I chuckled when I signed the document that I made.
Raoul: Good morning! The contract is done and ready to be signed.
Raven: Deliver the documents to my office. Thanks, Friend!
What? My brows furrowed instantly at what she said. Friend?
Raoul: Friend?
"Tsk." I tossed my phone and can't help to feel grumpy. She loves to tease me and I can feel that. I picked up the contract once again and re-read the article one. Damn it.
Before this contract I managed to taste her lips. Feel her body and touched her. Now after this, I can't. I'm prohibited to do so and I hate that I want a f*****g taste again. Every time after I kiss her, I feel guilt. Torn and like I'm stuck in a quicksand because I feel like I'm cheating on Julia.
She left me without a say.
"Mr. Grey, a scheduled client Aaron Matias is here." My secretary informed.
"Let him in."
A man in his 50s entered my office. I stood up and offered my hand for a formal greeting. "Good morning, Mr. Matias. I'm Attorney Grey."
He smiled a bit. "Good morning, Attorney Grey. I do know you, and I know you're the best which is why I hired you."
I nodded at that. "Sit down and tell me your case."
He sighed and got some documents from his briefcase and placed them on my table. "I need you to defend me from Raven Buenavente."
I froze as soon as I heard her name. Aaron Matias explained everything and now I'm here inside of Raven's office. I can't tell her that Aaron Matias, former president of this company has asked to be my client due to client confidentiality.
"A lot has happened already and it's not even noon yet." Raven chuckled before sighing heavily. "I don't believe it though but the board wants to sue our president. Aaron Matias. My family trusts him so much and he has been working for years in this company that we also treat him as family." She explained but I kept silent. "I told them to do further investigation because I don't want to do decisions that will just make me regret in the end!" She ranted now. "He's like my second father! What if he was blackmailed?"
I must not tell her that Aaron Matias is a client but why do I feel that I should and I want to tell her. I want to tell her. I suddenly remembered our article 3 clause 3.2 which is about honesty.
"Article 3 clause 3.2" I cut her off. "Honesty. I should not tell you about this due to client confidentiality but I want you to know it and I feel like you need to know it. But promise me you won't tell anyone?" I went closer to her and she nodded slowly. "Aaron Matias came in to my office this morning and asked me to defend him."
Her eyes widened. "He's innocent isn't he?!" She smiled widely and that smile is contagious that I unconciously smiled back before nodding as my answer.
She was so happy like for the first time I see her smile like that and that kind of smile is like a law to me that I want to memorize so bad. I smirked as she started to call some people regarding this.
I cleared my throat to have her attention. The moment her eyes set on me, I pointed at our contract.
"Oh, right!" She quickly went back to her table and got a pen then within seconds she signed it.
"There, you're officially my fake boyfriend." She chuckled and I rolled my eyes as she laughed.
