Rejected
Despite being a beta, Jensen's wolf is a dominant alpha .However, due to his past mistakes he had no other option than to take on the beta position once older brother Parker took the position of Alpha of the Blood Moon pack. Jensen‘s black hair that was long on top and short on the sides always look like he had tassels that had hair and deep blue eyes made him look like a rugged young movie star with his 6 foot eight height and his muscular features. . Jensen was even taller than older, brother and father. He pride himself on being physically fit and a good father to his son. Jensen ‘s apartment, located on the second floor known as the "beta floor was located in the back, House. The Packhouse itself was a big luxurious four story large mansion”. It has been his home for the past two years since becoming the beta. Looking back and in deep thought. Jensen sits on his living room couch, his expression heavy with regret as he gazes at a photograph of his chosen mate, Lisa, and their young son, Chase. A sudden knock on the door breaks his contemplation, causing his wolf, Roman, to stir within him. "Not now, Roman," Jensen mutters under his breath, unable to deal with the turmoil his wolf is causing him at the moment. He whispers calming words to Roman, trying to soothe the beast within. Despite Roman's growling protest, Jensen stands firmly and strides over to open the door, where Lance, his best friend and the gamma of the Blood Moon pack, has just entered. Closing the door behind him, Lance's concerned gaze meets Jensen's. "Hey, man, you don't look so good. Parker I mean Alpha Parker sent me a pair to check on you and let you know that Chase is safely with your mom and Luna Phoebe" Lance inquires, his voice laced with concern. Taking a deep, steadying breath, Jensen glances once more at the photograph in his hand before opening up. "I'm not okay," he confesses. "Lisa, my ex, just texted me to say she's found her true mate. She left a message wishing Chase, our son, and me the best in life. She's starting anew with Oscar, her fated mate, and they're planning to build a life together on his territory," Jensen explains, the pain evident in his voice. Lance sits down beside him on the couch, sensing Jensen's distress. "you just need to focus on your son and yourself that’s what’s best for you both. Jensen sets the picture down, running his hands through his hair in frustration. "It's complicated. I never fully committed to her because Roman and I have been at odds. I couldn't mark her, breaking the bond, and she ended up finding her true mate," Jensen reveals, the weight of his decisions heavy on his shoulders. Lance gives Jensen a supportive clap on the back. "So, she stayed with you all these years, leaning on your strength and status, only to leave for a warrior from another pack? We all know that doesn't sit right. Lisa always wanted you to mark her, if memory serves me right," Lance states, voicing the unsaid thoughts between them. Jensen nods, a mixture of guilt and resignation in his eyes. "I just couldn't do it. I couldn't bring myself to fully claim her, and Roman has been a constant challenge ever since our first shift last year ," he admits, his voice deep with introspection and a hint of sorrow. "How could you have possibly predicted that Lisa would find her true mate in a warrior from a neighboring pack?" Lance pondered. "He was here only for treaty negotiations with your brother, led by his Alpha, Sam Jarge of the Winter Moon pack. Without those talks, she would never have crossed paths with her destined partner." Jensen continued, "I fathered a child with her before my wolf, Roman, emerged at 18. Being only 17 at the time, and she 19, marking her was out of the question. Now, two years later, Roman is a constant presence, fiercely devoted to our son Chase, yet he refuses to mark Lisa. He insists he senses our true fated mate out there—a powerful and formidable wolf. And now, Lisa's gone, claimed by that insignificant warrior from the other pack, marked in a moment of haste within the confines of a food pantry closet. It was a matter of mere minutes before they were discovered by an Omega." Jensen's face darkened, haunted by the moment of his transformation into Roman. His wolf, suppressed for so long, had unleashed a torrent of anger and betrayal towards Jensen for his reckless actions and for choosing a mate deemed unworthy by destiny itself. "Stay strong for your son, and harbor no regrets," Lance advised softly. "But I do," Jensen confessed, his voice heavy with remorse. "I regret succumbing to Lisa's seduction every single day. Yet, our nature as wolves predisposes us to such desires, even before our first shift. The only solace I find is in my son, Chase—the best thing to emerge from all this chaos." Sensing Jensen's inner conflict, Lance rose from his seat, positioning himself before Jensen with a gaze that sought to penetrate his soul. "Why not transform into Roman and let him roam freely for a while? It might help clear your mind," Lance suggested. "No, I need to remain as I am for now. Roman is overwhelmed with grief over Lisa's actions towards Chase," Jensen replied, his voice tinged with sorrow. Lance, puzzled, expressed his confusion. "I can't understand how Lisa could abandon her son to be with her mate. It's unnatural. She-wolves are known for their fierce protection of their offspring," he remarked. Lisa was hesitant to let Oscar know about her attempts to elevate her status from a simple omega within our pack. She feared Oscar would reject her and our son, Chase, based on the distressing text she sent when she ended our relationship and abandoned our child. Jensen explained this with a heavy heart. "Look, man, that's on her. I thought the rumors were just rumors until she chose her