Episode 9
"I am sorry Father, I would never have given her that if I had known it would kill her, I was only trying to help, I watched how stressed you had become about saving her so I decided to try that antidote"
Emily said crying so much as she was still staying on the same spot with her hands between her thighs and her hair fell to her sweaty face, her runny nose messed up her face as she was certainly feeling so dissappointed at herself that George feels sorry for her but he could not bring her to him for comfort at this time when he has a corpse in his apartment.
"What are you saying Emily?
George said out of frustration as he got up digging his hands into his soft curly hair in confusion.
"You do not even know what that antidote is for plus I am yet to infer that I can use it for any body, I have asked you to stay away from that room countless time Emily, it is not for you to visit"
he shouted at her making pointed fingers everywhere to make emphasis.
"It is not a play ground Emily, don't you get it?"
He shouted on top of his voice, at her again as he went back to the floor all sweaty with anger and depression in his bloody red eyes.
"I am sorry Father, I am so sorry!"
Was all Emily could say to him all along as they both went silent for a while. George was thoughtful about what to do with the rare corpse of a warewolf while Emily really wished she could turn back time to when she had not given her the antidote or even when they've not brought her because someone else would have done that or probably she would just die there, she regretted everything that had happened lately from going to the mountain to finding Ava and to bringing her home and to crown it all, the worse part of everything she had done was trying to give her an antidote she was not sure of, time went by but they could not leave her room as they both stayed in her room probably hoping she was going to wake up in which she never did,
Emily felt very remorsed and unhappy about everything, nonetheless she was just a child and a smart one for her to know she could save Ava with the liquid from her Father's chemistry room, she slept off after a long while and in the middle of the room her Father was left alone to think about how to handle the problem at hand, he tossed around in the room as he walk to Ava placing his middle beneath her nose to find out if she was awake but she was not breathing still, as all hope seems lost to him, he sat close to her bed placing his head on the bed she was layed and also slept off painstakingly out of stress.
It was past midnight but before the morning sun when Emily woke up to a very foreign female voice as she gently opened up her eyes to realise she was not really dreaming but that sound and voice was in reality.
"Alex!"
The same sound kept coming up with thesame voice as Emily wondered what it was.
"Alex!"
She heard again and that was supposedly coming from someone who was assumed dead. Emily found Ava in a troubled condition as she was moving her head in pain with tears rolling down her eyes as she kept on calling on the same name "Alex" that Emily almost forgot what happened yesterday night, she had to recover the memory of Ava shutting down yesterday when she was given the antidote and immediately she called on her Father waking him up from his deep sleep.
"Father! She is alive!"
Emily shouted on top of her voice patting her sleepy Father roughly who also jumped at the understanding of what Emily has said.
"Oh my God, it worked!"
Gorge shouted in excitement as he jumped up subconsciously, Emily have never seen that before, she has never seen George in so much excitement and hyper active mood, she smiled as she looked at him in amusement in as much as she was lost.
"What Father, What worked?"
She asked but still keeping the smile.
"The antidote, it worked perfectly well, it scared me but it worked Emily"
he said as he lifted Emily up like a toddler but immediately kept her when he realized he was being unnatural as he went straight to Ava whose eyes was still filled with tears rolling down in as much as she was no longer talking, he could see her chest and stomach heaving up and down and that means she was breathing. George had an uncontrollable tears in his eyes as he was having a mixed up feeling he could not explain.
" She is alive now Father, why are you crying?"
Emily asked and this again she has never seen her Father do, he hardly show any emotional status, never excited and never shows remorse but on the same night she could see him do both, George only remembered every history that have sorounded the antidote.
"I have been working on this antidote for so long but it never worked out the result"
he said as he sniffed trying to talk to probably the only person he could talk to right now.
"I thought it was meant to heal, what exactly were you aiming at Father?
Emily asked looking so curious.
"The antidote was for healing but it not all just about that, it was also created to revive you from death"
George said as he looked directly at Ava not trying to face Emily even when her eyes were wide opened and her mouth refusing to be closed.
"Father I have always heard that death is inevitable, how then did you did this? "
She asked but he stayed mute and Emily knew at ones that she can no longer make him talk but George have so many bottled up memories in his chest that he could not tell the young Emily, she is still very tender to hold informations like that in her head so he decided to keep them to himself.
"Watch her closely, she should be awake soon, let me know when she is awake okay? "
He said and left the room to his room as he sat on his bed letting out his tears uncontrollably this time not minding the pressure, he had to let out his pains in tears since he could not say it to anyone. George had informed Emily about her long he had been working on his antidote and why he is excited that it works but he did not inform her that the idea of creating such antidote started when he was trying to save his wife from the verge of death.
"What happened? Why did she die?"
He said drooling uncontrollably.
"Why did it never worked for her, she meant so much to me"
he said to himself in the dark room.
"She meant so much to me!"
He continued.
"Why did she left forever!.
"Father!"
He heard from outside his room as he immediately got the message that Ava was awake. On getting there he found Ava sitting up on the bed with traces of blood on her thighs.
"My baby?"
She cried out firstly as Emily and George simultaneously starred at her buy was more concerned about her baby.
"My baby, save my baby"
she cried to them.
"Have you been pregnant?"
George asked shokingly.
"Where am I?"
Ava asked like she was just realising where she was.
"This is the blue alley Pack, we found your body beside the entrance Mountain"
Emily said first.
"We helped you and brought you down here, I am George, A physician and an Alchemist of the cougars".
George continued from where Emily stopped.
"Cougars?"
Ava asked shockingly as she shifted a little bit from defense of the People around her, this is most probably because of what she had heard from the Woman Cop.
"Don't worry, you are safe here"
George said to her.
"We know what you are and that is not a problem as long as you do not mean any harm or trouble"
George said as Ava quickly shook her head in reply to what George has said to affirm that she mean no harm.
"You did not loose your baby, that was a flow from the antidote, it is safe because it not meant to stay in you after the healing"
George said to her.
"But it good to know you are carrying a baby, It would make me to be careful with what I offer you"
George said to her and all along Emily stood there only starring at the flawless Ava who does not look pregnant at all.
Ava looked towards her place too and their eyes met as they locked stares for a while before George announced his exit and Emily followed as she was yet to trust staying with Ava alone.
"I will bring you something to eat and some pain killers, until then make yourself comfortable" George said to Ava who only nodded as George and Emily both left the room.
Ava still felt weak and crampy as she gently lifted her dress and gently rubbed her little portruding tummy.
"You are strong to have stayed all along, you are an Alpha, it explains why you are strong"
Ava said as she sighed and sniffed around conciously only to look around and found Lilly starring at her with her tail looking blossomed but her eyes bloody red which got Ava so alerted.
