The Forgotten Hybrid Princess

Chapter 11

Checking myself out in the mirror I guess this will have to do I just wish this would finally be over. When I finally made it back downstairs the food was just being put on the table by the house cleaners, it looked delicious, and too much for use to eat but there were my favorite strawberry pancakes scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon, oh, my goodness bacon. Just like my mom use to make me for special occasions, I guess today is considered a special day you only graduate high school once.

As I was sitting there looking at all the food, I had to try my best not to start crying at the fact that my parents will not be here to see this great milestone in my life, but I know that they are watching me from wherever they are. Once we were all done eating breakfast, we were ready for the last couple of hours at school before we would come back home and relive our glory days. We said our quick goodbyes as we headed out the door.

“Kol will you be here for the ceremony”, Lexi inquired.

“No baby girl I still have some classes I have to finish and then I have to go to the office to finalize some papers before we head out on vacation, but I already have the link in my phone so I will be watching from wherever I am. You know I wouldn’t miss this day for anything in the world”, he said beaming with joy.

Giving him a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek before getting in the car heading for the last day of school. The pictures I showed the professor were a total hit, there is a big possibility that I might get in at Westmoore University. West Moore university has the best photography program in the world only the best of the best gets accepted, that has been my dream college since I was 8 years old.

Today is the day since we opted for a virtual graduation, my aunt and Uncle had the whole thing setup on the big screen for us. We sat through the ceremony cheering and waiting for our names to be called since we were not at the actual graduation we had to wait until the end. It was finally that time as they called out each of our names, we sashayed across the hallway in our cap and gowns to make it feel real.

After the ceremony was over and done with, we were just about to head upstairs to make sure that we had packed everything we would be needing for our two-week stay on the beautiful island of Jamaica. I had just picked up my phone about to text Kol when Aunt Tima called us all to the dining hall.

"Girls what are your plans now that you have graduated from high school?" Aunt Tima said smiling.

Lexi and Mo were explaining to them that once the summer was over that we were all planning to go to Westmoore for college that's if we all got excepted and telling them what each of us were planning on studying. They were so excited that we had planned to go to school together that way they would not have to worry about us too much. I was holding off from telling them what I would be studying until I got the official word from the professor. But in the meantime, I was sitting down looking at my aunt and it dawned on me that I never really paid much attention with everything that I have been going through in my life, that Aunt Tima looked just like my mother, the only really big difference is that she is a little lighter, doesn’t have my mom’s dimples and her hair is longer, I almost started crying thinking about my mother. Lexi looked at me sympathetic knowing what I was about to start crying for, so she came and give me a hug.

"Don’t cry Heaven they are watching you from above and they are so proud of you just like we are", Lexi said before turning around to grab something off the table. This was in the attic at your parents place I would have only assumed that they would want you to open it on your graduation day. I started really crying opening the box, it was a gold locket in the shape of a heart, when I opened it there was a picture of my mother and father on the inside, it was the picture that we had taken on my sixteenth birthday, this was the best gift ever.

"Well girls now that I have ruined my mascara crying with you all we might as well give you our gifts", whispered Aunt Tima.

I’m looking over at Lexi and Morgan and they are both looking at me just smiling at me with this evil grin. Auntie walks over with Uncle James and gives each of us a box to open, I wait a little while before opening my box to see what Lex and Morgan have in their box. To my surprise Lexi received keys to a car that I know for a fact that she has always wanted an Audi S5 all black, with all the upgrades, Morgan on the other hand got something a little weird a set of keys, but to what I wonder. "What’s that "? I asked Morgan as I looked at the set of keys she is holding in her hands, she just looked up at me and smiled saying it is a surprise that we will all find out about later on.

So, I didn't press the issues any further knowing Morgan, she would never tell me. So, with that I guess it is time for me to find out what is in my box; I opened the box and a set of keys fell out along with a card. I opened the card first, the card read:

You have been thru so much in the last couple of years we just wanted to make your birthday and your graduation a little more special. We have arranged for the four of you to stay at one of our hotels while you guys are in Jamaica, the keys that you are holding are the keys to your mothers and fathers house just in case you ever want to go back to visit, or move in. There is an extra key on the ring as well if you walk outside, you will see what it belongs too.

Looking up at my aunt with tears in my eyes I give her and my uncle the biggest hug ever and run outside. To my surprise there just happens to be an all-black trimmed with gold Ducati motorcycle with airbrushed pictures of a black and white wolves howling at the moon sitting in the driveway,

"I can’t believe it, I have always wanted one, I screamed walking around admiring the bike in all its glory, and I can’t wait to ride it, but it will have to wait till I get back. Thank you all so much I have been wanting to get a bike for so long now how did you know which one I wanted, I asked no one in particular.

Since we have now opened all of our graduation gifts, we are now finally heading upstairs to finish packing and let me tell we have a lot of bags but only because we will be in Jamaica for the entire summer. Best gift ever! I just texted Kol.

Heaven: Hey where are you?

Kol: hey I was heading that way, but I had to stop by the store.

Heaven: how many bags did you pack for the trip?

Kol: we are only gonna be gone for two weeks, right?

Heaven: you may wanna pack some more bags, graduation gift we will be in Jamaica for the entire summer.

Kol: I guess I’m heading back to the house to pack some more stuff, what time do we fly out.

Heaven: meet us at the airport at 8 tonight, Uncle James is letting us use the private jet!

Kol: I might have to meet you ladies there do not leave without me.

I could tell that he texts that with a small little frown on his face. I don't think any of us had ever been to Kol's house, I didn’t even know if he had any family, I guess this trip will also be a bonding moment for all of us. It’s now 630 and we are heading to the airport all the bags are in the truck we doubled checked to make sure that we had the necessary paperwork that we would be need while we were away, and we are on our way.
