The Blue Wolf

(Lylla Reed) ​ 2 years ago when it all began. Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm goes off in the early morning telling me that I need to get up for school the one thing that I hate is school though I have straight A’s and a 4.8 gpa I did well for hating it so much. As much as I didn’t want to get out of bed and go to school I had never missed a day of school and I wasn’t going to start now. ​“Lylla get out of bed right know you have school to get to today.” I heard my mother yell out to me from the end of the hallway from our two bedroom apartment. She knew that I’ve never missed a day of school but with it being today she new that I would need the extra motivation. I climb out of bed put on my t-shirt and jeans that hugged my hips and thighs and flared out at the bottom that went perfectly over my boots. I grab my book bag and head out to the kitchen and see my mother already have a plate of breakfast for me waiting. Eggs and bacon with a cup of coffee my favorite. “Good morning my birthday girl.” ​“Thank you mom” I wasn’t very excited about turning seventeen that day. Especially with what could happen today. ​“I know your nervous honey but it’s a natural thing that happens with it not happening when u turned sixteen we have to be prepared so when school is over you know where to go yes?” My mother looked at me in between mouthfuls of food. My mother was talking about shifting. We are werewolves my mother and I. When a wolf reaches a certain age we turn into our wolves for the first time when we are 12 or 13 we get their personality as a way to prepare us for the shifting I got mine when I was 11 a year earlier then I was suppose to her name was Mica and she was grumbling in my head and just being a pain. “Yes mom I will go to the cabin and wait there till tomorrow evening if I shift any time during that time I can come home afterwards.” I forced out, Mica was making it difficult to speak this morning in fact she was giving me a headache. ​“I know it would be easier with a pack honey but this is what we have to do. I want you to be prepared I wont be able to help you during the transformaission if it happens with work and all.” She says sadly. I know that she regrets not joining another pack after hers was destroyed especially for me but she did it to protect us though. I may not know what its like to be in a pack but she taught me everything about them for when I decided that I wanted to be apart one or if I founded my mate and he was apart one. Me and my mother were considered rouges because we were not apart of a pack and lived in a city away from major wooded areas so we wouldn’t come across any packs but there was one major wooded area near the city that mom had bought a cabin for when I shifted or for when she needed to go for a run. Especially for when she was in the city for to long our wolves were not meant to be kept coopt up for to long. So she bought it for us. So that we would have a safe place to go if we needed to run. Or in my case to shift for the first time which can be Don’t worry your going to be fine. We won’t have to wait much longer we need to be alone for our shift anyways Mica said in my head talking to Mica can be annoying but she was the only one that truly understood me I was a lone wolf in school which was filled with rouges and humans but there was also another school near the edge of the city and the woods that was filled with pack wolves and rouges and it was a private school. Only werewolves could go and other supernatural creatures and my mother never wanted me to go there so I kept away. “That’s okay mom Mica saying that we need to do this alone anyways” I tell her putting my dishes in the sink kiss her goodbye and grab my keys for my car. ​ My car was a Chevy Malibu in the shade of royal blue on of my favorite color and head to school I was not looking forward to this day at all though Mica kept grumbling in my head telling me we didn’t need to go but we went anyways. It was a free day at school basically days were all the teachers were in major meeting and the students stayed in the library or the cafeteria or outside doing school work. But being who I am I had no school work to do so I was just going to go to my tree and read or try to read if Mica would allow me too. I pull into the school parking lot and whom do I see but my enemy in this school staring right at me. It was rouge by the name of Marcus who had already shifted he was 18 and built like a pack of brinks but he was the meanest person you could meet and a man w***e. And he had his eyes fixated on me because I kept telling him no and it wasn’t because I was waiting for my mate but because he made me want to vomit every time he was near. ​ But I did want to wait for my mate so I stayed away from those that wanted just s*x I had dated before but when I turned 16 I stopped because once you shift you can find your mate. And I had wanted to stay true and pure for him or her. I turned in my name for the secretary so she would now that I had been present for the day and head to my tree ignoring the fact that Marcus was stalking me. I pulled my self up to the first branch when Marcus snaked his arm around my ass with his other hand on my breast. Knowing that his head was right behind mine I knocked my head back contacting with his and breaking his nose. I knew he was pissed I could hear him and see that his wolf was trying to surface but I ran. I ran and ran back to the building and straight to the nurse’s office she was one of the good ones she was rouge like me if fact she was in charge of the rouges in the school so innicedents like this wouldn’t happen. I informed her of what happened and she checked me over for bruises and Marcus stormed in threating to have me beaten. Ms. Roger our school nurse was pissed about this “Sit down Marcus, I have already called your pack alpha and informed him of you sexually assaulted another student.” ​ Marcus sat immediately