Chapter 8

She was holding me by the collar of the robe, which was a bit strangling; if it were the first time, I would have pleaded, crying for air, but one thing about the three is the more I begged for my life, the more they enjoyed it, and so I just let it be. Instead, I coughed for air.

“I believe she asked you something.” Sienna looked around, her eyes full of disgust; my place was a mess, yes, because with my studies I rarely got a chance to clean.

“How she lives in this filth is what I don't understand.” One of them said as she took out her perfume and sprayed in the air.

So here is how I categorized them: Sienna was the queen bee, of course; she was all three: smart, sexy, and popular. Even in school her grades were average.

The other, her name Britney, was smart, not A-level smart but B-level; she was pretty, delicate, and, of course, popular because she was Sienna's best friend.

Then we have Ruby, the dumb one, the one holding me by my neck. Ruby was strong because she ate a lot; I've seen that. She was not very smart; I don't even know how she passed her exams or how she came to college in the first place, but she was wealthy, and I knew they kept her around for her strength. She's the one who always beats the s**t out of their opps, myself included.

“Speak, b***h. Why did my boyfriend dump me?”

“Sienna, I don't know that; he's your boyfriend. You know he hates my guts.” I was not only trying to save myself, but I really had no idea.

Plus, with the beating that usually followed, I wouldn't think twice but spill if I knew something.

“Don't act dumb; he just took your side yesterday.”

“He needed help, thats the only reason he did that.” I replied quickly, Sienna looked at me for a long moment before she instructed Ruby to punch me in the stomach and Ruby did, she even kneed me like three times before Sienna stopped her.

“Hmm.” I bit my inner cheeks holding in the pain as it shot up my veins like fire. No one gets used to pain, thats all I knew.

“Are you going to speak yet?” Sienna asked and Britney rolled her eyes.

“Don't waste our time; I have an appointment with my therapist.” She said, like I was the one holding them here.

“I know what can make her talk.” Ruby said, and my eyes widened in fear, “a good slap.” Before anything, she freed me and used both hands and smacked my face at the same time. Gosh, the ringing pain in my ears caused me to stumble and fall to my knees as my vision blurred.

Ruby didn't stop there; she stomped on my hand and then started kicking me mercilessly. I didn't even know where to concentrate; the girl was too strong for me, and with my tiny form, it was normal. The pain was ten times as bad.

“f*****g b***h, you think you're better than Sienna?” Ruby asked while still kicking me. Luckily it was my sides this time, not that it wasn't painful; it was hell, like wanting to poop in the middle of traffic, but it was better than my abdomen.

“Axel is the hottest guy in town; therefore, only Sienna should date him.” I heard Britney say it, and Sienna thanked them.

“I love you guys so much.” She faked a small voice that sounded like she was so touched. How I wished they could do that at some other place and not while they were hitting me. “Ruby, that's enough; I'm sure she has learned her lesson.” Sienna said, and Ruby, like on auto, stopped.

“I'll beat anyone for you, Sienna; I eat for you.” Ruby, in her manly voice, said, and I heard Sienna tell her she did a good job before asking her and Britney to leave; Britney couldn't wait to get out of here.

“You dared slap me, do you remember that?” Sienna squatted on her knees to kind of level with me. I didn't respond; I was in so much pain. “Don't ever mess with me.” She warned as she stood straight, and then she jumped me as she left, and as soon as the door closed, I struggled to stand on my feet, despite my pain.

"Agh," I cried, and when I couldn't get up, I crawled to my nightstand, where I got a pill and then took it. Being me, you'd learn to have painkillers at all times because these beatings come randomly, and I always expect them.

I had to take the pill just like that; water was far, and so I used my saliva to swallow it. I stayed in that position for about fifteen minutes until the pain started to numb. I forced myself up and then went to the door to lock it.

If you're wondering why I couldn't just lock the door, the next time Sienna and her maniacs try to come here, they can do anything to beat me.

They even go to the extent of speaking to the dorm controller who had a spare key; they would lie that I was in trouble and sometimes straight-up bribe them. There was no escaping them.

After locking the door, I looked down at my palm and realized Ruby's heel went far this time, as there was kind of a hole and the whole area was red; I needed to anoint it ASAP.

Wiping my tears I went to my nightstand, and just right then my phone rang; someone was calling me, and it was an unknown number.

Hesitantly, I picked up. "Hello?" I prayed it wasn't my father or his new bride because I couldn't deal with either of them right now; in fact, now I was reminded of my mother, how she couldn't be here for me, and how she gave me a shitty father. My feelings toward her were mixed.

“Listen to me, Mia. I know Sienna hurt you; you have an opportunity to hurt her back.”

I removed the phone from my ear to look at the number again; it wasn't saved, but it didn't mean I didn't already have the original number of the person calling.

“Britney?” It was more like a whisper.
