I know what you're feeling

Alaina

I couldn't believe that I had to spend two hours a day in his company knowing what he was capable of. What his intentions were. I knew he and Elijah were friends but I had no idea of the extent of their friendship was for him to assassinate md on the grounds of his damn stupid contract.

I was heading into the devil's den and I wasn't sure If I should get wary or scared shitless.

I knocked on his door. "It's open Alaina come in."

How the hell did he even know that it was me?

I took a deep breath opening the door entering. He looked me up and down and at me. He grinned widely. "Come over I don't bite." He said, still grinning

I gulped dryly and began to walk cautiously over to him. "Take a seat Alaina so we can begin."

“Yes sir."

"Please call me Mason. "

I nodded. "Okay si...Mason "

He smiled as I sat down.

We went through every last detail of the uni's ongoing and outgoings. His hand landed on my knee, squeezing it. I jumped. "Relax Alaina. Were almost done."

I nodded nervously.

We continued until it was finally done, his hand getting higher. I tried to move away but his hand squeezed tighter on my thigh. He leaned forward talking into my ear making me shudder. "I don't understand why he treated you like trash when all I see is an Angel."

I gulped. "Can I go now sir?"

He squeezed my thigh with his nails. "Mason, I told you to call me Mason."

"Can I go now Mason please?"

"Sure Alaina." He answered, taking his hand off my thigh. I'll see you tomorrow Alaina,"

I nodded and was gone.

This happened for the next month. Luca kept telling me to hang in three until he gathered all the evidence he needed. I wasn't sure how much more I could take of that sick twisted bastard in the same room as me coming on to me every chance he got.

That's when he finally snapped and pinned me to the wall. I felt sick my insides were twisting with anxiety. "You have no idea what you do to me do you?"

I shook my head as a no.

"You send me crazy Alaina. I've never felt this before. I'm so f*****g in love with you Alaina. I even ruined that bastard's plans to get rid of you. He knew you would eventually ask for a divorce that's why you were sent here for me to keep an eye on you to make sure you never got that satisfaction and if you did I was to name sure you didn't live to see another day."

I gulped dryly.

"But what I wasn't expecting was a firey young lady thst had her head screwed on, not a dumb bimbo type he would usually go for. He was a fool to look at you like you were nothing Alaina. I could betray you so much better. That's when I decided I wouldn't help him cover up a murder cause he couldn't face been beaten at his own game." Hd said, getting closer. "I want you Alaina so f*****g bad" He said, kissing my neck. That as it I'd gad enough I kneed him in his nuts and he went down my knee crashed into his face breaking his nose. "I will never be yours NEVER!" I said running out of the room.

It's hard to believe in someone

"I'm changing uni's."

"No you can't Alaina we've got him right where we want him."

"I don't care. I've already got accepted at Cambridge"

"You applied for another uni behind my back?"

"I had no choice Luca, you weren't listening, you never listen, that f**k face could've raped me If I hadn't been as quick as I was."

"I would've made sure he wouldn't have touched you."

"Like all the other times? I'm done with this Luca I'm going and that's final."

Someone who's not there

Luca and I haven’t been too great this past year after all the drama at the University. I had decided to leave and finish elsewhere.

I'd had enough of sharing ten hours a week with Mason, I didn't like the way he was looking at me and I certainly didn't like his closeness. He was trying to get to me whenever I was in his company. The last straw came when he pinned me against the door and tried to force himself upon me.

Luca tried to get me to change my mind but I refused, so now I'm studying at Cambridge.

Luca wasn't too pleased with this and made sure I was being watched all the time I was there.

I shared a house with two other girls and boys which didn't please Luca one bit. He accused me of cheating on him and sleeping around. He was becoming more and more like Elijah day by day.

Things finally hit rock bottom when he hit me for the first time and I walked away. I wasn't taking that s**t from no one, not after ELIJAH.

"GET THE HELL OUT LUCA!"

"ALAINA I’M SORRY, I…”

"FINE, BUT THIS ISN’T OVER ALAINA. NOT BY A LONG SHOT." He said, storming out.

I slid down the door crying. "Everything will be okay Alaina " Jesse said, sliding his arms around me hugging me as I continued to cry.

I spent my summer with Jasper crying on his shoulder. I truly thought Luca was different, but I guess I was wrong yet again. I miscarried that summer due to the stress from all the studying and what was going on with Luca.

I hated him for such a long time so much. I did an extra four years of study to keep myself busy and away from him. I had interned at

"Just think about it Alaina, is it too hard to fix the unfixable?"

"We'll leave it at that for now, Alaina, but I need you to think about something else for your birthday.'

"Sure what is it?"

"Once you finish your internship I’d like you to work in my sister company Romero industries. As a Co CEO you've proved many times to me you are worthy of the position. Just think about if akaiba you can do so much for the company. "

“I will, Mr Romero."

He smiled. "Now let's get to the meeting."

I smiled. "Yes sir."

He smiled, chuckling and shaking his head before we made our way out of his office and headed towards the board room where everyone was waiting for the meeting.

Before my internship was over Mr. Romero insisted on going for the P.A. job at Romero industries. I agreed to make Mr. Romero happy.

Yes, my fate had other plans for me. After my final year at university I applied for a job in Romero industries as Luca's dad suggested and that was my biggest mistake.

He grinned at me as I walked through the door couldn't this day get any f*****g better?

"Good morning angel, nice to see you again."

I went for the door.

"The door's locked angel. Please take a seat we have a lot to discuss "

I nodded. I knew I wasn't going anywhere quickly and he knew it sitting there with that sexy grin on his face, the one that had me melting once upon a time, but not now.

He cleared his throat realising I wanted to be the girl I was back in uni. "My father speaks highly of you Miss. Hamilton . I'd like to have you as my Co CEO. I will need to train you up."

"Why are you doing this Luca? You can have anyone, why me?"

"I know, but I don't want anyone else. I want you."

I swallowed hard. He looked at me, his dark eyes illuminated mine. This wasn't good, not good at all.

He smirked again. "I'm sorry Alaina."

I looked at him "Excuse me?"

"I'm sorry Alaina, for everything I never meant to hurt you like that. I've never been a jealous type until you. I should've trusted you and I'm sorry it won't ever happen again."

"You're right and you want to know why? Cause I won't let it."

"Please angel, let me make things right between us again."

"I'm sorry Luca. I can't "

"You will, trust me." He smirked.

Damn that smirk and his handsome face. It has taken me four years to get over him. Now I was right back to where I started.
