The escape

Episode 6

The Woman Cop whose car was supposed to be faulty as she claimed, zoomed off with speed and the Other Cop that has been waiting in the car sat up from his seat at the front and looked through the truck window surprisingly.

Where is she heading to?"

he asked his colleague when he saw that she moved towards another end.

"Why?"

He asked again curiously.

"Because she needs a repair on her trunk"

he answered simply.

"With the Wolf in the city?"

He asked again.

"Yes it safer for the Wolf to be with who she trust"

he replied again.

"Wow, so she trust her?"

He asked rhetoricaly as they drove off in silence especially when he noticed his colleague seem to be fine with the idea.

The Woman Cop drove to an extreme edge of the road towards the outsketch of the city as she stopped the car abruptly and went down from her truck while she opened the back part of the car where Ava was kept, she quickly took off the handcuff from Ava's hands and signalled for her to come down from the car as she did and quickly turned around for her to get into the front seat as Ava struggled to hop in because she was already feeling drained again from the hurtful bite and early stage of pregnancy sicknesses, she feels hungry and it feels like she was going to pass out anytime soon, she sat on the seat but her head fell to the side of the seat, resting her head on the window edge as The Cop tried talking to her.

"Are you there?"

She asked but did not wait for a reply before saying everything she wanted saying to her.

"I would have taken you to my apartment, but I can not do that because they would find you and they will not spare you because you are dangerous to them, they will not listen to you, but I can take you somewhere else, I will not go there with you because they detest humans but I know they would be willing to help you, I will drop you when I get to my limit and you will find your way to their Pack"

The Woman Cop said quickly as fast as she could with her breath so unstable and her heart beats fast, she was not sure about what she was doing or even considering the gravity, but she really wants to see to the safety of the helpless creature beside her, all along Ava said nothing but she could hear all that The Cop was saying as she really wished she could reply her but she seems to weak to do that as she only moved her fingers and that was how The Cop knew she was still talking to the living as she continued.

"They are the Cougars" she simply said and as if Ava was sprinkled a few almond of energy, she got up and repeated her statement after her.

"The Cougars?"

She lamented in a low soft pained voice.

"Yes the Cougars, they are huge, competing animals in magnitude, and are commonly kittens with revamp coloured throats, trunks and abdomens. They reside in a warm, humid regions appear darker reddish-brown while those in colder climates are brighter and almost silver-gray in shades, they are offshoots of the Felidae lineage, cougars are carnivorous felines"

she said as she kept mute for a while wondering if that information makes Ava scared.

"They devour a variation of huge and minor mammals such as squirrels, raccoons, armadillos, pigs, deer, coyote, elk, caribou and moose. Cougars are strongly assembled, powerful hunters. Their limbs are additional athletic than their front limbs and provide them huge leaping leverage. Their flexible ridges and sharp velocity pay for these kittens the capacity to shift paths in a flicker, important for both ambushing and hunting target. Cougars stalk their target, then leap at close spectrum for attack; nonetheless, they also have to be ready for a chase if a strong deer gives rise to a run for it, knowing about them should make you safer with them I guess and apart from all these, they are defensive, agile and adaptable, they are the mount Lions because they love to oversee the mountains. They will not have a problem with you around them, have read about them a lot just as have read about you too"

the Cop answered and at once she stopped the truck beside a huge mountain that splits a vast land into kingdoms, actually two kingdom precisely.

"We are here!"

She announced as she opened the door immediately and she turned around the truck still talking to Ava but Ava could only hear the fainted voice like it was In a dream, she was definitely going to pass out anytime soon.

"This is where I will be dropping you Ava, you have to find your ways to the Cougars, it just behind the Mountains"

she said as she turned around to open Ava's side of the car, as she did Ava fell to the floor like a log of wood which got The Cop absolutely out of balance. The land was widely open without buildings and it seems like a neglected part of the world but on the other hand it was a sight to behold. The air seems to move freely without obstruction, so soft and sounds good to the ears that you could almost identity where it was at the moment and get hold of it in your palm, the land is so green with it's fresh grass that looks like that in Disney movies with beautiful hibiscus flowers amongst it, maybe the environment was too heavenly for it to be destroyed by Humans, that was why they were not allowed to reside in the land, it has a thin route just beneath the rock that allows a clean transparent water flow freely but this was not the time to admire the environment as The Cop dragged Ava to herself

"s**t!"

She lamented as she placed her hands on her waist looking clueless when she realized the assumed light young lady was actually not really light as she let her down and looked through the silver wristwatch placed on her wrist and checked the time only to find it almost night and she might not get to town before the night get darks, she hissed but knew it not safe for Ava to be at this part of the earth, she decided to do something about it as she carried her on her shoulder and she moved gently beside the mountain trying to turn around with Ava still on her shoulder, she dropped her to the floor again when she got tired as she dragged her on the grass, gently destroying the soft plant which created paths of their trespass, as The Cop moved closer to the pack she was alert even at her distressed tired stage, she already had her uniform tucked out with her hair all loosed and her face red with a pale eyeballs, at this time it was already dark and The Cop heard a loud roar as she fidgeted letting go of Ava immediately and ran towards the truck, she got into the truck and found the animal she had only watched on documentary programs on television starring right at her, her truck front light was shinning directly on the animal's eyes as it shun back to her, she could not continue to look at it which got her taking her sight off the animal in fear, when she was going to look back at it, it had gone and she zoomed of immediately leaving the land even when she was not sure of the route any longer in the dark.

The Woman Cop finally got to the city early in the morning when the city was still dark and went straight to her apartment only to find the other guys including some other Colleagues who have been looking for her and had decided to start early in the morning again in search of her.

"Hey she is here!"

One of them spurted at the sight of the truck as they all moved closer to her, But The Woman Cop stayed put in her car quiet far away from them as she was scared to face them, she quickly brought out a knife from her waist and mutilated her hands to make herself bleed, she need evidence to lay down her lies.

"What happened to you?... Where have you been?"

They asked her so many questions at a time, apart from being Colleagues they are also best of friends which makes them talk to each other casually outside working areas.

"She escaped and almost killed me!"

She answered when the other Cop who had gone with her to the hotel, Jerry faced his Colleague who was driving the car.

"I told you it not safe for her to take the animal into the city alone with her, but you were silence about it"

he pointed but the other Cop said nothing as he was only starring at her like he could see through her.

"Oh you are bleeding, come on in, you need some rest and a warm bath"

she was taken Inside as she bath and they rested while she ate something before they all set to leave for work and they promised to relay the incident that had happened to her at work, the Cop who she told she was going to get a car repair stayed back just as she had predicted since he has been starring at her awkwardly, he seems to have a different version of story to the incident.

"You lied, I know you are lying and I know your car needed no repair, I know you tried to help her, you can deceive the rest of them but not me, but it none of my damn business and you have your reasons for doing what you have done so I will let slide"

he said while resting his back on the wall with one of his legs bended to the wall and the other on the floor, as he stopped talking he loosened up and set to leave with the others.

"Thanks"

The Woman Cop said to him, he was already at the door when he heard that as he turned around and nodded before leaving while she sipped her coffee again and sighed.

"This phase is over!"
