Fable Norma Trail.
Fable Norma Trail. Somewhere far across the deserts, broadening beyond other lands and almost separated from civilization, laid the opulent and ostentatious kingdom of Trail. The inhabitants of this mighty nation were known as Trailians. An unbothered civilization, striving separately from other lifeforms, Trail was bathed with the scenery and patterns of mythical infrastructure. Walls and buildings were moulded tall and strong with Trail's ash colored earth, likened unto Olympics, which is said to harbor Greek gods. Water fell from almost everywhere, enhancing the nature essence that oozed in the atmosphere. Trees stood slender and high, so high that it almost kissed the sky. The sky was silver colored in the morning, golden brown at noon and burnt ash at night. Underneath water bodies housed flamboyant gems and petals, amongst beautiful and unique animals. Trailians possessed two arms and legs like humankind. The only difference were their web-like ears and of course, powerful relics. Arrogant but responsible, wise and Intelligent, thoughtful and quick-witted, brave and strong, stoic and hardened, handsome and tall, brutal when he needed to be, merciful in inherent moments. His name is Fable Norma Trail and he was about to be coronated as the supreme ruler of the kingdom, Trail. ( FABLE'S POV ) Fable had plotted, prepared and trained for his coronation for years. He knew of the immense importance that ascending the throne of Trail was, and the implications involved, hence his years of training. He also believed in the notion that not all kings rule the same way. Fable wanted to be a wise king, which he believed housed all the positive anchors of rulership. He didn't want to be like his father, Ankti Khan Trail, but he would learn from his father to polish who he was, which is A man of his life. His father, Ankti Khan Trail ruled with empathy, but Fable was willing to induce iron fist. That didn't mean that he wouldn't love his people, but he was determined to maintain balance. One of the most important rule Fable mended on his being was to never grow bond with any female specie, it was to never fall in love. Growing, living and learning as the man the he was, he had studied his parents. That was back when his family was complete. But when his mother passed tragically, he saw how heavily the demise rested on his father. Fable believed that love was a design, fashioned to make a man weak, prey on him and to destroy him. The death of his mother originated his yearn to never emotionally entangle with any woman. NO ONE MUST HAVE HIS HEART. But regardless of his decision not to fall in love, he needed women and he had them. He was a royal blood afterall, so surely he was the center of attraction of the females. And there was also his manly urges and need. Fable had a total of seventy eight women signed as his 'ORELIS'. Orelis in Trail, were known as women who belonged to men. If a woman was assigned to be a royal Orelis, her life belonged to him until she dies. Fable's Orelis were handpicked by a communitee that he set up to select women that met his fancy and were his taste. The first criteria was strength, Fable was a man who was turned on by the slightest display of strength. Then there was sight, which encompasses the women looks. Naturally, Fable didn't care about looks, but his communitee saw to it that the women were a sight to be looked upon. Fable made sure not to bond with any of his Orelis way more than he needed to. The activity was only centered on him and not them. They stepped in when they were told to, they pleased him and disappeared until they were needed again. ********************* " Ayanna, I can smell you, step out from where you are. " Fable beckoned from the chair he sat. He slowly dropped the comb in which he used to pattern his golden shoulder length hair. Ayanna chuckled as she lightly landed from a bulging rock planted on the wall on the left hand side. " Let me guess, prideful old Asisi in his moments? " Fable groaned. No woman in Trail or beyond gets to talk to him the way Ayanna did, and what made it worse was that she was his Orelis. The only reason Ayanna got the privilege to talk to him the way that she did, was the fact that she was his childhood friend. Fable's childhood was centered around a trio friendship. Himself, Ayanna and Santi. Ayanna was close to home, hence her attitude. Fable never wanted her to be his Orelis, he dreaded it. But that was one of his father's attempt in getting him to 'love'. It was a wasted effort of course, because Fable hadn't seen Ayanna's nakedness or slept with her. He couldn't, and he wouldn't. " Would you ever stop calling me that nickname? it's been ages, forget that incident. " " Would you let me into your Chambers and your arms? " Fable grunted, " Never. I told you Ayanna, go meet my father, the one who ordained you as my oreli and have him removed that title from you. " From his mirror, he could see how Ayanna clenched and fisted her arms in anger. She was temperamental. The brown satch she wore on both her palms were evident that she had been hunting. Fable turned his chair and faced her. " Have you been hunting? " He asked her. " You know I have. " She