mate, effectively abandoning your son as if he meant nothing. And now, Chase is in the pack hospital, receiving special care. It's infuriating to see a toddler suffer like this. Luna Phoebe has even called in a witch to ensure his safety. You should be with him," Lance responded, clearly upset by the situation. As Roman's presence intensified, signaled by Jensen's eyes turning black and his clothes nearly tearing from his body in a display of raw power, he shattered a coffee table with a single punch, overwhelmed by anger. Jensen struggled to maintain control. "My son has been facing challenges, but my mom and Phoebe have been incredible supports," Jensen admitted, calming slightly. Lance, feeling the weight of Jensen's Alpha aura, suggested, "Why don't we let our wolves out for a run? It might help Roman calm down. How about it?" "I need to get him under control before I consider anything else. Right now, it feels like my bond with my own wolf is fracturing," Jensen confessed, the strain evident in his voice. "Trust me, letting Roman out for a run will help. It's a chance to mend your bond. He's a part of you, Jensen. A little freedom could strengthen your connection," Lance insisted. "I'm here for you, you know, Jensen," Lance replies as he opens the front door, stepping out into the hallway. "Thanks, I appreciate that," Jensen says, returning the hug before they part ways. Lance walks down the hall, and Jensen shuts the door behind him. Stretching and cracking his back, Jensen heads to the fridge for another beer. As he searches for the bottle opener, he senses someone trying to connect with him through a mind link. His eyes glaze over momentarily. "Jensen, I have the Luna hybrid, Jayla, and her sister here to help with Chase in the hospital." "Are they the twin witches who can guide us?" Jensen inquires. Yes, they are. She replies happily. How do you get them to agree to come here? He asked. "I have my ways," Phoebe replies. "Are my parents still with you?" Jensen asks. "Your father was, until your mother decided to hunt down Lisa. She's out for vengeance. I could never reject a child under any circumstances. It's abhorrent." Yeah, but it’s different because you’re fed mate my brother marked and made it with you. And you didn’t have a child out of wedlock Jensen replies. Your mother said the same thing to me, before she ran out of here letting her wolf Penny take control “ Phoebe replies "Did my father go after her to stop her?" Jensen probes. "No, actually, he went to Parker's office to figure out a way to break the treaty with Alpha Sam's pack." "For what reason? All Lisa did was find her fated mate, as painful as it is. She hasn't done anything wrong." "Are you F ing kidding me, Jensen? Your ex, Lisa, broke up with you via text, then rejected your son while he was napping in the nursery, right after becoming mated with that warrior, Oscar. I can't believe you didn't feel anything when that happened," Phoebe retorts. "I was down on the training grounds with 200 others, teaching a class. Roman felt the pain for our son before I did. It was I who ran to that nursery, cradled him, and took him to the Pack hospital. When I saw her, Roman and I nearly attacked her for what she had done. I had to restrain myself to avoid sparking a war over a foolish fated mate bond," Jensen explains. "Just take your time and calm Roman down. He knows we're all here for Chase and you. I won't leave your side, that's a promise," Phoebe reassures. "Thank you," Jensen says as he ends the mind link. Jensen retraced his steps into the living room, pausing at the sight of the shattered coffee table. Squatting down, he retrieved a photograph of his now ex. Clutching the image, he wandered over to the kitchen stove. With a deliberate motion, he held the photograph's edge to the burner, igniting it. He promptly tossed it into the barren sink, eyes fixed as the flames engulfed the picture, erasing it beneath their fervent dance. Roman spoke up, "We need to bring in some Omegas and clear out the rest of her belongings. Lisa left with nothing but the clothes on her back." "You're right. I know my son will never want anything to do with his mother's possessions after what she's done to him," Jensen replied with a heavy heart. "We can have the Omegas take everything to the open field behind the pack house. We'll ensure it's a controlled area and burn all her belongings," Roman suggested, a hint of laughter in his voice. "Or we could let the Omegas keep what they want and dispose of the rest." "Come on, you know destroying that picture felt good. Let's burn a few more of her things," Roman urged, eager. "Fine. We can do that," Jensen conceded. After his conversation with Roman, Jensen summoned an Omega to his room. He set aside a few of Lisa's favorite items—some jewelry, clothing, and a couple of purses—and tossed them into a small dumpster. With a gas can provided by an Omega, he drenched everything in gasoline, struck a match, and watched with a sense of twisted joy as it all burned. "You know, Roman, if you had let me mark her, we wouldn't be in this mess," Jensen mused. "I waited a whole year, hoping she was my true fated mate, not just because I was convinced, but because I felt a connection. I thought our son would bring us closer. The moment I could, I would've marked her, but you resisted. This is on you." Roman replied, "I've told you, I don't want to be hasty. Our true mate is out there, I can sense it. She might still be too young to shift." "So, what? You think our mate is royalty or something? The only female royal is the Lycan Alpha King Lincoln Fraiser's mate, the Lycan Luna Queen Sage Fraiser, and they have no children, as far as we know," Jensen countered. "Like you said, as far as we know. But I sense our mate is close," Roman insisted.
