Diary Entry - Age 12 - Exploring Hobbies and Passions (Lily)
Dear Diary, Today was such an exciting day! I can't wait to tell you all about it. Well, first things first, my name is Lily, and I live in a cozy house with my mom, dad, and my pesky little brother, Max. Mom and Dad are the best; they're always supportive of whatever crazy thing I want to try. Mom loves to bake, and she's been teaching me her secret cookie recipe. We have baking nights every weekend, and it's so much fun. Max, on the other hand, can be annoying, but I guess that's just what little brothers do, right? He's always trying to sneak into my room and borrow my stuff, but deep down, I know he looks up to me. Sometimes, we play video games together, and that's when he's not so annoying. My best friend, Sarah, is like a sister to me. We've been inseparable since kindergarten, and we share everything. Today, we went on an adventure to explore our town's new skate park. Sarah brought her skateboard, and I borrowed my cousin's old one. It was scary at first, but we laughed so hard when we fell. We promised to practice every day after school until we become skateboarding pros. Oh, and I can't forget to mention our dog, Buddy. He's a fluffy Golden Retriever and the sweetest pup ever. Buddy joined us at the skate park today, and he had a blast running around, chasing after our skateboards. He's like a loyal, furry sidekick, always ready for an adventure. Today's skateboarding experience was just the beginning of our journey into new hobbies. Who knows what we'll try next? Ballet, painting, or even learning to play the guitar? The possibilities are endless, and I'm so excited to explore them all with Sarah and my family by my side. Until next time, Diary! Love, Lily Diary Entry - Age 12 - Excitement for Middle School and Birthday Fun (Lily) Dear Diary, Wow, I can't believe how quickly time is flying by! I just turned 13, and that means I'll be heading to middle school next year. I'm bursting with excitement just thinking about it. Everyone says it's going to be a whole new adventure, and I can't wait to see what it's like. Speaking of my birthday, it was the best day ever! I woke up to the most amazing surprise from Mom and Dad. They got me my very own skateboard! It's this cool blue one with colorful wheels. I couldn't believe my eyes when I unwrapped it. I've been practicing at the skate park every day since then, and I'm getting better with every ride. I had a blast celebrating with Dad too. He's the best at making ordinary days into fun-filled adventures. For my birthday, he took me to the local amusement park. We went on all the roller coasters, ate cotton candy, and even won a giant stuffed panda at one of the games. Dad makes everything so much fun, and I'm lucky to have him. Of course, Mom's amazing baking skills were on full display for my birthday. Her cakes are seriously the best! She made a chocolate cake with a strawberry filling, and it was pure heaven. I could eat her cakes every day, but then I'd probably need to skateboard twice as much to stay in shape! Skateboarding and art have become my new favorite things. I've been doodling in my sketchbook, trying to come up with some cool skateboard designs. It's so much fun to combine two things I love. Maybe one day I'll paint my own skateboard deck with a design I create. And, Diary, you already know this, but Sarah and I are still inseparable. We're like two peas in a pod. She came over for my birthday, and we skated together, had a mini art session, and ate way too much cake. I'm so lucky to have a friend like her. So, as I approach middle school and embrace all these exciting changes, I'm feeling grateful for my family, my hobbies, and my awesome best friend. Life is pretty amazing, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Until next time, Diary! Love, Lily
