Raoul
"Hi, ma." I smiled and went close to kiss her cheek.
"Rao... Where's Raven?" She asked immediately. "She's too packed for the day that she can't come for lunch. I'll bring her on sunday, though." I smiled reassuringly.
My mom nodded at that. "How's the firm, son?" My father asked.
"It's fine, pa."
With 5 brothers and I'm the youngest, I'm the only son that followed into my father's footsteps which is why he handed GLF to me while my other brothers pursued different careers which is also fine with our parents.
"How about Raven?" My mom giggled.
I raised my brow due to my mom's childishness.
"Don't rush me, ma." I smirked. "Why don't you rush my four older brothers?"
My mom sighed. "I know they're all just play." she rolled her eyes.
"And me?" I pouted while my brows are furrowed.
"You're still my baby but... you're not getting any younger, Rao."
I sighed. "Mom, if this is about Julia-"
"Shush!" I looked at my mom who's brows are furrowed now. "I don't want to hear her name. You deserve better. Don't lock yourself up just because-"
"Ma... I've got it. I'm fine." I smiled softly and my mom calmed down.
Raven: I wanna go home so bad
I smirked at that message and typed a quick message.
Raoul: I'll pick you up? ;)
Raven: NO
Raven: Goodness you take everything seriously! You go and work! I'm just ranting.
Raoul: Was about to really pick you up and have coffee.
"Rao,"
"Hm? What?" I turned my phone off to look at my mother who's calling me. She looks confused.
"I called you three times now. Who are you talking to on your phone?" My mom smirked. "Is it Raven?"
"Mom..." I rolled my eyes and she laughed.
After a quick lunch with my parents my brother asked me to attend an event which he sponsored but couldn't attend because he's overseas so he asked me a favor.
Raoul: Get ready on Friday. Evening. Our first event.
In a matter of seconds she replied already and said yes to my invite. I opened my i********: only to see Julia's story. I scoffed when I saw that it looks like she's on a date! Really now...
I took a quick look in my photos to find some stolen pics I did of Raven. I like this picture of her. It was the time we ate for breakfast and she's laughing so genuinely. I smiled at that and posted it on my story and in just seconds, I caused the media a ruckus.
I chuckled when Raven replied to my story.
@IamRaven_: ???
@RaoulGrey: ???
@IamRaven_: mentioned you in their story.
I got curious that I quickly viewed it. I bit my lower lip as she posted a fierce photo of me which is also a stolen one. My brows furrowed when I had to think when was that... Oh, right...
I quickly ordered a dress for her and a matching suit for the event. By the time of the event, I had to pick her up, of course.
Raoul: I'm outside of your condo.
Raven: Do you know how to knock?
I chuckled at that and didn't bother to reply. I knocked and a few seconds, she opened the door and unexpectedly I gazed at her for like 3 seconds. Yeah, she's stunning. The dress I bought for her suits her.
It was a red dress with her matching red lipstick. Red suits her very well.
"You look handsome tonight." She started and I smirked.
"Only tonight?"
She laughed at that and threw a cute punch in my chest. "Let's go.." I smiled.
As soon as we're at the venue of this event, the moment we got in camera flashes flicked right through us that we could almost be blinded by it. I held her hand and quickly went inside the venue.
"That was a lot..." Raven whispered.
We're already inside but I still hold her hand. I wonder if she noticed that.
"Mr. Grey! Great seeing you tonight." Mr. Navarro.
I nodded. "Good evening, Mr. Navarro. My brother couldn't be here to attend so I did on his behalf."
"Yes, yes... he mentioned. But, I didn't expect for you to bring the gorgeous Raven Buenavente with you." He looked at Raven wherein it sent a strike to my nerves. I didn't like that.
"Yeah, she's my girlfriend." I stated, seriously.
Mr. Navarro looked shocked. "After years... the cold Raoul Grey now has a girlfriend." He smirked. "May you both enjoy the evening, excuse me." He walked away.
After a few people greeting us we both got tired that we had to go to a quiet corner. I looked up and saw her just looking at me, raising a brow.
"You're still holding my hand." She stated and I looked at our hands, intertwined.
"The photographers are watching," I murmur as I brush my thumb lightly across her knuckles.
"They're not anymore." She whispered.
I looked right through her eyes.
"I know."
