You are sick

Right now, I want to open the damn door and rush out of the car, run like a madwoman until I lose Kael. But my body felt frozen in the front seat of his car as he drove us out of the hotel parking lot. It's official, I am a fool because I allowed him to talk me into wearing his shirt which is huge like a freaking dress on me with my dirty jeans. Looking away from the car windshield, I watched him, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel as he bobbed his head to the music playing loud in the car, and he was wearing his coat. This is crazy… he is nuts, and I am insane for allowing us to reach this far. If I knew just how obsessed and possessive this dude is, I would have never wandered into that room. Gosh, and I hate myself for having some kind of attraction towards him. Well, he's stupidly hot, so I don't blame myself for being tempted. "What's your phone number?" Kael asked, suddenly looking my way. Pretending that I didn't hear him because of the music, I looked away from him and stared back at the window without replying. Within a second, the car grew quiet, and I squeezed my eyelids shut, frustrated that he was about to say something, and I would feel forced to respond. "What's your number?" Kael said again in a calm tone. "I don't have one," I mumbled, resting my cheek against my fist as I sighed out my frustration. The further I want to get away from this dude, he keeps forcing his way into my life, and I need him out of it, anticipating the trouble that comes with him. "Is that so?" Kael mumbled, not losing the calmness in his voice. "Yes," I let out. My answer was followed by a couple of minutes of silence. Then the car abruptly came to a stop in front of a*****e, and when I realized where we were, I just wanted to cry out my frustration. This dude doesn't give up. What the hell is wrong with him, becoming this obsessed with me all of sudden. Was last night his first time having s**x with a virgin, is that why he is so stuck on me because he feels compelled now? "I don't need a phone," I mumbled, glaring at Kael as he removed his seatbelt. "Right, you don't want a phone, but I need your number." Kael casually uttered, not caring about the cold stare I gave him. Lowering my gaze to the floor, I hesitated and then whispered beneath my breath, "Can we just part ways and pretend like last night never happened?" "Huh?" Kael mumbled, and I heard a raise in his tone. "Can we just be strangers again? You saved me, and I repaid you with s**x. That should be the end of us… of this. So let's pretend…" "No!" "Kael, please!" Feeling tears in my eyes, I pouted as he looked at me for a long time, hoping that he would agree. But he unlocked the door and said, "I will be back. Don't leave the car, or else you will be punished when I find you." Unbelievable! This is fuck.ing absurd. It's like I am talking to a concrete wall, and he doesn't give a sh.it about what I am saying. Silently, I watched Kael get down from the car, and my gaze followed him until he entered the building, then I squeezed my tears out of my eyes as I rested my head against the dashboard. There's no way I am going to take him to my actual house because I have a bad feeling that he is going to show up whenever he wants and cause problems for me. For years, I had worked so hard to get my father's approval and my position at the company, I can not allow this jackass to ruin it completely. There's no way I am enabling Debbie and her daughter to take over what rightfully belongs to my mother… to me. It's not like I hate them, but I know how wasteful they are with money, especially Debbie. She constantly drained my father of his cash with lavish shopping, parties, and other stuff. After waiting in the silence of the car, wondering if I should just get down and take a taxi, I raised my head and saw Kael walking back to the vehicle with a plastic bag. When he got in the car, he smiled as he stared at me. Then he gently stroked my head and mumbled, "Good girl." Like a dummy, I smiled softly at those words before catching myself and realizing what I had just done. Then I grabbed his wrist and pushed his hand off my head. Like always, he played it off like nothing, reached into the bag, and took out a box, handing it to me. Hesitant, I stared at the phone, knowing how expensive this brand is, and I wanted to reject it immediately, but when I look into his eyes, I knew that that wasn't an option. Slowly, I took the box out of his hands and opened it, wanting to feel appreciative and frustrated at the same time. Why was he so nice to me when we literally just met last night? There isn't a thing such as love at first sight, so why? "We can get another if you don't like the color," Kael mumbled, getting my attention off the phone and on his eyes. "No, I love rose gold," I said, feeling the corners of my lips twitch upward. "Is that what it's called. I simply thought it was pink, and you can't go wrong with that color when it comes to girls." Narrowing my eyes at how ignorant he was, I looked back at the phone, taking it out of the pack and turning it around to get a closer look at its beauty. "Hand it over," Kael mumbled, showing his hand in my face. Recklessly, I rested it on his palm and watched as he went through it until he finally gave it back to me and said, "That's my number. It's on speed dial also, so press one when you want to get to me quickly." Not knowing if it was going to be of any use explaining the same thing over, I huffed and mumbled, "Kael, I…" But he suddenly cut me off, "If I call you, and you do not answer, I will come to your house." "You are sick!" "Exactly! So don't play stubborn with me because you don't know how far I can go to have you as mine. For now, I will give you time to break up with your so-called fiance. But know tha…" "What the f***k is wrong with you?!" "But know that your time is limited." Now I was seriously scared because he look so fuck.ing serious as he spoke, and I knew he wasn't kidding, not the tiniest bit. "Where are we heading?" Kael asked as he started the car. "Hmmm, 24th Avenue, house number, 3," I mumbled absentmindedly without looking away from him. When he put the car in gear, I rested back against the seat, gazing out the window, feeling completely hopeless. The ride was short as I expected, and once he brought the vehicle to a stopped in front of the house, I looked at him and whispered, "You said that you will give me time, right?" "Yes," Kael said, joining his brows in a frown. "Then please don't follow me, or come after me when I get out. I am begging you, so can you please listen to me for once?" "Sure." At first, I didn't move a muscle as I wondered if he was pranking me or something. Then I reached for the car door, looked back at him, and mumbled, "Thanks for everything." To my surprise, after I got down, Kael drove off with his car, and I subconsciously stared after it until it disappear down the driveway. Is this finally my freedom, or was it just a break before the nightmare resurfaced, I wasn't sure. But I pushed the thought aside, walked over to the front porch, and rang the bell. When the door opened, Elle was standing in the doorway, and I walked up to her as she gazed at me, and I suddenly felt the urge to cry. “Morning,” I said, trying to sound cheerful. But Elle frowned at me. Then she suddenly pulled me into her arms and hugged me tightly. “Why are you trying to act strong? I'm your best friend, you know.” Elle whispered, and I wrapped my hands around her and softly sob. We stayed like that for a while, then she let go of me, took my hand, and led me into the house. When we got into her bedroom, Elle walked over to the closet, opened it, and took out a bat. “What are you going to do with that?” I mumbled, trying not to laugh. “I'm going to beat the sh.it out of Ara and Debbie!” Elle shouted as she tightened her grip on the handle. "I told you not to fuck.ing follow Ara to that club. We both know they are snakes!" Chuckling faintly, I couldn't help wondering why she looked so mad until she let out, "When your father called, asking if I had seen you, telling me that you went missing last night, I couldn't help thinking the worst." Those bit.ches called my father to report that I when missing! What the hell are the two of them up to this time.
