Mr David Valdez!
A round of applause for him everyone.
He won thrice now."
David came on the stage after his name was called to collect his trophy. He was about to go when the host asked
"How did you do it. How did you reach here. Can you please share it with us."
David smiled and said " As people say. behind every successful man their is a women.
My story is also the same.
A woman is behind my success.
I will always be grateful to her.
But I also deserved same credit you know.
As you know, I started from the bottom,
Once upon a time I was nothing, absolutely nothing. I was so broke that I didn't even have money to buy bread. But now, I am the most successful person on this planet. People envy me now.
They wish they were like me.
They used to be a day when I used to envy them.
There was a day when I wanted to end my life because I was tired of everything that was happening to me, but I thought, instead of ending my life, why don't I become something that will make people to worship me.
And I started my business on the road side.
Now look at me, I am so f*****g successful.
Damn man.
i'm so jealous of myself.
I never thought I will be from nothing to something.
I worked day and night to be where l am today.
So All the credit of this success will be mine.
If I didn't work hard, I would have still been a beggar, polishing your shoes on the street.
So I would thank myself for being me and God for giving me the courage to be here today."
He was about to go off the stage when one of the people ask who was the woman behind his success and he said
"She wasn't a woman, But a witch.
She come to destroy me.
She left me for a richer guy.
Now look at me .
I'm more successful then the guy she left me for.
The reason why I would Thank her is that if she having left me I wouldn't have been here today."
And he went off the stage and straight walked out the the function. He went in his car and throw the trophy somewhere in the car and started driving.
He drove to a jungle and got out of the car and lie down on his car bonnet and started staring at the sky.
After a while he look at the time and it was late so he decided to go home.
As he was driving he saw someone jumping off the bridge from far.
He rushed there but the person already fall off. It was so dark that he couldn't see who the person was.
He took his phone out and called 911.
The ambulance was taking long to arrive so he decided to jumpe in.
After, taking his coat out, he jumped in and started searching for the person.
After few search, He saw a female who was unconscious.
He took her out. He didn't know what to do and the ambulance wasn't there yet so he decided to give her mouth to mouth CPR .
After trying and trying the ambulance arrived and she was still unconscious.
They rushed out with a stretcher and placed her on it. The assess her condition and respond accordingly.
They push her in the truck and asked David If he would join.
He nodded in the negative so they left him behind.
David looked around and saw her car.
He run to it and started searching it. He saw a blue book so he took it out and went through without reading.
He run to his car with the Blue book on his hand, throw it somewhere inside and started driving to the hospital.
He reached the hospital and was waiting outside the emergency room walking up and down.
After a while, A nurse come out and said
"Sir call her family member, we need them so sign same papers before we start with the operation."
Shocked David asked "Why do you need to operate her?"
"Sir before she jumped she overdosed herself with pills, and we need to clean them from her body."
David said "Okay, I call them now ."
When she went back he said to himself
"Wait, what.
I don't even know her family.
Who must I call?
Oh yes!
Let me go check her Journal maybe I might find their names and numbers."
He started walking, but when he reached the elevator he stopped and said "No,no,no. That girl wanted to end her life. So it might be that her family doesn't like her or she has none.
Let me sign these papers.
Maybe by signing them, I am saving her from her family. "
He went to the reception table and said he will sign the papers.
She took a paper out and said "Sir sign her and write her name and your relation with her."
He took the paper and thought "What must I write, I don't even know her name."
He thought for a while and wrote her name as Jennifer Valdez. And the relation as husband and gave the paper to the nurse and said
"I signed it. Start the operation now. I will pay for everything. "
They started with the operation and he was outside the operation theater.
He walked up and down waiting the operation to get done. He sat down and thought to himself. "What is happening to me. why am I so worried?
Why am I helping a woman I know nothing about?
This is the first time is happening to me.
After 6 years. I am helping a woman out of all thing.
Like women should not be on earth at all.
They should all die a horrible death. So why did I help her and said she is my wife?
What the hell is happening to me.
No I can't be here, Let me just leave now. Yes I will pay for the treatment and I will leave. "
He went to the reception table and asked for the bill. He payed the bill and he left her there.