and I was confused because I had thought that Marcus was rouge not a pack wolf. Seeing the confused look on my face Ms. Roger decided to explain .” Marcus here is apart of Dark Moon pack that expanded their territory into the city this school year to offer homes for there older pack members that wanted to live peacefully with humans and sent Marcus out to our school as a punishment for acting up at their private school.” Looking down at Marcus she said sternly, “Alpha Storm will be here soon best to be prepared. Lylla you’re excused for the day.” ​ I left the building and headed to the cabin I wanted to get this day over with already. After a few hours I had made it to the cabin before nightfall but I could feel the moon rising like I have always been able to before but this was different it was like my body had a current go through it. My body started to glow like the moon and I was confused on what was happening but mica told me that this was suppose to happen and to not be scared she new tonight was the night that I would shift and that this would happen. There is nothing to fear you are blessed and special. What do you mean Mica? I can not tell you but she will when it is time. Time to rest we will need the strength for the shift. I lay on the bed and tried to rest but it was hard but soon I drifted into a deep sleep. I dreamed of a beautiful pool of water witch shown with a bright reflection of the moon and there was a women siting next to it with her legs dangling in it. Her long blond hair blowing in the wind and her eyes were the exact shade of grey as the moon. ​“Come child sit down next to me there is much that we need to speak about.” She said her voice was beautiful but you could tell that it had much wisdom in it I sat next to her and dipped my toes in the water barely noticing that I’m wearing a almost see thru dress. Just like hers.” Lylla, do you know who I am?” ​“The moon goddess.” ​“Very good. Your mother has taught you well I do not have much time I appeared to you this way because it was the safest way to talk to you without putting you into danger or myself. There is much that I must tell you and it will take a long time to explain and to prepare you for what is to come. A great battle will happen you will lead on one side of rouges and pack and others and the other side are humans that are not just normal humans but they want to wipe us all out you must be prepared they have already succeeded in wiping out your pack which was the first step in this war so that a king nor a queen could be anoused. Every few hundred years a new kind and queen is selected to govern the werewolves, rouge and pack. I’m sorry that your pack had to suffer and that I was not able to help them, but I am glad that your mother survived with you. I know that you have many questions but we do not have much time your due for a shift and there is something I need to tell you before that. You will meet your mate tonight don’t fear him but don’t give in either and also you are the blue wolf a very special wolf that has not been around in hundreds of years there have been others but not many none live now. Also that you are my chosen on earth the next queen of the werewolves. Now it is time for you to shift I will help you on this end while mica takes over in the non spiritual world then you will wake do you understand.” She asked me I had a million questions but I knew that now was not the time I could feel the pain throughout my body and did not know what to do but the moon goddess placed her hands on me to sooth my pain and slowly I shifted into my wolf. I could see my reflection in the water I was a black wolf with soft mixture of royal blue that rippled in the moon light and on the side of my face I could see marks as I looked more closely I saw swirls on my side that shaped into a moon that shown white and the rest were a crown on my forehead that shown blue. “Before you wake the crown will only be seen in your wolf state but the moon markings are my blessing and will shine in either form. Now it is time to wake my child someone is waiting for you.” She says slowly disappearing. My eyes slowly open and notice a man in front of me I see him shift into a wolf his smelled of wild berries and chocolate. Yum my favorite. He had the same marking on the side of his face. Mate. Mica screamed in my head as she took over and marked him. (Daman Storm) ​After getting off the phone with the Nurse at the school that was in our new territory I informed my beta Andrew that I was heading to the school and that he was in charge until I got back I grabbed my keys and my gamma and headed to the school. My name is Daman Storm I am the alpha of the Dark Moon Pack one of the largest packs in north America at 19 years old I took over my fathers pack that was 5 years ago and ever since we had to keep expanding our territory because other alphas kept challenging me for the right of alpha over my pack I kept wining and gaining more pack members now at 24 years old I rarely got challenged I was ruthless and without mercy depending on the situation and still hadn’t found my mate it was the only thing that was missing. Not that I didn’t enjoy the company of a good women its just that my wolf and I wanted our Luna wherever she might be. ​“Why we here at the school Daman?” my gamma Jason asked me as we pulled into the parking lot of the school as a Chevy Malibu was leaving my wolf Luca got restless as I passed and I ignored it. ​“It seems that Marcus can’t keep his hands to himself when it comes to other females. Apparently he sexually assaulted another student.” I answered him Jason didn’t look to shocked as it was his little brother he new that I had to punish him and probably put him in the cells for a bit depending on if he decided to lie about what happened. I walked into the school spoke to the secretary and was escorted to the nurses. As I entered I closed the door behind me and instantly smell a faint smell