Nyx:
Christmas was great. All the presents that I received were overwhelming. It made me cry. I don't think people were that generous and thoughtful. After Christmas, the days blurred together. Every day, I open more presents. They just kept coming. New Year’s came before i knew it.
I was excited and scared for this day. On New Year’s, all the people of the town get together and perform what they call the New Year’s moon bath. It's when everyone gathers together in the center of town and strip naked. They say a few prayers and bathe in the moonlight. They let go of the old year and soak in the new year and all the blessings that it may bring.
We got dressed in warm clothes and headed towards the town square. The ornaments from the trees were gone but the lights and holly remained.
