Jeandre's POV

I am still shocked at how things turned out tonight. I have never heard of a witch also being a wolf. But hearing her say mate made my heart pound faster. I make my way down the stairs and wait for my mate to join me. I don't wait for that long when I see her making her way down the stairs with Ruby. She looks breathtaking in her shorts and loose-fitting t-shirts. Every inch of her body is picture-perfect. She departs from Ruby and makes her way to me. "You look absolutely beautiful," I tell her as I take her hand. We all walk towards the beach where everyone is awaiting us. They all go quiet as we near the beach and alpha Barry addresses everyone "The time for the ceremony is finally here. If all of you could just take a seat for us, please." Everyone sits down and anxiously awaits for him to continue. "First of we will start with the acceptance ceremony. As I call your names please make your way to the front." He starts calling couples to the front and so far no rejections have been made. Both Ruby and Justin accepted each other and I'm truly happy for my brother. "Miane and Jeandre please come to the front." I start to get nervous as we make our way down the aisle to where Barry is standing. "Jeandre, you're up first." My hands are sweaty and my heart is beating loudly in my ears. "First before I say anything else, I just want to say thank you alpha Barry and Luna Leila, for trusting me with your beautiful daughter. I Jeandre Hayes accept you Miane Keller to be my beautiful mate till the day I die. May we grow old together." It felt really good accepting her and I could see it felt the same for her. "Now Miane it is your turn, please tell us your decision" she looks at her father nervously and he kisses her on the forehead. "Coming here this summer I never thought my life would change this much in such a short while. To be honest, it is nerve-wracking and scary as hell, but exciting as well. So here it goes, I Miane Keller accept you Jeandre Hayes to be my mate till the day I die." The wave of happiness flowing through me was welcoming. "Now ladies and gentlemen it is time for the bonding ceremony. All the couples, please face each other with your left hand extended to your mate, palms facing up" I counted 13 couples tonight, I think it must be a record for the mating ceremony. An omega walks towards us with a box in his hand, he hands me a small silver knife and then makes his way down the line handing one to every guy. Another omega is standing next to alpha Barry with a box filled with white ribbons made out of satin inside. He goes down the line performing the bonding ceremony. He reaches us and my hands start to sweat again. What the hell is happening to me. I never felt this way before, maybe I'm just nervous because she is the alpha's daughter. "Jeandre, please use the knife to cut Mianes left-hand palm, and then Miane you do the same. Then place both hands together as if you are to shake hands." I can see the silver knife is inflicting pain on her and I feel terrible for being the one to cause the pain. She cuts my hand and I can see that she too is struggling with this part. We clasp our hands together and alpha Barry starts wrapping our hands together with the ribbon. "With this ribbon, I tie your mind, souls, and bodies together. May your blood flow purely through each other. You are now linked to each other for eternity" I physically feel the bond creating in my mind and can't wait to mind link her and just tell her how beautiful she is. "The acceptance ceremony is complete and the bonding ceremony is almost complete. After we finish the bonding ceremony we will proceed to start the marking ceremony. Our ceremony will be complete after that. Now for all the couples please make your way into the ocean submerge yourselves underwater together while undoing the ribbon. This acts as a cleansing of the soul and body so that you both can be pure together." We walk into the water together and I can't take my eyes off of her and I can't help but wonder what she is thinking about. We submerge ourselves underwater and undo the ribbon. She doesn't let go of my hand and I wouldn't want it any other way. We walk hand in hand onto the beach where everyone is awaiting us. I see the proud look on her parent's and grandparents' faces. My night went from good to bad as I see Jolene's angry face as she approaches us. "How could you? How could you lie to me and not reject her? We were supposed to be together forever Jeandre. You ruined my life and you broke my heart. I had to wait until the acceptance and bonding ceremony was complete for you to feel the full effect and now you will feel my pain" It happened so fast I don't know what happened. Before I could say or do anything the b***h stabbed my mate in the chest and ran. I was sitting on the ground with my mate crying, blood bubbling out of her mouth as she took her last breath. I heard Luna Leila screaming over the loss of her child. The pain I felt over losing my mate was immense and I swore to take revenge for my beautiful mate who now was covered in blood. I looked up and saw alpha Barry holding his wife who is sobbing. Grandma Ruth had to sit down and Grandpa Alex rubbed his wife's shoulders while tears are streaming down his face. All the guests were quiet no one knowing what to do. Alpha Barry is the first to speak. "Justin I am sorry to ask you this but please will you get some of your best guys to look for that traitorous she-wolf b***h who killed my daughter I want her alive." Justin walks closer to the alpha. " I already sent them out the moment she ran alpha they are looking for her as we speak. Would you like me to join them?" Alpha Barry smiles at my brother. "You are a fine young man, a great worrier and you will be an excellent beta to your brother one day thank you, Justin. But no you are needed here for now, it's almost midnight and the marking ceremony has to be done at midnight. Alpha Adam would you please continue the marking ceremony I have to take care of my daughter's body." Alpha Adam from the skyline pack agrees and makes his way to the front. "Alpha Barry something is happening," I say as I quickly move away from my mate. Her body is starting to float and her skin is glowing red. Everybody is gasping at the sight of my mate in the air, nobody knowing what is happening. I try to grab her hand but her skin is burning hot. I see the confused looks on her family's faces. "What the hell is happening to her," I ask as I fall to my knees.
