Avery sighed to herself laying in her bed after she had token a shower and got ready for bed.

Her mind was racing with thoughts about Onyx and Xavier.

Onyx was gentlemen like and Xavier was different. They had history and a deeper bond than Onyx.

She laid her head down on her pillow feeling the silk underneath her head drifting off to sleep.

*Avery’s Dream*

Avery laid on the grass in her wolf form enjoying the warm sun hitting her fur with her eyes closed before she felt a giant lick on the side of her face.

Her wolf opened her eyes immediately to see a giant black wolf with their tongue out hanging to the side like an i***t.

“Xavier?”Avery asked squinting her eyes at him and he made a sound of approval.

“Yes baby that’s me.”Xavier responded smiling in his head.

“I just left yesterday and you came to annoy me already.”Avery said staring at him.

“I love you,you really thought I wasn’t gonna find a way. Good thing I’m an Alpha or I wouldn’t have been able to use the portal.”Xavier replied smugly as Avery gasped in shock.

“The portal from ancient times,I didn’t know that actually worked.”Avery replied staring at him as she heard his wolf laugh.

“Yes but only the most powerful wolfs can get through. I wanted to check on you and I’m keeping all of my promises to you from now on.”Xavier said laying down in the ground beside her as he nuzzled her neck.

Avery shivered in contentment even though she knew she shouldn’t.

“I’m impressed,you did all that for me?”Avery asked smugly.

“Don’t get cocky girl,you’ll lose brain cells.”Xavier said laughing as Avery rolled her eyes.

“Asshole.”Avery muttered under her breath.

“He’s your asshole though Avery.”Sapphire reminded and shook her head.

She turned once she heard a laugh in her head and saw Xavier’s wolf chuckling.

“What’s!?”Avery snapped at him.

“She’s right I am your asshole,only yours.”Xavier replied and Avery could hear the smirk in his voice.

“Sapphire your not suppose to leave the link open like that for him to hear us like that!”I snapped annoyed now glaring at Xavier.

He laughed inside my head and I swear I could hear him rolling his eyes at me.

“How’s Onyx treating you Avery,if he did anything I’ll send the guards here and have someone break his neck personally.”Xavier said suddenly as my eyes widen staring at him.

“Xavier that’s a prince not just an Alpha wolf,have you lost your mind. You could be exiled.”Avery replied staring at him in shock.

“I do not care Avery,as long as he hasn’t touched you in any way.”Xavier snapped glaring at her as she glared back.

Her face softened as she sighed at him.

“Xavier do not fight a battle that isn’t yours”Avery said looking at him.

His gaze lingered on her before he responded softly.

“You are my battle and hopefully my Luna.”Xavier let out.

Avery felt her heart clench,her emotions were still spiraling at the two young men.

They seemed to be in a battle for her heart,Onyx was tempting and a gentleman.

Xavier was ruthless and a hot head but her best friend.

She watched as Xavier shifted in her dream and she looked away with a blush on her cheeks.

“You act as if you haven’t seen everything already.”Xavier said chuckling to himself as she heard clothes being put on.

Avery walked and shifted behind a tree looking for a pair of pants.

(it’s my dream,I can bring things in her if I concentrate enough.)

She stepped out of the trees to see him waiting for her.

She stood in front of him as he was frowning at her,she looked confused.

“Why are you-Before she could finish her sentence Xavier engulfed her into a tight hug and her eyes widened in surprise.

“It’s only been a day but I miss you already,s**t my wolf misses Sapphire and she’s hard to handle sometimes even for him.”Xavier said pulling away looking down at her.

Avery bit her lip as she felt pain soaring more through her heart,she did truly miss him.

These two men would really be the death of her at this point.

She couldn’t stand it but she was having a harder time trying to handle her emotions too.

“Anything happen on your first night?”Xavier asked seriously staring into her eyes,she could tell he wasn’t just asking her as her mate but also as her best friend.

Avery sighed before opening her mouth staring at him.

“I met the queen,she wants me to undergo lessons and Onyx told her to wait until I’ve made her decision between you two. I’ve also met Onyx’s ex-girlfriend.”Avery replied as Xavier sat there for a moment in thought as Avery stared at him.

“Do you believe Onyx is a good guy Avery?”Xavier asked her staring at her now raising an eyebrow for her answer.

“I-I think he is.”Avery stuttered looking away as Xavier sighed in frustration letting her go.

“Trust me Avery,he’s not. You may think he is because he’s one of your mates but your best interest has to be a game to him. There’s no way he’s a good guy. Not with what he has done in this life or in the past.”Xavier said seriously as Avery stared at him confused.

“I-I honestly think you’re jealous X”Avery replied seriously as she stuttered staring at him.

Xavier’s face went into shock before an unreadable expression took over.

“Avery yes I may jealous because he’s here around you 24/7 now and I’m not and my wolf is in pain and my heart when your not here but that accusation is a little over the top don’t you think.”Xavier asked narrowing his eyes at her.

“To be honest I’m not sure it is,How can I know you’re not the one who’s the bad guy here. You have lied to me before.”Avery asked seriously crossing her arms.

Xavier stared at her as if she had lost her mind annoyed now.

“I’m the bad guy but have been your best friend since we were in diapers. Yes A,I hurt you and I lied and I’m trying to make up for it now but Do you really think you can trust Onyx just because he’s a prince?”Xavier asked staring at her as if she was stupid.

She glared at him more annoyed also now.

“No I trust myself and right now I don’t trust either of you.”Avery snapped as Xavier growled lowly at her.

“f**k you and your alpha command,this is my dream and I want you to get out.”Avery snapped as Xavier glared at her again before running into the woods and shifting.

“Damn men,can’t even sleep in peace!”Avery snapped to herself before she opened her eyes and realize she was back in the palace looking around her room.

She had felt sweat on her forehead and touched her face and her eyes widened as a trickle of blood gushed from her scalp.

She reached up and turned towards the door to see it cracked open an figure of a shadow descending down the hallway.

“What the hell is going on!”Avery thought to herself as she looked at the blood on her hand shaking her head.
