Hello!" He called out continuously till he got to the living room. He dropped the takeout on the table and his attention was caught by the photo hanging on the wall.

He kept staring at the picture. It was the only photo he has of himself as a baby. He started smiling unconsciously. Having had a fill, he turned to search the house some more. “Jesus!" He shouted, startled heavily as he came face to face with Helen who had a creepy and angry look on her face. “Damn it! You scared me half to death" he stated, gradually getting himself back.

“Where the hell have you been?" Helen questioned, crossing her arms and trying to look as tough as she could. “It's been years since you left for college and when you finally graduated you decided to not come home too" She quarrelled

“Awwn...she misses me" Liam joked, opening his arms for a hug “I missed you too" he added

Helen stared at him for some more seconds. She knew she couldn't be mad at him. She gave up her poker face and hugged him. “Welcome back"

“I would love to say it's good to be back but you know I would be lying" He replied, still holding her in a hug.

“Yeah true. Alright with the hug, continue any longer and you would break my bones" Helen quipped

“You're getting old Nona" He broke the hug

“Of course I'm getting old. I'm in my sixties and I'm human" She replied, going for the couch closest to her. “I'm not like your family, I don't have their kind of long life"

“What are you talking about? You are my family" Liam picked up the takeout and handed it to her. “I got you your favorite"

“Thank you, you remembered. So tell me, how's everything been at home since you returned?"

“Pretty much the same. Although I think there's something else going on.... father is acting more strange than usual" He explained

“I guess it's pretty normal then" Helen shrugged

“Yeah except for the fact that Noah's gotten himself a girl he's gonna claim as his mate"

“Well that's nice. Do you know the girl?"

“Yeah. When we were kids she use to come to the house all the time with her parents whenever there's a pack meeting or something. Her name's Emma"

“Well good for him. You on the other hand need to find someone too. You're getting older now. You're done with school. You need to get yourself a girlfriend" She advised

Liam sat down on the chair closest to him. “I'm not even thinking about getting down with just one girl right now, or falling in love and stuff. It's more fun this way. I'm not ready for love"

“No one's ever ready for love and trust me, it's gonna come for you soon. No one's spared of it"

“Well until then. I think I'll just keep doing my thing" He heaved a deep sigh.

“Alright. So tell me about school, your experience and all. I wanna hear everything" She said with curiosity in her voice.

Emma closed the curtains and walked away from the window and back to the bed. She climbed into the bed, straddling Noah who lay still on his back. She maintained her position ontop of him as she leaned closer to him, planting a deep kiss on his lips.

She broke the kiss and sat up, still ontop of him with just few pieces of fabrics preventing their bare bodies to be sliding against each other. Emma had her black panties on and Noah's sleeve shirt which she buttoned just the lower part, exposing a good part of her breasts.

She ran her fingers down Noah's chest to the waistband of his briefs and then took her gaze back to meet his. “So what's the deal with Liam? I sensed some tension during dinner when he came back from school" She asked, maintaining her gaze on him.

Noah sighed, sliding his hands up her thighs. “Liam is just this whole other person. He tries so much to act different from his family. He has never agreed with any of our ways in the family. He doesn't agree with father and acts like his better than everyone else. Personally, I don't think he's a bad guy...I just think he feels left out and different being that he wasn't born with the wolf gene. So he tries to rebel and make everyone feel he's better than them. He's basically just a troubled kid" Noah explained, not knowing if he was just making it up or saying what he believed.

“Wow! He sounds like he's gonna be a complicated person" Emma pointed out

“Yeah...best you just avoid him as much as you can and make very little conversations if you do run into him" Noah advised

“Yeah, yeah of course" Emma muttered, absent-mindedly nodding to Noah's warning as she was in her own thoughts, comparing what Karen said with what Noah just said and concluding to find out for herself from Liam himself.

Noah gave a fulfilled smile. “Now, where were we?" He grinned, rolling Emma to her back. She began giggling loudly, struggling with Noah.