of vanilla and rose and jasmine Luca emmedialty perked up and stated Mate was here. Seeing Marcus though I informed Luca that we would find her after I dealt with this rodent. Luca quitted down so I could deal with him but I knew that would only be for a short while. Marcus had gotten up and was by the way when he saw me and his brother walk into the nurse’s office. The nurse had bowed her head as a form of respect she was formerly from my pack but her mate was a vampire so they moved into the city to not cause problems with my pack. “Alpha Storm, Marcus here has a broken nose after trying to sexually assault a young woman.” ​Marcus nose was already healing but smirked when the nurse told me what happened he didn’t regret it one bit. “Damn rouge was asking for it putting her butt in the air.” Jason stormed around me and held Marcus’s thought in his hand against the wall causing him to squirm. “Rouge or not you know better” “Jason please escort your brother back to the pack house and put him in the cell, no food or water for three days until I get to the bottom of this.” Mind-linking him I told him that I would be back later tomorrow. Is everything okay Alpha? Yes Jason I picked up a scent earlier when we walked in her. My wolf says that it is our mate I’m going after her. Yes Alpha I will inform Andrew that you are going after the Luna Good Luck!!! After they left I turned back towards the nurse. “Rebecca was she in her earlier the girl that Marcus assaulted?” “Yes she was and like he said she is a rouge I excused her for the rest of the day she was pretty shaken up when she realized that Marcus was part of a pack. I believe that she though he was a rouge.” Rebecca said to me she could see the pain on my face when she said that she had left for the day “She’s your mate you could smell her in here couldn’t you?” I shock my head yes and wondered how I would find her now. “There’s not much I can tell you about her but I do know I will tell you sir.” She said pointing at the chair in front of me I took a seat. ​“ Her name is Lylla Reed she lives with her mother here in town she’s 17 and has yet to shifted today is her birthday so she might shift here is her mothers address and work address check with her before going after Lylla.” She handed me a piece of paper and escorted me back out of the building looking at the paper I headed to their apartment I walked since I sent Jason back with Marcus. ​It took me thirty minutes to get to Lylla’s apartment I knocked on the door and waited, a few minutes later a petite women opened the door with a smile on her face which instantly fell away when she saw. “Alpha. How can I help you?” ​“Mrs. Reed I’m looking for Lylla I believe that she is my mate.” I said ​“I see, you best come in.” she said holding the door more open with enough room for me to come in. I walked into the apartment and am engulf in Lylla’s scent calming me to my core and making Luca go insane he wanted his mate and he wanted her now. Mrs. Reed walked over to the living room and sat on her couch I could see pictures of Lylla growing up on the fireplace mantle and I smiled at she had been loved. “Well I know that you are an alpha from the smell I would say the alpha of the dark moon pack. “ I was shocked that she could tell that just by my scent. “But what do you know of me and of Lylla?” ​“I do not know much just that she is my mate and that she went to the school that I had a pack member at. The only reason I found out was that there had been an incident at the school that I had to take care of.” I informed her. “Ok. Lylla is my only child she has not shifted she is 17 and will not be home tonight.” I asked her why she would not be home tonight “she is at our cabin so that she can shift she wants to do it on her own but there is something that you need to know myself and her are the only ones left of our old pack she is the daughter of the alpha of that pack, she is a alpha but she is something else and she will need you I can no longer hid her from the dangers that she will face she will need your strength your love your protection. She is going to be hard on herself and on you but do not abandon her for she will not be able to live with out you.” ​“What do you mean? What pack are you talking about?” ​“There is only so much that I am allowed to tell you in order to protect her and you I will have to stay out of what is to come but I will always be here for you both if you need questions answered as a last resort though you both will need to come to terms with it on your own. We were The Moon Light pack. The originally pack direct descendants of the moon goddess herself and my daughter is the only descendent left, which is why I have done everything I can to protect her now I give you my blessing and the duty to protect with everything that you are.” She says a low light emanating from her body as she gets up and kisses both side of my forehead. The moon goddess blessing I had only read about it but never seen it was one of the main purposes of the moon light pack before they were wiped out to bless marriages and over see the orientation of the king and queen of werewolves but we hadn’t had one for many years not since the destruction of her pack as she escorts me out of her home she looks at me and says before shutting the door “You will find her at the cabin follow her scent and you will find her be gentle with my baby she is all I have left.” ​Heading out of the city I start to get a searing pain in my temple and luca howls as we hear a voice in our head Protect her Luca. Damon protect as you you would protect me. I know that I had just heard the moon goddess for the first time in over a hundred years. Well mate I’m coming for you. ​Finding Lylla in the woods is not an easy feet though following her scent was easier out her but with it being day and there are humans out here I couldn’t shift till nightfall, so human way it was. I kept following her scent thru the woods till I