snarled. Fable rose and began inserting ironas on his head. Ironas are rare purple gems that only royals can own. " Ayanna, " Fable called lightly, but with a scent of command. Ayanna instantly stood still and bowed. She was his friend, but most importantly, she was his Oreli. She had to show him the utmost respect. With the way he called her name, she could sense a summoning. " My lord, " " I reckon that you are aware that it is forbidden to kill the animals? " Ayanna smirked. " This is not a joke. " " I hunted animals my lord. " Fable spammed his right palm on the white and brown rocky slab where his mirror was planted. " Take me to the animals that you killed. " Ayanna took her head up and flexed her wrist, staring at her hunting satch with pride and joy. " Relax Asisi, the animals are okay. " " How do you mean? Did you not kill them? " Fable asked with a sense of urgency. " Oh, I injured them to the point of death, but I healed them right before they died. " Fable was both concerned about the animals that Ayanna injured and the fact that she mentioned healing them. " Yes, " Ayanna was all smiles. She had stirred up surprise and perplexity from the man she was in love with, Fable Norma Trail. " I learnt healing spell. Just up to fourth gear though. " Fable narrowed his eyes, straining his thought to process and understand Ayanna's case. " It takes about 12 sunsets to learn healing spell up to fourth gear. " He told her. " 10 sunsets. " She corrected, " That was how long it took me. " Fable licked his lower lip and turned to view his reflection for the final time that day. " Are you proud of me? " Fable very well understood why Ayanna took the stress and pain of learning healing spell. " Never hurt the animals. It is a thing of admiration that you have learnt healing spell, use it for good. As your Lord and soon to be ruler, it is an order to never hurt the animals. " Fable was prepared to leave his quarters. " Umbili... " Ayanna said, causing Fable to cease his movement. " You're my umbili, why don't you ever acknowledge that? " Umbili is what Orelis refer to their owner. Their forever mate. Fable wanted to clear the air with Ayanna once and for all. He strides up to her and gently but firmly rested his eyes on her. " You are my friend, that is all you will ever be. There can be nothing between us__ " But why?! " Ayanna cried out. " Because I said so. Now do yourself a favor and listen to me. Go meet my father to__ " You know what Fable? I think I know why you're scared to have me. " Ayanna's voice was suddenly crooked. " I am not afraid and you should not cut me off when I'm speaking. " Fable sternly admonished her. Ayanna sighed, she knew that it wasn't Fable her friend speaking, that it was Fable the supreme leader. She had to obey. But she still cared about him nonetheless. " Have you been having itches lately? " Fable flinched immediately he heard the word itches. He hadn't had itches in years, and he hoped not to. Itches were termed as markers for big change. It was mostly believed to be negative change. In the past, itches meant war or natural catastrophes. Fable feared it. Before he answered, Ayanna retreated and walked further away, " You claim to be all wise and to know what you're doing. But what happens when you don't? when things... " She rolled her eyes, " When things change? " " I need to be elsewhere, my coronation starts in a few hours. " Fable was shading, and he knew it. " Yeah Asisi, run from the things that eludes you. You know that once you have me in your arms, I'll be the one to melt your ice cold heart. " Fable almost laughed. " do you think that high of yourself? " " Then let me into your bed for one night. " " That is never happening. " " Change is coming Asisi, wether or not you are ready for it. " Fable steadied his eyes on hers, " You know this better than anyone. Nothing under our sun or beyond can take me off guard. And as regards to my heart, if even the celestial goddess couldn't melt it, then no woman can. " Ayanna smiled palely, " We'll see about that. For now, I wish you goodluck with Taru. I hope he has positive prophesy to reveal. " Fable sighed. " I'm off to see him, don't destroy anything. " Fable walked out without turning back. ***************** As he parted ways with Ayanna, Fable was ever vigilant and positive in his decision not to let any woman into his heart. There was no way he would render himself defenseless. But the cold sting of Ayanna's words soon began to haunt him. What if she was right? Was he ready for that form of change? No way, Fable shook his head. He knew himself more than anyone, he was NEVER going to fall in love. Just as he journeyed to see Taru, he felt an itch. Fear was the first emotion that crowded his mind as he paused, frozen and shocked. Immediately, Fable mantled the fear with sudden bravery and located the region of the itch, which rose from the side of his right-arm. His eyes shown, broadened and keenly verified the skin harboring the itch. What appeared on his arm was a circular structured figure, like a planet. Fable didn't understand what it meant or why he was having an itch But little did he know that change was coming for somewhere far from his planet, EARTH.
