Setting: TAEYANG’s apartment. Night. Dim lighting. A soft piano track plays. The air is quiet — but inside Taeyang’s head, it isn’t.

(TAEYANG is cooking. His hand trembles slightly as he cuts vegetables. Flash of Lee Yeon’s smile from earlier. He shakes his head. Scene cuts: he’s washing dishes. The water runs over his fingers, but his thoughts are elsewhere. Cut: brushing his teeth. His reflection stares back at him blankly. Cut: in the shower, water pouring down, eyes closed tight. Cut: lying in bed, still and awake, moonlight slipping through the window.)

(quietly, to himself)
What is he doing here?
(Silence. The clock ticks.)
TAEYANG
Lee Yeon studies here… but… why this school?
(sits up slowly)
I humiliated him.
(voice lowers)
I called him disgusting.
(He sinks back into the bed, eyes wide open. A beat.)
TAEYANG
Why is he smiling like nothing happened?
(Lights dim.)
Act 1, Scene 7
Setting: Group study room, university library. The project group has gathered around a table. TAEYANG arrives late, avoiding eye contact. LEE YEON is already seated, sipping coffee, casual but alert. The group is chatting. TAEYANG quietly takes the seat farthest from Lee Yeon.

(slight smile)
You’re late, sunbae.
(TAEYANG looks up just once, nods stiffly, says nothing. The others notice but stay quiet. LEE YEON watches him carefully, then goes back to taking notes.)
LEE YEON
(voiceover)
So you’re pretending. That’s fine.
(smirk)
Let’s see how long you can keep that up.
(Later: Group finishes discussion. Everyone stands to leave. LEE YEON waits for TAEYANG near the door. TAEYANG sees him and turns to walk the other way — but Lee Yeon catches up.)

You’re avoiding me.
TAEYANG
(deadpan)
You’re imagining things.
LEE YEON
(smirks softly)
You’re still a terrible liar.
(TAEYANG stops walking, fists clenched, then walks away without replying. LEE YEON stands still, watching him go.)
LEE YEON
(voiceover)
You remember.
(pause)
And it scares you.
