The potion

Jeandres POV

I had to force myself not to go see her today. I can't wait for her to take the potion and feel the same way about me as I feel about her. The day went by so slowly and I prayed to the moon goddess just to make it go by quickly and not punish me as much.

Finally, the party has started and I have to wait upstairs by the west corridor stairs for them to call my name. There are a few guys in front of me talking about how they heard Alpha Barry's daughter had returned and they heard that she is sexy as hell. Ace goes wild in my head as he heard what they had to say about our mate. But I smile to myself knowing that she is mated to me. I close my eyes and I see yesterday in my head as if it was a movie. When we arrived back from our trip I saw her walking towards the forest. I followed her from a distance and I hide behind a tree when she discovers the waterfall. My favorite place to be since I was little. I saw her eagerly taking off her clothes and getting into the water she truly is a beautiful water fairy. When I was in the water with her I saw that she had such beautiful eyes. One green one blue, in the water it was more visible than she normally was. Her sun-kissed body was as if it was calling out to me and her lips were so inviting. I snap out of my daydream as the guys in front of me start to laugh about something. I move away from them and taking a stand against the wall. After about 5 minutes I heard them calling my name and announcing that I will not be looking for a mate tonight as I have already mated to someone. All the guys lined up and then it was the girls' turn. My heart starts to race and my hands get all sweaty. What the f**k is happening to me I never even felt this way with Jolene. "Next in line we have my daughter Miane, I am sorry guys but she is a no-go. She already found her mate" I hear barry say and the guys that were talking about her earlier expressed their disappointment. I smile as I walk towards the stairs to take her hand. I look up and see my future walking down the stairs wearing the jewelry I had made for her. She has a smile on her face but I can see her nervousness. I take her hand squeeze it lightly and whisper in her ear how beautiful she looks. She blushes at my words and squeeze my hand back we were about to make our way to the ballroom for our first dance when Barry's voice rang through my head again. "Just one more entry that came in late. We also want to welcome him back to our pack after his long visit to the northern packs helping them fight the rogues. Welcome back Justin, he is unmated, and I'm sure he can't wait to find his mate." My brother is finally home after a year. He is my identical brother except for our eyes my brother has brown eyes where I have ice blue eyes. He approaches me and gives me a brotherly hug. I see the disbelief on Mianes face. She's f*****g beautiful in every way. "Miane I would like for you to meet my twin brother Justin." he takes her hand and kisses it softly and even though he is my brother I can't help a slight growl escaping my throat. Miane jumps at the sound of it and I quickly take her hand and reassure her that it is ok. Justin laughs but stops abruptly and sniffs the air he turns around and darts through the men to the stairs mine he growls. His mate is Ruby from the kitchen and I feel how Miane just relaxes next to me I look at her and see a huge smile on her face her eyes full of excitement. She must be friends with her. We walk towards the dancefloor and start dancing. We have seen a couple of wolfs find their mates tonight and it is the most we have ever had at a ceremony. Tonight is going to be a big night.

Miane's POV

We danced for a while and then met up with Ruby and Justin. I like Ruby and I hope that we can be good friends one day. After a while, my grandmother announced to me and Jeandre that it is time to take the potion. We follow her to my father's office where she hands me a small vial with glowing blue liquids inside.

"Before you drink the potion, there is something that both of you need to know. The potion causes excruciating pain for about 5 minutes. The reason for this is the potion needs to alter your brain for you to feel the bond. But I have to tell you that some of the humans and even witches who drank the potion could not handle the pain and unfortunately, they passed away." Jeandre jumps up from his seat, panic visible on his face. "No, no I'm sorry.No way in hell will I let her drink that potion then. I would rather take the chance of being rejected than to see her die." Jeandre was in such a state and grandma tried so hard to calm him down that neither of them noticed that I already drank the potion. Pain shoots through my brain and I scream from the pain I'm feeling. The pain lasted a lot longer than what grandma said thirty-eight minutes to be precise. I don't remember much of what happened during that time all I know is that Jeandre held my hand pleading me to be ok, grandma was in a state of panic not knowing what to do. At some point, my parents joined us in the room my mother crying loudly and my dad comforting her. Then all of a sudden a female voice spoke in my head "Hi there" as soon as she spoke all the pain disappeared. I jumped up in shock "who are you I" asked the unfamiliar voice in my head. Everybody in the room looked at me confused. "Oh, my goddess she lost her memory." I heard my mother crying out. I shake my head at them. "My name is stormy I am your wolf, I have always been your wolf. But the spell that was put on you made me dormant but now I'm free" the voice in my head said. "My wolf" I heard myself say just before I passed out.
