Alexander's business trip

On Sunday night, Alex packed his suitcase for the trip and sat on his bed. He picked up his phone and searched Diana's number in it, he stared at her number, he had called her yesterday but she did not pick up her phone. He started thinking. Why am I so curious about her? it's not as if she is the only girl for him. He asked to himself. He gathered some of his courage and dialed her number again, she didn't pick the call at first. Then he called her again, after three beeps she picked up.

"Hello, Diana its me, Alexander." Alex said slowly.

"Oh, hey, how are you?" Diana replied.

"I am fine, I called you yesterday but you didn't pick it, I am leaving tomorrow, so I thought, I should call my friend before going onto that trip." Alex said while sitting on the sofa.

"Um...I am sorry Alex, yesterday I was busy with my brother, after coming back from the restaurant, I was with him the whole time, he wanted some help in his chemistry project. I got a bit tired after that and went to sleep without checking my phone." Diana replied while sitting on the mat in her room.

"Okay, no problem, but why did he need your help? and how many siblings do you have? Do you also live with them?" Alex asked.

"I only have one younger brother, he always comes to me whenever he is unable to understand something and both of us live in our parents house, what about you?" Diana answered him and asked.

"But how old is your brother? and I am my parents' only child, I also live with them." Alex replied.

"That's must be nice for you and my brother is almost eighteen, his name is Edward." Diana replied.

"You think. Hey were you and Stephanie friends before your university started?" Alex asked yet another question.

"No, it was my first day of friendship with her, which your friend ruined, pretty nicely." Diana replied with small cheerfulness in her voice.

"And I had apologized to you about that, Josh is like that, he is not a bad person, he is just bad at guessing people's personalities, I think." Alex replied and chuckled at the reminder of his friend's character.

"Okay, I will believe you this time." Diana answered and there was silent after that, for a while.

"At first, when you scolded me for trying to start a conversation with you, I thought that you were just like the others but when you scolded my friend and that time when you also apologized for being rude to me, you changed my thoughts for you completely, you are one unique girl." When he was saying this, his voice was so deep that it made her heartbeat raised and she got still, no one has ever said something like that to her.

"Diana, will you go out with me on lunch, so that we can spend some time together, once I am back?" Alex asked. 

"Okay, I will." Diana finally said after sighing.

"Thanks a lot, I really mean it. Its late now, you must be tired, I will call you when I will reach there, good night." Alex said lastly after getting lost in his thoughts.

"Have a safe trip, good night." Diana said and cut the call.

Alex did not understand what just happened, he could not believe that all of it was real. Her sweet voice was still echoing in his head, his heart was beating fast and then Diana's face came into his vision. Her long beautiful hair, those long lashes which protected her greenish grey eyes perfectly and how can he ever forget those extremely pink lips, she has the most pure smile in the world. At that moment, he discovered something. He has fallen for her and there's absolutely no doubt about it.

On Monday morning, Alex woke up early, got dressed, had breakfast with his parents, then he and Gorge went to the airport and sat in one of their private jet. While sitting on his comfortable seat, Alex's brain started thinking about her again. He thought to himself, how am I gonna spend this whole week without seeing her face? and why on earth is she always in my mind? He was still in his thoughts.

"Hey! What is it? You seems too much deep into your thoughts, is everything okay?" George asked while looking at his son.

"Yes dad, its nothing, I was just thinking about some business stuff." Alex lied.

"Son, if you don't want to share it now, you can do that later but don't forget that I am your dad, you can never lie to me." Gorge said while laughing at his son's shocked face.

"But you know I think the sooner you tell me, the better it will be for you." George teased Alex.

"Yes dad, how can ever be wrong about anything." Alex replied and chuckled lightly.

At night, when he was sitting in his hotel room, he called her and again she didn't pick up. He felt annoyed, she is always busy with something while here he is sitting and thinking about her all the damn time. Then a thought crossed his mind. He knows for sure that he likes her, but what if she won't like him back? Or worse she already have someone, she likes. No she can't do that, I have to do something about it, he felt anger fueling up in his chest.

"Hello, it's me, Alex." Alex said after calling someone on the phone with an angry tone.

"Oh hello sir, I have already send you our company's progress report of this month." The other person spoke nervously.

"You think I would call you myself for something like that? Listen to me carefully, ask one of the best detective of our company to call me, right now, I want to get information about someone and don't tell anything about it to dad." Alex ordered.

After a minute, he send a number and wrote:

"Please accept my apology, sir, if I had done something to upset you and this detective is the best man of our company, his name is Jack, I have already told him about you."

"Okay, Thank you for your service." Alex wrote back and immediately dialed that number.

"Hello, it's me, Alex." Alex said.

"Hello sir, the CEO has already told me about you, how can I help you." Jack asked.

"I am sending you a girl's profile now and I want to know everything about her by tomorrow evening." Alex said.

"Okay sir, I will call you after gathering the information, I won't disappoint you for sure." Jack replied and then Alex ended the call.
