His Restaurant

Just like she is doing it so far these days, Diana came home late and went to bed right after taking her bath. She could not believe how long this week was for her. So many things had happened and now finally tomorrow will be the weekend. She will only have to do her Saturday shift at the restaurant and that will be all. She can then take a long nap on Sunday without any worry. 

Diana woke up late then her usual time. Fortunately her father and grandmother had left the house after having their breakfast early, because they had to visit the hospital, her grandmother had an appointment with the cardiac surgeon. Diana went into the kitchen and found both Edward and Lucy there.

"Hey there, what are you guys cooking together?" Diana sat on their dinning table's chair and asked.

"Diana I dare you to miss today's lunch, Mama is cooking chicken potpie with mushroom pasta and for dessert she is baking brownies only for you." Edward said while chopping the mushrooms happily.

"You don't have to worry Edward. I am not going anywhere until all the brownies are not gone." Diana replied and started helping them as well.

 When Liam and grandmother came back, they ate the lunch quietly. Diana and Edward watched a movie together and then Diana went to her room to get ready for her evening shift at the restaurant. After that she went to the subway station and reached the restaurant on her usual time.

Alex came back to his house, right after dropping Diana at the subway station. He went straight to his room after ordering one of the maid to bring him his coffee. He was sitting on his working desk and was reading the documents, he started thinking about everything that had happened, he could not understand that why is she the only one about whom he is thinking, since the day they collided, she is somehow in his mind all the time. After staring at the desk for a while and sighing, he resumed the work he was doing before.

The next morning, Alex woke up and had his breakfast with his parents. He then hung out with Josh at their private sports arena.

"I don't understand why are you so obsessed with guns, they are so boring?" Josh asked Alex while casually sitting on the couch near the gun practicing area.

"I don't know, I just like to hold them in my hand." Alex replied while shooting the last bullet in his M-9 pistol.

"They make me feel powerful." Alex said seriously while putting his  M-1911 pistol and the other gun he was holding before, back to there placing.

"Dude sometimes your attitude scars me to the core." Josh said while looking at Alex, who was looking terrifyingly dangerous.

"Don't worry, this attitude is only for those, who do not listen, when I talk to them nicely." Alex said while taking off his leather gloves, they left that place after a while in the evening.

Alex came back to his house and got ready to leave with his father for the checking visit at their restaurants, he wore a navy blue suit with black formal shirt. 

They paid visit to three restaurants, and now they were going for the fourth one. Alex was listening to the chief manager who welcomed them with a warm smile. When he noticed someone, she was there, at first he could not understand but when he did not stop staring, she also looked at him. She went still and started staring into his eyes as well, but she went away when someone called her.

"Dad I have seen someone I know, I am going after them, it will take a while, I will catch up to you later, please leave without me after you are done." Alex said quickly and walked into the direction where she went. After looking around for a while, he found her, she was talking to someone who looked like as if he was some assistant manager. He was looking unsure to give her an answer but after a while the manager nodded his head and then Alex saw the most beautiful smile of his life. He just stood there still, even after she went somewhere again. He again followed her, and was able to catch her this time, he tapped her shoulder lightly, when she was serving some dish to the customer.

"Hey, Diana, What are you doing here, didn't you saw me there?" Alex asked politely.

"Diana you can not talk..." The manager from earlier came and started saying something but stopped mid-sentenced when he saw Alex standing there.

"Oh! sir, it is so nice to see you here, I didn't know you were coming today for the visit." The manager said nervously.

"Okay, no problem and since I am here, I would like you to arrange a table for me and Miss Diana now." Alex said to the manager in a dominating tone and within seconds the manager was gone. Alex then turned his head towards Diana, she was staring at him with a weird expression on her face.

"Alex, I am working right now, I can't sit with you and do gossips, besides do you know our manager? He talked as if he knows you." Diana reasoned him and asked her question with a curious face. Alex chuckled lightly after hearing this.

"Diana someone else can do your job and my father is the owner of this restaurant's business chain, so for sure that manager knows me. I am going on a business trip with my father this Monday, can't you spend some time with your friend before that?" Alex said with a pleading face.

"Look I don't want anyone to do any extra work because of me, besides I have just asked the manager to let me leave earlier, I have to help my brother with some of his work, please try to understand." Diana replied while having nervousness on her face. Alex stood there silently while looking into her eyes.

"We can't do anything about it then, but at least give me your number so that we can chat or maybe talk on calls sometimes." Alex said after a long pause and took his phone out from his coat's pocket.

"Fine....... here you go, are you satisfied now?" Diana saved her number in his phone and said while returning it to him.

"Way much more satisfied than you can even imagine, bye Diana." Alex said with a grin on his face while looking at his phone's screen and then he left after giving Diana a handsome smile.