came up to a cabin that was all by themselves and the sun was falling I did not want to get in the way so I would way a few hours. I decided that I needed to talk to Andrew for a few before trying talking to Lylla. Andrew you doing good by your lithesome? Yes Alpha everything is good here though when Jason got back I hit Marcus before we put him in the cells I hope that will not be an issue. Are you really after the Luna? ​Yes I have found her. I’m waiting awhile before I confront her I don’t want to spike her. She is different, powerful, special. ​ Mind linking from far distance is not easy but can be done my pack was not far from where we are but not in the border for it to be especially easy though it can be done. My wolf was going insane in my head he new his mate was near and wanted to be close to her, so I headed towards the cabin and knocked with no answer so I slowly opened the door giving Lylla plenty of time to smell my scent or to slam the door in my face. ​When neither happened I walked in to see her lying on the bed in nothing but her underwear and bra her skin was aglow like the moon light and she was in a deep sleep. I could feel my self overcoming with lust and had to adjust myself. Luca we need to calm down we can not take her without her knowing us. ​She is our mate she was made for us.That is not the point luca we need to be patient and give her time to get to know us. My sense’s were overwhelmed with her smell she was all I could think of and this was not how I wanted our first meeting to go I needed to control myself and my wolf from the lust. I look back over at her she had auburn hair that came down to her shoulder blades her skin was radiant you could feel the power coming from her she was beautiful slender features wide hips luscious thighs that I wanted to bury myself in. I smacked my self because these were not thoughts that I do not need to be thinking. As I’m watching her she starts to glow brighter and I wonder what is going on. ​I start to hear bone popping and see that she is shifting but she doesn’t make a noise still sleeping. And I’m amazed that she is even able to shift in her sleep. The first shift is the most painful shift that you have so for her to shift thru that asleep is truly amazing what was even more amazing was her wolf she was beautiful. She was a black wolf with ripples of blue like a really dark blue she had the white markings on the side of her face and a blue crown on her forehead something I had never seen before. She was magnificent. ​I decided in order for her to not be frightened that it would probably be her wolf in control that I should shift and luca be in control but I warned not to do anything yet till Lylla and I could talk and see what she wanted to do. I noticed that her eyes were slowly opening so I shifted. ​When I was done I could see that she was looking at me though there wasn’t much I could do with Luca in control other than talk to him Let her make the first move we do not want to scare her. As I tell him this she rammed forward knocked me over and marked me as her mate. I was shocked her not even a talk and she marked me I was fighting luca to take back control so he wont mark her because I believed that she didn’t mean for it to happen but before I could he had her on her wolfs back and marked her as well. She looked at me with love and fear. Fear I believe because she was scared of what she had done or scared that I would regret what had happened either way I needed to move away from her. As I backed in the corner she rammed thru the door and out of the forest I did my best to follow her. ​I followed her all the way to my packs border and found her there growling at two wolves. Two of my warriors I mind linked them that it was okay and to carry on with their patrol. She continued to growl at them even as they walked away turned around and growled at me I wanted to growl back but I knew that would just scare her more so I just stood my ground. ​Don’t follow me! I heard in my head as she turned and ran. Luca wanted to follow her but I knew that I needed stay away and let her come to terms of it I could feel her confusion and her worry and new that what happened tonight should not have happened. My only hope is that she didn’t reject me. I walked thru my territory to the pack house where Andrew and Jason were waiting for me with clothes. Shifted in from of them I grab the cloths and put them on they notice the marks and looked around with glee for their Luna. ​“She’s not here, she’s confused. I don’t think she meant to mark me yet. She did it right after shifting so her wolf had been fully in control.” I said walking into the pack house and headed straight for the kitchen were an omega had already placed a plate of food on the table for me. Munching on the food I here Andrew and Jason come up to me and start asking questions. “I don’t have any answers for you guys. I will let her be for now and tomorrow I will go and talk too her.” ​“It wont be tomorrow alpha while you were away another wolf from the red rose pack issued a challenge to be done in 1 weeks time and with them being in Wyoming we will be gone for awhile,” Andrew informed we would have to leave tomorrow to get ready I growled irritated beyond belief the boys winced because e they new that my irritation could be lethal sometimes. ​“Alpha where did those marks on your temples come from they were not there earlier today?” Jason asked me. I was confused I went and looked at my face in the mirror at the closest bathroom. I had the same marks on my face as on Lylla’s wolf. They were at the exact spot that I had gotten the searing pain when I heard the moon goddess. When she told me that I was to protect Lylla as if she was the moon goddess. I told the boys everything I knew about it and I mean everything orders were sent out to every pack members to bring any and all material on the moon goddess and the light moon pack. I needed to know what was going on.
